  Been stuck living in here and hate it. When they first got the properties they never looked to see if anything needed to be fixed. Raised rent 2 times. And you as the resident have to fix everything and keep up everything. The house im in its poorly insulated, it has a hole you look outside of. Foundation inside is cracked. I can see my basement in the bathroom. The basement full of black mold i cant remove. Rat problem for 2 years now. They told us thats our problem to fix. They buy properties rent them and dont fix or help. They are slum lords. We had sewage back up 2 times and took forever to fix it. If im going to pay 1,000+ in rent it better worth it. And its not this house in the condition they let us rent it in should be worth 700 at the most. Garage door broke and so much more. They are not worth the time or money. They need to be shut down permanently

  I live with my granddaughters and daughter. My daughter has 6 and 1/2 years clean. I’ve never seen anyone fight so hard and come so far to put their lives right. We applied for a house. I live with them!!! I’m 63 and have impeccable record. We were refused because of my daughter. This is prejudice, this is wrong!!!! This company stinks of what’s wrong with this country! Now my grandchildren are out of another potential home!

  I moved into a Vinebrook rental home in July 2022. It has been nothing but problems! I had to leave my rental home 4days ago due to visible Toxic MOLD on the walls. It's making me lightheaded, horrible migraines, skin rash,etc. Even my dog has mold spores!!! Every time you call you get an answering service I called the day I had to leave my home with an urgent matter and nobody has yet to reach out to me. I have nowhere to go I cannot live in inhabitable conditions and vinebrook homes should know better! It is unacceptable I would never rent from

  We originally rented our home (3 years ago) from *** ****** ****** but after his passing, the company was apparently sold to Vinebrook and now we rent from them. Unfortunately. When we moved into our home, we had a front porch. It was falling apart and after multiple attempts to get them to fix it, they had someone come out to “repair it”. They fixed two boards and the rest continued to fall apart like I told them it would. They finally sent a contractor out to look at it and he told us it was garbage and needed replaced. Boards were breaking when they were walked on and it was rotting underneath. It was a genuine safety hazard. Today is 2/27/2023 and the last time I’ve heard from them about the porch was in 8/2022 after I had to ask for an update. We ended up taking care of it ourselves. I work from home with little kids and repeatedly told them that it was a safety hazard and they didn’t care. Also, our carpet is OLD. The condition of the carpet has worsened due to normal wear and tear. I submitted a service request for the carpet and the answer I got was just,“we don’t repair floors in rented units.” After going back and forth with no help whatsoever, I contacted *** ****** and asked them when the last time the carpet was replaced. She told me it was last replaced in 2000. TWENTY THREE YEARS AGO and that Vinebrook has that information. I reached out to them again reminding them that it is their responsibility to maintain a fit& habitable residence and they basically told me that if we didn’t like it, to move. I told them I would do it myself if they supplied the floor. Nothing. I proposed negotiations to our future lease to satisfy both parties and was blow off. How they think that a 23 year old carpet could be considered safe and habitable is beyond me. We don’t want to move but I also won’t live in a home where the rent continues to increase with nothing to show for it and from a company who thinks it’s ok to just not maintain their homes.

  I gave a $600 partial security deposit for a property. The following week my grandmother was ill out of state. I was due to pay remaining balance on 2/9. I was not able to do this being out of town and reached out to leasing agent. She told me house would be back on the market but i could explore options when I came back. On 2/13 I contacted her to inform I was back and seen that the house was still available. She told me unfortunately my money was forfeited and I would have to pay an additional $600 on top of the balance. This is horrible! I’m not asking for my money back, just put it towards the house that is still available! You ran my application and I was approved! I am willing to pay remainder balance but another $600 is crazy!! I guess I was suppose to let my family be with no one in an emergency! I hope this business never has emergencies with family! Oh and trying to speak with someone over a leasing agent is unheard of!!

  Moved out in August of 2022 now In February of 2023 I received an alert on my credit report stating an outstanding invoice from this scumbag of a company. They charged me for September rent, late fees, keys and court costs. The collection agency has an invoice that’s completely different from the one I requested from Vinebrook, however, the charges add up to be the same. This company is full of scammers, liars, and slumlords who only care about money all while thousands of people including myself were living in mold infested, holes in roof, rat infested and house in unlivable conditions all while vinebrook used scare tactics to make people pay their hard earned money to have a roof over their families head. We all need to put together a class action lawsuit because this is unethical and unacceptable!!!!

  First of all, It's very hard reaching someone from vinebrook, email this, email that just no contact. I did a scope of work for one of their properties & the guy I did the work for (ALLEN B******* didnt pay me, he was also trying to cut corners. He stop answering my calls, texts & emails, even had the nerve to say he would block my number. Some of these vinebrook contractors are in Milwaukee wi taking advantage of people and not paying for the work. This guy ALLEN B****** breached his own contract & nobody is caring. I just want what's owed to me !!!!!! I wish I could leave a 0 star!!!

  A company that keeps an attorney on hand so they can do things like not except your payments in office and have technical problems with online payments so that means you pay fifty dollar late fee and then lawyer fees until the next month it all starts again until you can afford your own attorney its so sad I am away fighting for my country when they started their games with me I actually had to come all the way to Missouri because of they on have answering service no live people to help you I am trying to make it through my lease.

  Terrible company, run by terrible people, its crazy how what they do isn’t criminal but it’s the world we live in they own everywhere like a monopoly adjusts prices and makes finding an affordable home impossible.

  I’ve been having furnace issues and with the weather being only 20+ degrees outside. Plus I have a 2 year grandchild who resides with me. I put work orders in and the maintenance workers haven’t fixed anything plus I have to wait an additional 3 days before a worker reaches out when it’s considered a emergency. You call the corporate office to get more detailed info on when a technician will be out and they can never tell you when but to go to their website and check and that gives you no information employees are rude there they hung up on and issues are never resolved but they always hassle you about the rent when they don’t fix anything. Please someone needs to fully investigate this company this is not right for the tenants.
