      I gave 1 star because that's the lowest option. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! You will regret it. Bad in every possible aspect of measurement.

      If I could place a zero rating, I would. My insurance company uses Safelite as the primary glass repair provider. I learned that calling my insurance is the only way to reach a live person at Safelite!! Last summer Safelite refused to do onsite repair on one vehicle, so I found my own replacement. Fast forward to today, Safelite repaired my chipped windshield some years ago, and now the windshield cracked. Set up a warranty replacement at my home, I have the emailed confirmation, and nobody showed up. I made calls through their system...total failure. Called my insurance to get routed to Safelite and they have no reason other than a "system failure" why a technician did not arrive. I took the morning (now all day) off of work to be home for this repair, an hour on the phone dealing with this mess. Safelite NO MORE, EVER. And, ******, before you reply with your automated message to call Safelite, it's a joke. Horrible company!

      I had my windshield replaced 1/24/2023. The service of the replacement was fine. The tech was polite, arrived in the promised window, and completed in the estimated time. I have a 12" crack in the windshield less than 2 months later. The tech arrived for the warranty appointment and said it was new damage from debris striking it. If it was truly new damage I could understand this. There is no indication of debris striking the windshield. There is no chip in the windshield. The crack is from a failure in the glass or faulty install. A picture was taken and did not show this alleged debris strike but was sent to his manager and the manager also denied warranty repair. Nothing was showing in the picture. They clearly don't want to honor the warranty and can simple state new damage to get out of it.

      Each repair shop has a phone number to contact for service questions and a toll free number for customer service… why bother???? Absolutely no way to talk to anyone, endless loop of automation. I emailed a question to customer service, no reply.
      We will never use safelite again, or refer them to anyone.

      I got held up at work so I tried to call to see if I needed to reschedule before driving out there. I thought I’d gotten through the automated system and the after 20 min on hold the line disconnected. So I drove 45 min in traffic and was 20 minutes late. Then I was told that even if I was willing to wait longer I couldn’t be seen since they were two cars behind so my lateness clearly had nothing to do with my kit being seen. So I wasted an hour of PTO, gas, and two hours of my day. I am going to stick to small companies where real people pick up the phone moving forward. Staff is very polite and a prior windshield repair done here was done well. Stick to drop off appointments if you come here.

      My 18 year old son’s rear window shattered on his drive back to college. That Sunday afternoon I scheduled a 8-1 appointment for Monday. The tech called my son at 8:30 Monday asking if the car was in a covered area as rain was expected. He moved it from his uncovered dorm lot to a covered parking garage a 5 minute walk from his dorm. We heard nothing after this. My son missed his first class thinking the tech was on his way. I placed a few calls to check status and the tech could not be reached. I was finally told it would be between 1 and 2:30 when he arrived. He arrived at 4:00 and told my son it was too wet outside and too dark inside to to the job and the office would call to reschedule and he walked away,
      I called the office and was told a 1-6 appointment the next day was the only option. My son had a 5:00 class and since it was “too dark” (work lights are not an option?) at 4:00, I asked if the tech could please get there as early as possible.
      The tech called my son in the morning and said he would be there after lunch. At 1:30 he was not there, I called the office and was told he would not arrive until at least 5 pm-which is when my sons class starts.
      I called again to reschedule for the next day and spoke to Paula in Charlotte, NC. She was the only person at Safelite who cared in the least about this train wreck of an operation and spoke to me like a customer. She also let me know that the tech would not need keys since it was back glass. No one ever mentioned that previously.
      My son called me at 3:30 and said the tech arrived after all, but the work order had been canceled and he couldn’t do the job. His car has been sitting with a completely broken out back window with a tarp over it since Sunday afternoon in a college parking garage in Norfolk, VA, it is now Tuesday night. Completely unacceptable.
      I am 4 hours away from him, his car and his school. I hope none of your employees or their children are ever treated with such lack of respect and caring.

      If I could give this company a ZERO rating I would. I never do reviews, but this company is just plain horrible. They take advantage that they work with insurance companies. Back in November 2022 I submitted a claim for a chip very small size of a snow pea I would describe it. When the technician came out, he wouldn't let me move my car in the garage, he worked on it when it was drizzling, He made my chip worse and added 3 cracks to my windshield. Which I didn't have before. Just last week the whole windshield broke. I am extremely disappointed and upset. I am NEVER using Safelite again. I've also called and emailed, and no one gets back to me. I just got hung up on by an agent. Believe me that I will replace my windshield with a local company, and they charge me $450 for a new one and to recalibrate it, whereas Safelite is going to charge me $999.00.
      DO NOT USE THEM. You have the option to use who you want with insurance!!!
      Do not reply with your generic "Hello, we are sorry to hear this and would like to help further, please call us." They won't do anything.

      Our insurance company scheduled service on Tuesday afternoon for us in the store -**** * ******** *** ********* ** *****. And due to some issues, they didn’t see the work orders and they want us to come back the next day. And On Wednesday, we came at 8 in the morning waited for 1 hour and they told us they forgot to order the glass mold. Ok, then we reschedule for Friday and wait over 1 hr, and they said they order the wrong parts or something. Safelite is a big company across the country, and you are not professional in telling customers to come back and forth because you always forget or order something wrong. If you get the wrong thing or forgot to order something then at least let us know then we don’t have to waste our time dropping off our car in the store and waiting for a few hours and being told you can’t get the work done. Ridiculous.

      So extremely disappointed in the service I have received from Safelite Auto Glass. I brought my car in due to a cracked passenger window from a bad storm we had. The window was fixed in less than 30 minutes...that's either a really good or really bad sign. The guy told me the window had to set, so I drove my car home (40 minutes away mind you). Upon driving home I noticed a huge distortion in the glass. It looked extremely magnified and distorted. We called the phone number listed and went in circles just to get in touch with the actual shop. We finally got in contact with them and they asked us to bring it back in. My husband took my car in to have the window looked at the next day at which the employee agreed that the window was distorted and that they would have to order us a new one.....but it would take a week. Okay, so fast forward a week they send someone to my home to fix the window. My husband notices that it is rolling up super slow, but the employee tells him not to worry that it just needs to break in.
      Fast forward to this last Thursday, we go to roll the window down and its stuck. The motor continues to pull the window back open as we close it. We called to complain once again at which they said they would send someone out. Today the employee was supposed to come to our home to fix it between 2pm-4pm. At 2:38pm I get a text stating that he will not be available until 3-5pm to fix it. Well at this point we already have another appointment to attend to at 5pm and he tells us he can't come today, that he will have to come tomorrow. We are absolutely so disappointed in the run around this company has given us. I understand we're humans and we make mistakes, but my gosh I really feel like it shouldn't take 5 visits to fix a window that should have been done the first time right.
