A few weeks ago I visited the store in Cincinnati to purchase a mattress and box spring for my guest bedroom. I already had a frame. The salesman showed me a few mattresses and I selected one. The firmness was an issue and I stated I believed the box spring would take care of that. I asked to see it but he said they weren't on display and would only ship from the warehouse. I again commented that I hoped it would provide the "cushiness" I desired. He said nothing.
When the products arrived a couple days later, the box spring was not that at all. Instead, it was a "foundation" - in other words, a stiff metal frame. I called the store and spoke with the salesman but when he learned I was calling about a problem, he said he was with a customer and would call me back. He never did. The following Saturday, I went to the store and waited 45 minutes to speak to a manager. She said at their store a foundation and a box spring were the same thing. She took my information and forwarded it to someone who could make a decision. No one called me back.
I waited a few more days and called her again. She promised to look into it again and call me back. She never did. I called again today and spoke to her. She checked her records and told me they didn't give refunds and the only thing they would do was exchange the foundation for another one.
A foundation is not a box spring. This was deceptive selling. The foundation is useless to me and the store takes no responsibility for their actions or to retain a customer.

Morris Furniture Co. has reviewed the customer's response. We apologize that you are not happy with your foundation and we have offered the customer a reselection to another item if they are not satisfied with the foundation. Many bedding manufacturers have moved away from the traditional box springs and have moved to foundations. Foundations/box springs offer a support frame under your mattress and help to prevent the mattress from sagging and when used with a metal or wood bed frame provide a comfortable height for sitting and sleeping.

I do not accept the response from Morris Home Furnishings, They avoid the fact that they sold me a product under false pretenses. I NEVER wanted a bed foundation! I wanted box springs because they provided better support and because aI already had a bed frame. The salesman knew what I wanted and sold me what I didn't want. Now they are willing to exchange one foundation for another! This is the ultimate in poor customer service. I do not want the foundation. I want a refund.

I bought a sectional in March 2022. It had an issue within a single month of use- the manufacturer placed a power cable directly in the way of a moving piece of a recliner, cutting the cord from normal use.
Our sales rep lied that the warranty didn’t cover electrical issues, so I tried to make a claim with ProtecAll, only to be informed half a year later that it should be done through the warranty.
By now, the remote for one recliner has failed, and the motor for another is sporadically failing. I schedule the warranty service to deal with all of these issues, and they determine all the parts that need replacing.
Then, framing for a recliner snaps so I make another claim. I find out that for the previous claim, the manufacturer requested photos, only I was never informed of this! I wait for the frame repair and have the tech take pictures for the parts order as well.
A month later and I still haven’t gotten an update, so I reach out again. They STILL needed photos, and NEVER reached out. Apparently, the tech never sent the photos.
The tech sends the photos and they place the order. I check in a month later and am told it will take up to 3 months to get the parts.
August 12th, 2023- Parts have arrived. Delivery is scheduled for the following Wednesday. When the truck gets here, they think it’s a service call and don’t have my parts, so I reach out to customer service. This rep says they’ll find out where the parts are and get back to me. A week later, they haven’t called me, so I reach out again. I speak to the same rep from a week prior. Now they magically know where the parts are and say they can schedule deliver, even though they failed to follow up again.
Even when things are finally fixed, this experience has been absolutely horrid. The nicest way I can describe the way Morris operates is malicious incompetence. I will never buy another piece of furniture from them and will encourage everyone I know to shop elsewhere as well.

I purchased a new queen bedroom suite for my son from them and had it delivered and when it was delivered the delivery guys scratched the side rail and when we said something to them they got very rude and left and we called corporate office “customer care “ and was told the delivery drivers did not scratch the bed that it came from the warehouse like that and we could go to Home Depot or some where and get putty the same color and fill it in. I should not have to have to do that or have damaged scratched dented furniture when I paid as much as I did for it. Their response was we will refund you for the side rail and you keep it and put putty on it but we will not deliver anything to your house again because our delivery guys felt threatened by my disabled husband when there was one of him and two delivery men just because he asked what they were doing scratching the bed with the box spring and that he wanted it fixed and their boss on the phone with a resolution before they left

I purchased a couch a love seat coffee table 2 end tables a dinette set w 4 chairs and a bar cart in September and after multiple deliveries due to damaged items and Morris actually made a delivery of my furniture to a wrong address. I finally received all my items. I was told by the sales guy that he would compensate me for the inconveniences. After several calls and texts no response from sales guy so I had to go to Morris Ashley and the sales guy reimbursed me partially what we agreed to. Now I've had to contact Morris about my leather couch the head rest is faded in one spot where I rest my head and the cushion is wearing I spoke with Morris on 7/10/23. I was told the only thing that they were willing to do is replace the head rest. I asked for the supervisor and after being placed on hold for approximately 8 minutes. I was told the supervisor was busy helping other customers and the supervisor would reach out to me the next day. I'm not satisfied with Morris at all ...

I would like to tell corporate about an unpleasant experience I just had with the GM of the Polaris Store in Columbus Ohio… I recently had open heart surgery and I’m in the process of healing and haven’t started rehab until I can get cleared by my doctors… On 06.10 I was in the Polaris store and purchased a very expensive massage chair… after the purchase I received some very high hospital bills that I need to address first so I decided to cancel the chair… at the time of purchase I was given a foot massager as a complimentary gift… I emailed Cheryl B**** and asked her for assistance in canceling this order and I explained I will return the foot massager as soon as my doctors clear me to drive again… the GM at the Polaris store contacted me and told me he would not refund the $645 balance until I returned the foot massager… I explained that I can buy the same foot massager for $49 plus shipping on Amazon… I asked explained my health condition and assured him I will return the foot massager as soon as I can drive again… He continued lecturing me and started yelling at me insisting I would not get a refund until the foot massager was returned… I asked him for his name and he hung up on me… I them contacted Jeff W********, my sales person and he attempted to resolve the issue for me but had no luck… he is an example of professionalism that the GM could learn from… something happened because I now show a refund of $538.58 from Morris… so this means the GM must have charged me @$99 for the foot massager… I didn’t give him approval to do this and I do not want the foot massager… I want a full refund and I would like to make a formal complaint against this individual… if he can treat any customer like he treated me, he has no business in sales, especially knowing my health condition… I’m sure this is not the first time he has disrespected a Morris customer… no customer should ever have to put up with this type of treatment…

The delivery was set between 9am and 12pm. Received a text message at 12:45pm saying they will be there between 1pm and 3pm. I called Morris Furniture at 3:20pm when they still haven’t arrived, finally at 4pm the showed up to deliver my merchandise. It’s sad when you call and all you get is excuses but there no excuse when you pay up front and in full for what you want.. There’s never any compensation when it’s their fault just we’ll get there soon……

It I could give zero stars I would do so. I had furniture delivered and their delivery personnel ruined the furniture. I have send pictures and had been on the phone with their store managers (who dodge you), customer care (that do not answer the phone and you have to call the store to have them call), and the little chat box on the website (which informs you to call customer care after customer care said to use the chat box) just to get the furniture returned and to buy new. After the weeks process of FINALLY getting the money back for the furniture that they HAD IN THEIR POSSESSION for over a week I decided never to buy furniture from them again! I was then told on 5/16/2023 in person by customer care (on the phone) AND the store manager that I would be receiving the delivery fee back and it was handled before I left. I saw nothing on 5/18/2023 in my bank only to call the store AGAIN to hear from that SAME STORE MANAGER that it has NOT been approved and that once it was approved it would take between 10-14 days to show on my credit card. So apparently, I was lied to in person to get me to go away. Now I have to wait for this arbitrary date of approval to start the 10-14 days. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy from this company again and will ensure that everyone I know does not either. I have been to the store in person 3 times, called every other day, and spoke to customer care 3 times not including the chat box on the website that does nothing. My issues is STILL not resolved. I am a working mother of 3 and my time is valuable.

Morris Furniture has reviewed the customer's response. The customer purchased Rails, Footboard, Headboard, Nightstand, and Dresser on 4/8/23 in the amount of $2,130.96. The delivery of the Rails, Footboard, Headboard, and Dresser was completed on 4/21/23. On 5/2 a Return was entered for the Headboard, Rails, Footboard, and Dresser. The return was completed on 5/9/23. If I could give less I would. We bought a whole house full of furniture March of last year. In October the back of the reclining loveseat broke, we have been trying to get it fixed or replaced since. We either can't reach a person or they won't return our calls. We've made trips to the store trying to get this taken care of.

There's a reason they only provide a 1 year warranty. 3 years of light use and the fake leather on our 3-peice sectional is peeling almost everywhere, even after following manufacture cleaning instructions. The sectional already looks worse than my grandmother's 30 year old couch, which has survived kids and dogs. Even the 3rd party warranty we purchased with the couch will not cover the defect.

I was put on the banned from business list by Morris Home Furniture because they damaged a endtable, I requested some money compensation from the Dayton Mall store and cancelled my order and complained. No customer service as I had to stop in the Dayton Mall store several times.. They damaged a piece and it was the last one and they were making me wait 30 days for it. Justin and Aja told me to take my business elsewhere. I bought a coffee table from them and what am I supposed to do if I can’t do business with them.. This company should be sued to comply.. awful experience and non existent customer service. I’m banned because they failed to provide a service and I complained..
