      Not Good company, because we were given information at the time of signing for program that was not true. such that we could leave at anytime with no penalty fee which was not true it is $99.00 dollars. They give us a rate that didn't match the bill rate it was higher. T.his is my opinion and belief only

      I just had a rep come to my door this weekend to convince me to sign up for the state solar energy program they run and I would save 10% on my bill. After reading ALL of these terrible reviews, I'm confused how the BBB has not done anything about this deceitful business??????? Clearly they're still going door to door soliciting their unethical practices.

      An absolute scam of a company. They should not be in business. Do not, under any, circumstances, consider them if you want solar. My roof began leaking underneath their panels and they would not fix it or offer to reimburse me for the cost of repair. They also refused to allow me to get out of my PPA until it ends in 2042. Stay far far away from IGS

      Upon losing my deceased husband's income I looked for ways to lower my monthiy costs. My church sent out an email for a utility company that offered a fixed rate of .004 KWH locked in until 2024 versus the .011 KWH IGS Energy was currently giving me. Upon requesting this new company's services they informed me that I was not accepted because I was in an unincomporated city (which I am not as I live in Fairborn, but that is another problem). The switch never happened and yet IGS Energy which I had been with for many years treated me as a NEW customer and charged a $199 charge for breach of contract plus even increased my Home Warrenty costs, I have refused to pay this cancellation fee but IGS Energy continues to charge this each month on their delivery/service fee. I have since dropped them completely but continue to get charged this fee on my AES bill each month which causes a deficit in payment to them from IGS supplier. I pay the actual electric services provided minus the cancellation fee. I am asking if this will interfere with my Credit Rating if I continue to not pay.

      I went from a 3 year Dominion Energy fixed rate of $.3690 per thermal unit a one month variable rate of $1.29 under the new ownership of IGS energy. IGS says they informed me of the impending change by mail on November 9, 2022, but I received no notice from them. This is an increase of over 300% in one month. So, is this price gouging? It seems to be. On the phone, they told me that I could sign up for o 12 month rate of $.7990, $.50 less than their variable rate for January.
      If I could give them zero stars I would. It’s an ethically challenged company.

      I had IGS Home Warranty for over a year. The salesman made the warranty sound good but it is a scam. "Will it cover my appliances?" Yes, it covers everything he says... however the fine print will say such specific types of appliances that are being phased out and discontinued that more than likely there will be some way to tell you it isn't covered when it needs service.
      Full report of my first service request if you feel like reading it:
      I made a service request for my sewer line which was backing up and covered under the 'internal sewer lines' section of my contract. A plumber came in, looked at it and said it looked like an HVAC problem and gave me a card for an HVAC repair technician. I called and had HVAC come look and they questioned why on Earth I'd have HVAC look at a sewer line. I agreed with them and thought this whole warranty he said/ she said nonsense is frustrating but I'm just following through. IGS called to follow up and ask if my problem was resolved, I said nothing has been done, they told me their report showed it was not a plumbing issue and the matter was resolved. I'm so happy you see the matter as resolved when I'm still here physically watching my sewer line leaking in my basement.
      Don't buy home warranty through them. The statistixs are in your favor where the money you save by not paying them will be more than enough to either buy new appliances or fix things yourself when they need fixed.
      I will not be looking at the review comment IGS will probably leave asking how they can help. Just cut all ties with them and live peacefully.

      A sales person from IGS calls me in December and tells me my "previous" supplier was bought out by IGS and I am paying higher rates than necessary and if I signed a new agreement I could be locked in at a lower price. Not wanting to be paying higher rates and believing that my former supplier was purchased by IGS I agreed and signed up without checking. Today I find out it was all a lie my former supplier AEP contacted me and asked why I had changed. I cannot believe I fell for this lie but it was at a vulnerable time that they got me. So now I am locked in at a higher rate than ever and would have to pay $99 to get out of it because I fell for the lie by the IGS salesman. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS AS I HAVE! IGS are crooks and liars.

      Do not let anyone from this company sign you up! Rates for electric are double of what others are offering and they have a termination fee that they don't tell you about until you try to terminate. You don't receive paperwork. I have had almost triple electric bill! They don't care about the consumer at all! After the first bill I received I thought MAYBE I overreacted but getting the second bill and calling I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. Terrible that a company that claims to be "green" and better for consumers just rips people off! They don't even deserve the one star I HAD to put.

      Same thing here. IGS bought out Dominion Energy and in the transfer of my FIXED RATE contract with Dominion switched it to a variable rate contract which increased my bills by 100%.
      They claim they notified me about the switch to a variable rate but they didn’t.
      They claim the contact information for me was not properly transferred so they only had my home address, no home number, cell number or email address.
      I received no letter to this effect.
