We just bought this house in November. Unfortunately, I got this IGS solar contract from the previous homeowner. My husband and I still live in the same place but sometimes we went to fix this house that has IGS solar. We stay a couple of days, sometimes less than ten days. Here is the explanation of the bill for each month.
11/18 – 11/30/23, 85.44 kwh = $9.68
12/1 – 12/31/23, 244.57 kwh = $27.71
1/1 – 1/31/23, 243.983 = $55.35, stayed 13 days
2/1 – 2/28/23, 482 kwh = $55.15, stayed 2 days
3/1 – 3/31/23, 796.54 = $92.99, stayed 13 days
Our solar bills keep increasing more and more every month even though we went and stayed only two nights in February. I spoke to four IGS employees. The customer service said the charge depended on the number of solar being produced. The second customer told me that depends on the sun. The manager told me the more the kwh produced, the cheaper my electric bill is. My electric bill is steady all the time because we did not live there. The fourth person said he is not sure what is wrong and will ask someone to call back, but no one ever called back. He actually is the person who can answer it because customer service transferred me to speak with him. I feel so sorry to sign up for this IGS solar contract and still have 22 years to finish. They cheat on the number kwh. It looks like the bill will be more and more. Don’t ever sign up with this company. Scam, scam, scam.IGS Energy

In April of 2021 An Vision Solar/ IGS employee ***** ****** forged my signature on a contract by using a signature I gave them permission to provide me with a quote/ estimate to install a "Buy Back" electricity system. A month goes by after I approve to be given a quote. A Vision Solar crew showed up to my home while I and my wife was at work. They installed the system in one day. When I got home I confront the tech about the unauthorized installation. The tech shows me the signed contract with my digitalized signature all over it. I contract the agent and told him you or someone in our company placed my signature digitally without my authority , consent or permission on a contract to install a roof top solar system with a lease of 20 years. I have never seen or spoken to any IGS employee or agent ! The fraudulent contract were for solar installation and were extremely overpriced , 2X higher than other companies electric buy back program !!! Once I realized I was getting nowhere with the Vision Solar agent, I contacted IGS out about what taken place with Vision Solar. IGS costumer service started telling me that I did sign the contracts. I have copies of the fraudulent contacts to prove that the signatures were not my signatures . I’ve emailed the customer service with my proof , also called and spoke with other supervisors at IGS asking to be released, they "ALL" DECLINED MY REQUEST . AVOID Vision Solar/ IGS OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED!!!!IGS Energy

RUN. Run far away from this company. Signed up once before, was told there was NO ETF. Canceled due to the county supplying a lower rate. No issue. Guy from IGS kept stalking my house & my number. Very creepy. Fast forward to last summer, signed up from a door person. Was going over all information and was told yet again there was no ETF. Could not read the print due to a migraine so I feel he used me. Was told my bill would be lower & I would be saving money…come to find out my “locked in rate” was higher and I was spending more. Called to get all this handled and a sup tried telling me I was wrong and knew the info but in fact I did not. This company is an absolute joke & scam. Do not sign up with them!!! You will be made out to feel as if you are stupid like they made me feel.IGS Energy

Sorry to hear you feel IGS Energy is bad! IGS does send all contract terms out within 24 hours of enrollment. This allows customer 7 days to cancel without an termination fee. Is there anything we can do to help? Let us know at [email protected].Ciara H.

Said terms were not sent and received by me. Said terms were not opened by me. My email has been messed up and emails keep getting deleted with the updates. Not my fault, it’s apple’s and I’ve been in contact with them to help fix the issue. Because it is affecting my job as well. So to have your rep & supervisor tell me I’m lying, absolutely disgusting. If I was in the wrong I would not be reaching out or if I knew then I wouldn’t be reaching out.
Yes you have the timeframe to cancel which should not be held against anyone who cancels within that timeframe for future use. Then to try and get them to rejoin to be the only option to waive the fee. The first time I joined I cancelled due to a rep from your company basically stalking me at my sons games and my home. I did not want to be associated with that. As well as a group rate within the county offered a better option. The rate I was locked into was HIGHER than AES. And all other companies, they do not have an ETF. I cancelled within the timeframe the first time so why is that being held against me now? Absolutely absurd. 1 starI was told that I would be in a fixed rate and my usage would only be billed through them now. But I get my bill and I am being billed for usage from 2 parties on the same amount of usage. I go to cancel my account and am charged $199 for cancelation.
Do not sign any contract with this company.

In August of 2022 An IGS employee ***** ****** forged my husband’s signature on 3 contracts - gas electric and home warranty without my husband’s authority , consent or permission. My husband has never seen or spoken to any IGS employee or agent !
The fraudulent contracts were for 3 years - and were extremely overpriced , 2X higher than other companies for both electric and gas and included early termination fees of $200 !!!
Once I found out about what had happened I contacted the IGS costumer service and they were telling me that my husband did sign the contracts.
I have copies of the fraudulent contacts to prove that the signatures were not my husband’s signatures .
I’ve emailed the customer service , also called and spoke with the supervisor at the IGS asking to be refunded what I ‘be overpaid $$ because I had contracts with other companies for half what the IGS was charging me and they DECLINED MY REQUEST . I overpaid $250 because the scammers working for the IGS canceled my existing contracts with other supplier and I was paying exactly half what the IGS was offering.

Very much a scam. I signed up during the summer for a fixed rate and was told I would save money as the variable rates increased in the winter. I have paid more than I ever have for gas over the past two years at the variable rate. When I called to cancel, they charged me another $200 to cancel. Be wise. Do not sign up with IGS.IGS Energy

My last months bill was$600.00, It has been warm weather and I have baseboard electric heat which is individually controlled at each heater and some of the rooms in my house weren"t turned on for the last few months because of it not being so cold. The house is fully insulated and past bills with Duke Energy in the winter were never this high. I wish i would have never switched from from Duke to IGS Energy. I don't know how you people sleep at night! I'll be talking with PUCO and whoever else till something is done about this!IGS Energy

On my January bill I was charged an outrageous charge for my gas even though I still had a contract with them. I then stopped my contract over 2 months ago and am still being charged by them over .40 cents per therm than my neighbors are charged by my local gas company. I dont know how a company can charge such an outragous price and why it takes so long after my contract is stopped for them to continue to charge me. Never knew once a contract is done that you can still get billed by them.IGS Energy

Please contract out call center at 1-800-280-4474 to review the cancellation time line. IGS will send a cancellation request within 24 hours of the request to your utility company. The utility can take one to two billing cycles to remove or change a supplier.Rita A.

I called IGS on Jan 20, 2023 and was told the price per therm charged is .99 but on my bill it is $1.29 per therm. This does not make any sense. I have called several times in Jan and Feb and the price continues to go down but my price is still $1.29. What am I missing.Review fromTerry M

I had signed up with Dominion Energy for a discounted fixed price natural gas plan. I did not know that IGS took over the contract and cannot find any record of any communications from them. My bills are on autopay and I just noticed that they have been charging me $1.299 per therm since they took over my contract that was at like $.76 per therm. Even the Washington Gas rate is only .89 per therm. How can they get away with charging 50% more and no notification. I confirmed they had my email address but they said I was not signed up for email notifications from them. That did not transfer over from Dominion so I have been paying the 50% higher rate for Gas for the last 6 months. Of course now that I noticed and complained, they have offered a fixed rate of $.79 per therm. Why aren't they regulated? Why doesn't Washington Gas let you know that they are cheaper? How can they get away with this robbery?IGS Energy
