      Horrible customer service phone system.
      Had Safelite install new windshield which is now leaking. This should be covered by the lifetime warranty but I am unable to get past the automated phone system.
      Will NEVER use Safelite if given the choice!!!

      My insurance recommended for driver's window repair.
      1st Day: Safelite says regulator damaged, needs replaced. They don't do that but also weren't clear about my options. I, not having a car, asked if I could ship it, their tech never called me back. I called their front desk all day, spoke to 2 techs who said would call back. No one did anything with my car all day because it just said "needs regulator" on the work order and they never even said they could order one. Ok cool. Also - whoever did the crash wrap left it flappy and an empty roll in my car.
      2nd Day: Finally, I speak with their call center and get through, they tell me I have to bring them a regulator, the one they ordered won't arrive until 9 days later, first time I'm hearing this. So I bring one from O'Reilly. They have a tech look at it and says it's fine. They can't install it this day and schedule me for a dropoff the next day.
      3rd Day: Drop it off in the morning, no one does anything with it for a few hours until I ask. They send it back and a tech comes out to me and states that because it's an aftermarket regulator it will drain my battery eventually and won't work. WTF?! I have no idea what to do, tech starts naming places I can go and get an OEM part and I'm trying not to break down. The manager (****) comes over and gives me my key back and says sorry he thought he did everything right. I now have to go back to my insurance and cancel my policy because I cannot fathom for the life of me why they ever recommended this place. Their average rating is 1 star.
      This place was so hard to get ahold of and it actually cost me money, time, and sanity to deal with.

      Safelite owes us $5,000. We repaired their customers windshields and Safelite does not pay. They show it's a legitimate claim. They show it is approved. There is no one to call. They do not answer their e-mail. They do not send us a check. We have spent hours of staff time trying to collect. Safelite makes it impossible to talk to anyone. There is no accountability. It appears they hope you will give up. We are a small business and can't afford to do free work for Safelite.

      My back glass shattered 12/12/22. I called Safelite, and they could not service it until 12/19, as they had to wait for the glass to come in. My appointment window was 12/19- from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. I cannot drive the car, and I stayed at home all day. 7:40 AM - texted me to make sure I remembered the appointment. No word by 2:30 PM - called - said I was on the schedule - tech would arrive by 5:00 PM. 4:30 PM - called back. FINALLY got a call back by the technician who told me I was taken off the schedule first thing in the morning. Why did they not call me Friday? Why did they not call me the morning of the appointment?? No one knows when they will get the glass, and no one seems to care either. So, I have a car that I have been unable to drive for over a week with the WORST customer service ever. It took FOREVER to finally reach a person, and when I did no one could tell me anything except they do not know why no one let me know and they have no idea when they will get the glass. I will do everything I can to NEVER use this service again. When I posted on Facebook, my complaint was DELETED, and it had the same content as I stated above. I need a car, and the week of Christmas makes it even more difficult to accomplish what I need to do. Communication, caring, and transparency are 3 critical elements to a good business that this company lacks - at least with this occurrence. I could not make up a scenario any better to illustrate what horrible customer service looks like. I would not leave one star if 0 was an option.

      I had an appointment at the Mechanicsburg, Pa location on 12/3 at 2pm. When I pulled up and got inside I spoke with a gentleman about the crack in my windshield. Upon him checking out the crack we went inside and discussed prices. When I informed him that due to the holidays I couldn’t afford the price he informed me that I should let it go until it’s almost time for my inspection. I had asked him why and he said “since it’s winter time and there will be snow that I could let a PennDot salt/plow truck go infront of me and claim the crack as their fault.” When he told me this I was shocked that an employee would say something like that.

      It took four tries to replace the windshield. The first time the wrong windshield was ordered. The second time the wrong windshield was again ordered. The shop supervisor apologized and discounted my bill by $250.
      Upon leaving this third time I discovered a razor blade, which is used for installation, was in an article of clothing. I discovered the blade as it scraped against my skin. The desk clerk and office manager had no answer The manager seemed amused and had an air of incredulity. His attitude was patronizing. Apparently not seeing the gravity of their mistake. I mentioned another person might have had a totally different response – legally. I asked if they would at least deduct the cost of the wipers to which the supervisor acquiesced. Again his attitude was less than congenial.
      Upon leaving the warnings “ACC and Brake Guard unavailable” came on. I had to call again to schedule an appointment to have the camera calibrated. After this fourth appointment I tried to explain my concern and annoyance. Being the multiple appointments, calibration confusion and razor blade issue. The front clerk struck a dismissive attitude stating, “Your camera is calibrated and now all of your systems work”. Never an apology for the entire fiasco completely of Safelite’s doing.
      Upon calling to schedule the initial windshield repair I was told the camera needed calibration. Upon arrival I was told it did not require calibration. Later I was told it did need need calibration. When picking the car up I was told it did not require calibration. After returning I was told by a tech it did need a calibration.
      I did attempt to contact Safelite on their 800 number. That proved futile.
      With the exception of the interaction of the shop early on I found incompetence, rudeness and an unapologetic attitude to reign at this Safelite location.

      The windshield and installation service I paid for was not as described and not delivered per the terms of the purchase agreement. The glass has several defects and the installation I paid for at the time and place agreed upon was not delivered. The terms of the contract we entered into were violated by Safelite. By Safelite proceeding with the installation of the defective glass and then informing me of the defects, I was resultantly charged for a faulty installation and a faulty windshield. If the warrantee replacement would have been completed on the same day I would have no claim for refund of the service because I would have received the service on the day and at the location for which I paid.
      Initially I was willing to work with the local Safelite rep by scheduling a replacement for the following day. They did not agree to that request. I then asked for a partial refund of the service charge as justified above. No type of refund was offered.
      Local Safelite rep was unwilling to address my concerns. Corporate Safelite office did not offer any kind of resolution. Beware, these guys charge you without your final approval first and you do not have a way to get your money back. Don't pay until you verify that you received what you paid for.

      I was willing to negotiate a fair reimbursement with Safelite at 8300 JEFFERSON ST NE ALBUQUERQUE, NM 87113 but other than free wipers, there was no effort to compensate for the problem. Defective windshield was installed during a mobile call. Replacement glass reported as not available currently and company offered first available appointment in 3ish weeks. Vehicle is scheduled to be used on a multi-state road trip so that's a no go. Here's my complaint: I paid for the convenient mobile install that fit perfect with my timeline knowing that I could get the glass installed at a shop for $100 less. This was a tradeoff I was willing to make - more money but less hassle and quicker. Well, now I overpaid for defective glass and lost any advantage of convenience and perfect fit with my timeline. But, all I am offered for their mistake is Safelite brand wiper blades? Um, my time is way more valuable than that. Tried calling Safelite Corp warrantee to work it out, but the option to actually speak with a corporate type about warrantees "is not taking messages at this time." So, bad on the local guy, but even worse on corporation. It's your name, Safelite Group, Inc., but yet you don't have any legitimate way to offer customer service as a corporation? I hope to hear from you, or certainly the local shop can call again with an actual offer. Am I being unreasonable?

      I have been contacted by a Safelite Corporate Rep and offered a fair resolution. This was not a total refund as that would not have been justified, and that is not what I was originally expecting. Thank you for the proactivity and resolution. Had the local franchise just been honest with me we could have reached a mutually beneficial compromise.

      Beyond absurd. Playing hide and go seek with a referral number. I sell insurance every single day and have yet to ****** referrals. My customers should not be convinced to do business with you when you did not earn there business in the first place.I do not care how great you are or how preferred you are or all that. I don't agree with you taking opportunities that are not yours.
