I think this company should be shut down. They kept my security deposit made up some fake my lease went until a month after my year was up. Tried to charge me for drip pans which I guess I will get my $25 back for as the stove was flat surface electric and didn’t even have drip pans but replied they could not give me my $744. As it was applied for the remainder of my year lease that started on 9/20 and they charged me rent until 10/19. I would avoid anyplace that is connected to this company. The house also had numerous updates throughout my year lease including a sink coming off the bathroom wall and windows from 1940 which made it freezing in the winter my curtains moved when the wind blowed that’s how bad the windows were and there weren’t storm windows for winter anyways.Vinebrook Homes Ohio, LLC

The worst rental company in the world!!! I can’t wait till my lease is over in March !!! The don’t pick up the phone , you make a maintenance request they don’t fix anything !! I don’t have hot water , no one has called said I will be out in 24 or 48 hours nothing !!! I made a request for my tub 6 months ago I’m still waiting on someone to come to fix the broken tiles !! Please do NOT rent from these people !! But they want they rent money every month lol ! I don’t know how they are still in business … smhVinebrook Homes Ohio, LLC

I would not recommend VINEBROOK homes to any one. Please keep your hard earned money from those slum landlords. They are money hungry and do not care about there tenants . I’m a past resident and had several issues with the apartment.
. I moved in the residence August 13th, 2020. I moved out the residence September 13th, 2022 . I tried to break my lease due to the mold but they advised me I would have to pay up to three months. I noticed black spots in each bedroom and in the closets in November 2021 . Around February 2022 I came into the office regarding the issues I was having regarding mold that was throughout the entire apartment, walls, windows and floor boards. Even on the outside of the apartment there are black spots on the bricks of the windows . The company didn’t nothing but come paint over some of the mold, which did not fix the issue. The apartment is a health hazard and is not livable. My 7 year old daughter was constantly getting sick and was having breathing issues due to the mold through out the home. The apartment has a funny smell to it. I was pregnant throughout the whole time of this issue twice and was having health issues as well and VINEBROOK did absolutely nothing and kept my deposit after I moved for PAINT AND CARPET CLEANING. i do not recommend VINEBROOK they are slum landlords.
Now that i have moved there is someone else already living in the apartment n less than 30 days so sad . SMH.
The previous person that lived there before me told me she broke her least due to the mold. This is a on going problem that VINEBROOK is not going to fix but keep renting out the apartment and getting people hard earned money . ??????Vinebrook Homes Ohio, LLC

Unfortunately, everything below my review is indeed true. I literally regret ever moving into this location. For the amount of money you pay in rent, you expect the type of service your money pays for. You can never speak to anyone on the phone. The call center tells you they are taking a message, but it’s all moot. No one ever returns calls. They also have a lack of communication within the organization. If you do talk to one person, they don’t add the information to your file or communicate with other stakeholders who need the information. Staff is obviously content with tarnishing the Vinebrook Homes name. Even the responses on this thread reads like a templates blurb that lacks empathy for the people who are keeping your investors happy. Locate investor information and inform them of the turnover and complaints. Then incorporate your local city as well as utilize escrow services.Vinebrook Homes Ohio, LLC

1 starBy far the WORST agency to rent from. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE SLUM LORDS !!!! They rush the move in process as if they are really aiming to help you and your family, to move you into a complete DISASTER! I have made multiple maintenance request my doors to my home not being secure, my house is being eaten by termites. This place is infested with Rodents they are eating the walls. There is a new crack in my walls every week one crack shows BLACK MOLD !!!! There is no one to talk to ever all you can do is submit request online or talk to an answering service ! This company recently bought up a bunch of houses in the KC area. Communication from them has been less than plesant. At first it was just emails informing about the change, which turned into emails demanding that we submit a new application for the house and sign a new lease and provide other documentation. The law does now allow them to do this, and they were quite unhappy when I threatened them with a lawyer. They apparently are hoping they have easy targets who don't know the law and will happily sign anything they give them. If your house has been bought by this company. DO NOT fill out a new application and do not give them any documentation. You are legally allowed to remain on your old lease until it expires. Worst rental company in the US!! They just wrongfully served me an eviction notice for failure to pay rent even though they took the money out of my bank account.. when I asked them about it all they had to say was “sorry” and just “ignore that” like they didn’t almost give me a heart attack. So I decided to test out this company's process and unfortunately, the claims are true. The agents don't return calls and they accept your application fee, deny you but you can't reach them for follow-up. Pretty sad and disgusting. The call center approach (24/7) is actually useless.. they just filter the calls. I left several messages for Mariah, who says that she is the Lead Leasing Agent, her mailbox is full.. she says to email her but only robotic, marketing responses. Shocking. But I have to give it to you, you've developed a great scam. Nice job! You all must feel amazing about yourselves for swindling app fees from ppl. smhVinebrook Homes Ohio, LLC

I don't think you really value my feedback at all because if you valued your customers or potential customers, you would have responded to the various communications that were sent. I have yet to get a response on my application. At this time I would like to request the fees for the application be returned since I was told that the leasing office would be in contact to discuss and provide an explanation. I don't accept your apology; at this point its meaningless and you do not understand how to conduct business. Feel I was racially profiled and denied on my application after paying all fees and providing every documents that was ask for only for them to ask for another document then find another reason not to approve me. 1 starVinebrook homes is terrible! You can never get in touch with the actual office in your city. You can only get in touch with the call center who only takes maintenance request. I can’t get in touch with my landlord. I haven't talked to him since May over the phone. I seen him in person in April. I’ve been having plumbing issues for months now. Fetus and things are coming up through my bath tub. My bathroom toilet is stopping up most days I can’t even use my bathroom or bathtub. My pipe downstairs is leaking over my dryer. I never had kitchen drawers because they are drilled in to not come out. My car has gotten stuck in my garage because it is off track. When it rains water comes in through the walls. Multiple maintenance guys has been out to my house and the problem is still not fixed. As of yesterday a professional company came but, my pipe in the basement is still leaking. In the meantime i’ll have mold in my basement because of all the water thats leaking down there. Don’t lease through this company. I live in St.Louis!
