      I only had Igs solar for 2 months and because I refused to let them automatically debt my account they have been charging me $7.50 a month foe billing fees. I called them on 5/22/23 and spoke to they customer service dept representative and all she kept said is we can automatically deduct it from your account and that would save you the $7.50. And told her I had other utilities bill send to me and they are not charging me a fee for one piece of paper. I told her received a email bill first so I don't need them to send a paper bill. Stupid representative just keep repeating herself. I added the 7.50 × 12=90 a year they are receiving. Now times that by 25 years that is $2250, tax free money to send a piece of paper. I file a report with the NYS Attorney General Office waiting to hear back now. This is robbery.

      Horribly and transparently poor sales tactics. Set up my account before disclosing any rates, now I'm trying to cancel; NO discernable savings. Lied about competitor rates.

      IGS shows your cancellation is being processed. You can also contract your utility to cancel the enrollment.

      I was approached by a man named ******* ********* in September 2022, who was an energy consultant with IGS at the time. He claimed that he was making a house call because we were former customers of IGS, which was completely false, and only did I find this out after calling Columbia Gas of Ohio to ask about my bill. **** assured me that they would lower, and eliminate the delivery charges that were a set fee every month. Once my bill switched over I saw that IGS locked me into a fixed $1.19 per ccf rate. Come to find out rates in my area were around $.31 per ccf. at that time. They scammed me into a contract with a cancelation fee that was 4x the rate I was paying previously and were still charging me the standard delivery fees as well. He signed me up through his iPad and quickly scrolled through the forms, not allowing me to see the fine print, while he was assuring me I was getting a great deal.

      This company scams elderly people into thinking they are lowering their rate, when in fact they are doubling their rate and add a 199.99 penalty for canceling. Never go,with this company for anything. They are fast talkers and try to,confuse you,on the facts.

      IGS Energy is the worst company we have ever dealt with. It purchased Columbia Gas in Virginia and has since hosed customers in Northern Virginia like us. Very poor customer service and extremely non cooperative company. They find any and every way to make money off you. Run away to any company but avoid IGS at all costs. Wish I could give ZERO rating.

      This company is a scam. It's that simple. A recent review of my latest electric bill from AEP shows that I am on a budget with both AEP AND mysteriously IGS. IGS is charging me a budget amount that is nearly equivalent to the AEP amount! This has been effectively doubling my electric bill every month. When I contacted AEP, they stated that if I wasn't with IGS, my bill would only be half of what I've been paying!!! These con-artist scumbags never contacted my about a budget plan and I was mislead that they are the provider/supplier/whatever. When I called their offices to cancel today, no on answered the phone! They state their offices are closed in the middle of a weekday! Makes mw wonder if they just closed up shop because they know how badly they've been ripping people off. I have filed a complaint with the PUCO, but I doubt they will do anything as they refuse to properly regulate these scam third-party utility providers. Probably being paid off by them. Say away from these scumbags!

      IGS energy increased my rate without sending me the required communication. I called on 1/26/23 to inquire about the increase and the rep, *******, advised that they sent me letters in Feb and Mar 2022. I requested she send me copies of the letters that were sent. I also cancelled my service this day because the rep spoke horribly to me and hung up on me. The copies of the letters were not received so I called back on 2/27/23 and spoke with ***** and he said he would send them via e-mail. They were not received yet so I called back on 3/9/23 and spoke with ******. Colton spoke with a supervisor that said they would e-mail me the copies of the letters. They were not received so I called back on 3/21/23 and spoke with ***. *** transferred me to ****** who said she would e-mail the letters to me. They were not received so I called back on 4/20/23 and spoke with *****. She put me on hold to speak with *******. Apparently my request is still in process and they are still locating the original documents. ******* said he'd send another request to ******* for an update and that ******* would call me back the next business day. I have not received a follow up call and I'm still waiting for copies of the letters that were allegedly sent to me in Feb and Mar 2022. I have confirmed multiple times that they have my correct mailing address and e-mail. This company has terrible business standards, terrible communication and terrible customer service.

      I have a very similar issue with IGS. I was visited at my home by one of their sales reps. After he explained that my gas supplier had been purchased by IGS he offered a fixed rate for me to lock into. I made the mistake of signing his IPad form with the understanding that a contract would be scanned to my email that day or the next so that I could review and cancel within a 72 hour period (I’m not certain on the time frame). I never received the contract. I have had a long phone call with the rep (who no longer works in the utilities division) and several emails. At first I would receive a reply stating that “ someone” would get back to me but that ended and now I am being ignored.
      All I was asking was for confirmation that since I never received a contract explaining the 3 year commitment and the penalty charge and any other surprises that I was not locked into their contract. Through emails and phone call I have tried to resolved this issue several times with absolutely no response
