Getting an appointment on their computer system is like jumping through hoops with fire all around the edges. That and when you get through the price that they have quoted you is not to be found, but has increased by $40 for my 2011 ****** carmari. When that happens they direct you to their help center which is incapable of helping, but will let you write a message that I am sure no one in this company will read. Very disappointed with this hour long experience.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

1 starI had a confirmed appointment for Safelite auto glass in ************ to come to my residence and replace a windshield on 25 Oct 22 between 8 A.M. and 12 P.M. They confirmed the appointment by text and email and stated a technician would be in contact 30 minutes prior to arrival. At 11 A.M. I called just to be sure and spoke to *** at the office who told me *************************** was my technician and should be on the way but he'd call to make sure. *** could not get a hold of ***** and gave me his number, I called the number given and it was a lady in ******* ** not associated at all with Safelite. I tried numerous times to contact the local office again to no avail and I called Safelite's main number. The main office couldn't reach the office or the technician so I left my number to be called back. No call back until the technician contacted me from my driveway at 12:35 P.M. and asked if "We were still on" I told him we would've been on between 8 and 12 but we're not on anymore. He said that time wasn't written in stone and I said sometime in that 4 hour window was in stone and that I understood unforeseen things come up and a text, or call or email is the proper thing to do when you're going to be wasting someone's time. During that 1 hour and 35 minute wait I called other glass companies and found ********* Glass in ************ that would replace my windshield for less than half of Safeite's cost ($322.08 vs. $795) so I scheduled with them and canceled Safelite.Review fromLois T

I was quoted a windshield replace by my insurance for $360. The actual cost is $300 for part, $144 for labor, and the unknown added fees are $50 mobile fee coming to my house, $30 recycle disposal fee. I cancelled my appmnt immediately. Dont recommend this company.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

Called over a month ago to schedule a windshield replacement for my Tesla. The day of the appointment the manager called to tell me that they only had the after-market windshield which would be difficult to calibrate and could cause issues. So then another appointment was scheduled and when I showed up they did not have the windshield again. I received the card from who I assume is the manager who told me they would order the Tesla windshield. A week later they called me to schedule the appointment which was about two weeks out. I dropped off my car and received a call that evening that they did not have the windshield. They said they would try to overnight it, it did not arrive the next day so then they said it would be the following day. I am picking up my car now with its glass still broken after months of appointments and cancellations. Absolute mess.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

I scheduled a repair for a chipped windshield using the quoting process on the web site. The process was thorough asking me about the chip, number of chips and that I needed the technician to come to my home. I received a quote of ~$149. After the repair was done they then billed me an additional ~$10 for materials and another ~$20 for mobile service. The ~$30 in additional and hidden fees increased the total cost ~20%. I only found out of the additional fees after the tech had left and emailed the bill. They knew exactly what was required in the quoting process. I feel this is completely misleading and fraudulent business practice.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

These people are so unprofessional. I am so mad. First I was woken up. ( I work nightshift ) because this clown decided to come 2 hours before my scheduled time. My appointment was for 1:30 PM, he showed up at 11:30 AM and threatened my 82 year old MIL that if we didn't get the car here he had to go to ************. He scared my poor MIL half to death that she went running up the steps and woke me up. My appointment was from 01:30pm-4:30pm. How are you going to come 2 hours before the scheduled time and threaten that it's not going to get done because you have other places to go. Then he had the nerve to say well I called. Well so what? I had an appointment. I guess that don't mean anything to these people. Then when I called to complain, she acted like she just didn't care. Then they charged me twice for the same service. They didn't give me the discount that I clicked on. They didn't give me all the services that I clicked on. When I called to complain about that, I was hung up on twice. These people in Wilmington branch are the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLESafelite Auto Glass, Inc.

I genuinely think in this day and age you'll need someone to talk to. Everytime I call the number an automated receptionist answer and they keep referring you to an online account. We do live in an age where everything is done online, yes, but not everyone has a computer or a smart phone. Especially the elderly.I try to call and confirm an appointment and when I went they were unprepared to even have me that day. Whats the point in having a phone number for your business if you don't even have an option to speak to a live representative? That's basic business 101.I rather spend hours on a phone with **** or HP getting transferred all day than to get hung up by a robot with no other solution than to do everything online.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

Got my windshield replace and within 2 weeks I was cracked I called for a warranty replacement and was told it was due to impact damage the impact was so small I couldn't even see it until the windshield was cleaned size of a pin point. The ******************** they use is very weak needless to say I will not be using them ever again the tech told me that the glass they use is very weak and told me to use OEM because of this. I am frightened to return to the store. I feel that the two technicians at the store took threatening postures and intimidated me into not speaking about a problem that they caused. Specifically, on the day of the appointment, I showed up on time and dropped off my car, after I left, they called to say they had ordered a wrong replacement windshield so I had to return to pick up my car. Without first consulting with me, they made another appointment for a later date. But just like everyone else, I work. When I returned to pick up my car, I wanted to address this issue. I might still be paying for the same service when they eventually get the right product to install, they have, in fact, cause me to take time off from other things, and that means there is loss of time and possibly financial implication on my end. So I said, I don't want to be in a situation where I come back for another appointment and I end up not getting the work done because either they don't have the product or have a wrong product. And while I was talking to the agent, two technicians came out from the back, stood next to the agent and they began to stare at me. They were not there to do anything else, just to stand there and stare at me. The indication was, that if I don't shut up, they were going to push me out of the store, or worse. I am a minority woman, and I think they thought that an aggressive stance would silence me. All the while, the agent did nothing. She ignored while I tried to address this issue. I of course felt intimidated and physically threatened. I've never had any experience going to any store/service. I think it is appropriate to voice concerns and complaints when they are warranted without feeling threatened. But that was not the case there. I did call their headquarters but all they did was to refer me to another branch in my area--but I don't think that addresses the fundamental concern with their corporate culture where it is okay to threaten clients.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

1 starThis review is for the SafeLite location located at ******************************************************************* visited the *********** location recently since they are sub-contracted by USAA. This shop immediately refused to service my Tacoma because it didnt have factory tires and had a slight lift. The receptionist scolded me, like a child, and told me to go back to my insurance company. After I asked to speak to a shop supervisor, he threatened me several times saying he was calling the police. I hadnt yelled, cursed, or used profanity towards this employee. This was a customer service issue that could now be resolved by the receptionist so he thought the best way was to threaten me with the police. Not sure if this was implicit bias or discrimination. I will never return to this location and think long and hard for other options if I need another windshield repair. Long story short, took my truck to ********************* and received great customer service and a perfect windshield. No thanks to SafeLite for incompetent and racist employees.
