1 starDO NOT I repeat do not give this company a minute of your time or a dime of your money, I scheduled on 8/22 to have my half broken windshield to be replaced 9/2 (fastest time) they call on 9/1 saying they need to reschedule and can't have it done until 9/20. Are you freaking kidding me 18 days later and a month with a half cracked windshield, absolutely *****% ridiculous they clearly had zero intentions replacing my windshield when that appointment was made and left me waiting around and driving an unsafe truck for 10 days with zero regards for safety. I contacted a lawyer for safety and we will reporting this to the BBB and anywhere else I can.Review fromDavid R

1 starI was very dissatisfied with the service I received from Safelite Auto Glass when they replaced my windshield last July. First when I came into the shop on my appointment day they didn't have all the parts they needed to replace my windshield and had to make another appointment to get the windshield replaced and wait another month.Second problem concerns my wiper blades on the van. They asked me if I wanted to replace my wiper blades after the replaced the windshield. I said no that I just had them replaced the month of May before that. A couple weeks ago the blades started to fall apart and I went into to my ***** dealer to get the rubber replaced. They told me that I couldn't do that because they had been replaced with an after market brand so they would have to replace the whole wiper assembly for $100. I went back to Safelite to address the problem and they denied that they put the blades on and would not make it right or reimburse me for the blades. I will never use Safelite again and highly recommend that no one else would do so and save yourself some headaches.Review fromCynthia B

1 starHorrible company!!! Had a warranty appointment scheduled to come to my residence for 2 weeks from the being of August 2022. The windshield cracked for apparent reason. Discovered after coming out of Dr.s Appointment. They came to my residences on 8/26/2022 from their office *************Their technical agent said it wasnt covered under warranty. ********** was previously fixed in *****, **** not even a year ago. I was quoted $444.78 for everything if it wasnt under warranty not to pay tech until after installing. Tech demands payment of $510. Then cuts price to $470.00 after calling office. Credit card given never charged!!!! I stop payment at this point. Tech didnt give me any paperwork or to sign anything. Went on line discovered 2 appointments under my name one at the office location, one at my residence. The windshield was replaced. I have tried repeatedly to get into touch with somebody to find out what is going on. No response or I have been hung up on 5 times. Went back on line to see if I could gather any more information to discovered that my warranty appointment had been canceled but my credit card info is on line !!!! So scary!!! Today is 8/31/2022 no response from anyone at Safelite!!!!! Now I am calling my insurance company!!!! What a scam!!!!Review fromNakeisha F

1 starI'm so DISAPPOINTED in my visit to Safelite today. From what I can tell my windshield replacement is just fine and this was my reason for coming. What I have an issue with is the technician broke my windshield wiper and didn't say anything. I couldn't call back up to the shop the same day because they closed at 6pm and I was finished at 5:50 pm. I discovered this on my ride home. I decided to use my wipers because a bird pooped on my windshield. To my surprise the left wiper was broken and flopping around. I know for a fact my wipers were both working when I arrived because it was raining. I'm ****** because the technician tried to be sneaky. I got a text message after I was already gone saying your windshield wiper is broken and you should get this fix ASAP. ?? This was c after I discovered it broken. My issue is what if it was raining hard when I left my life would be in danger because the technician was a coward and didn't want to own up to his mistake. Even if he made me aware he made a mistake I would have been mad but I would have replaced the wiper blades eventhough I don't have the extra money to do so. I want Safelite to replace my wiper blades because it's bigger then the broken wiper blade because my life could be in jeporady. If no one reaches out to me soon I'm filling a complaint on BBB. 1 starThis is the worse place EVER!!! Dont take your car here. Very unprofessional and childish! The manager ****** and his employees found it very humorous that my car was dropped off on 08/16 and on 08/25 it was still not ready!! I was told I need a regulator which was dropped on 08/19 I made a call on 08/19 to inquire on when this mcar would be ready. I called on 08/22 was told the windshield was broken on arrival. I called again on 08/25 spoke to ******************* who stated I would get my car when I get the glass out in but didnt have an estimated time of when that would be. After being left on hold I called corp who was closed. Called back and **************** answered the phone on speaker who proceeded to question why I said this office was unprofessional!!! After checking to see when my windshield would be in he told me my truck would be ready tomorrow after I made payment. Not a problem!!! But then the entire office in the background thought this was funny!!! I didnt see the humor in this matter and will be discussing this with Corporate. Totally unprofessional and ghetto!! 1 starNone of their phone numbers work and you cannot get a hold of a person!August 18: Would be nice if I could get a human instead of being offered a text with a link and then hung up on. I was driving and wanted to schedule an appointment over the phone not online!August 23: UPDATE 5 days later:I've tried 2 more times to get a hold of a person, Monday to update that I'm using insurance, today to confirm my appointment but there is no way to get through to a human at all now. Wth? I guess I'll sit home from noon to 5 and hope someone shows up. It doesn't look online like I'm scheduled, but I can't confirm it with anyone....How do you expect old/computer challenged people to get an appointment? There is no way my dad could do this and not everyone has the luxury of a smart phone or computer access.August 24: UPDATE 2 day 6:Finally got a chat representative. 1 starFor years we've spoken about how well Safelite has handled many situation, until 2 weeks ago. we attempted to have our windshield replaced by our local safelite. Once at the location we found out that they ordered the wrong glass. They told it could take up to 2 weeks or more to get the glass. We didn't like how our local safelite handled this so we opted to switch locations. Calling safelite we switched to a new location, but now we're told they do not have a record of this switch sending ** to ****************** instead of ************ ********. When we attempt to call to confirm the appointment, we're not given ANY real person and the system just disconnects us. To top it off ALL safelite social media sites have blocked us from contacting them. There's absolutely no way to contact these people other than driving to their location, which we're going to do to marrow. This is totally outrageous how safelite in general has handled this situation and our case. We've contact our insurance company making sure that safelite doesn't try to submit insurance fraud, because our rate went up without us knowing. AVOID ALL safelite locations as you'll never be able to actually speak with a real person. We're having to locate an alterative glass repair shop now..Review fromDavid T.

1 starI scheduled a windshield replacement twice in one week with this business. Both times I was sent away as defects were found with the replacement glass. Following the first appointment I was assured that a thorough inspection would take place prior to my rescheduled appointment to confirm there would not be a repeat negative event. The employee was adamant (cocky almost) that he checks every piece of glass each morning himself. Come my second visit, and an hour after leaving my vehicle I received a call saying that there was yet again a bad piece of glass. Despite costing me 3 hours of back and forth travel, the manager was unwilling to complete a house call with follow up calibration and said that I shouldn't worry about the next appt at they check every piece of glass each morning. This is either a lie or the management is not aware of the poor quality of work completed by their employees. 1 starMy insurance company recommended this company. I called them and they came out to look at windshield. After examining the windshield told me I needed to replace it. The agent continued to order a replacement and rescheduled an appointment a week out. The day before it was to be installed they called and cancelled it because they didnt have the windshield. 1 starI spent 20 + minutes trying to find a way to leave a review for Safelite through their own website and even the service emails and texts sent for my service but found they have not made it possible. This should be a red flag in itself. My windshield was cracked from road debris and I immediately called my insurance who is contracted with Safelite. I intended to have a full replacement but I was guided to repair since the damage was "smaller than a $1 ****." The technician was scheduled between 8-1 to come to the school where I teach on a workday to complete the repair. I had to stay all day since there is no way to contact the technician who, of course, arrived at exactly 1:00. He told me he'd be done in about 20 minutes and that it would be great! Less than 10 minutes later, he called my cell phone to say he was done, he was very pleased and thought I would be too. There was barely any noticeable difference to the spot. I mentioned that as well as asking if it would be able to pass inspection and if the spot was likely to spread. He said "uh, it might pass inspection" and assured me that his repair would prevent spreading. Within an hour, the crack had spread more than 2 inches, while it had not spread at all in the 2 days it was awaiting repair!I now have to take a half day off of work to have a full replacement (and pay $250). The service agent I spoke with to schedule said to just "try not to be distracted by the crack" and "don't worry, it's probably not going to cave in on you" when I expressed concerns about it continuing to grow while I wait for the replacement appointment. I find it very telling that they have made providing feedback impossible and very frustrating that they have delayed replacement by nearly a week with the joke of a "repair."
