Stay away from zales!!! I purchased a engagement ring for my fiance since shes going to be going on deployment and wanted to propose before she left. Next day the order was canceled due to a shipping problem. They stated it was not in stock and did not know when it would be in stock again but i could go to a store and have it specially ordered maybe. Upon asking for the problem To be escalated i was rudely dropped from the chat did not even bother. Worst experience ever

I purchased a Movado watch a few months in ago August 2022. The watch stopped working about two months ago. Upon noticing the watch not working, I took off the watch and began to inspect the watch to see if it could be a pulled knob or anything else that could be causing it to stop working. There wasn’t much to look for since the only mechanical part was the side crown. I did however see that there was a sticker on the back of the dial stating that the battery had to be replaced by 2022. I WAS SOLD A WATCH WITH AN EXPIRED BATTERY. Kay’s Jewelers first solution was to give me a discount on a new battery. That wasn’t happening because I am still making payments on a watch that shouldn’t have been sold at all! I escalated the issue and Kay’s phone representative, not the store where I purchased the watch from, agreed to change the battery for free. I agreed to that and went back to the store. When I arrived to the Kay’s store the following day to drop off the watch, I was told the watch would be shipped out and returned in about a month. I need the watch before than for my parent’s engagement party that I will be traveling out of town for. Also, IM STILL PAYING FOR THE WATCH THAT I PURCHASED A FEW MONTHS AGO WHICH SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN SOLD TO ME OR ANYONE IN THAT MATTER. I didn’t accept and that’s when the store manager came up with a horrible idea to exchange my watch for a watch that cost what I paid my original watch for. That didn’t make sense since I purchased my watch on sale and had an additional discount for purchasing it on my Kay’s Card. I didn’t agree with trading my watch for a watch that would be less of a watch the the original. I have filed another claim about this matter but have yet to hear from Kay’s Jewelers. What would be fair to the customer (me) would be replacing the batteryj in a timely manner or exchanging the watch for the same watch or a watch of equal value.

Picked a diamond for an engagement ring in beginning of March at Kay’s Jewelers at the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke, MA. . Paperwork for service to place diamond on a different band said ring ready end of March. It’s in May, no ring still. I better have them for my wedding date in July. After reading other reviews I’m nervous about the ring on many different levels. We paid $6,000.00 for the diamond and more for the band and matching wedding ring. I’m sick to my stomach. We go in, they give us an arbitrary date and it comes-no rings. I ordered his wedding band from ***. I know it’ll come and be what it says it is.

We have been shopping at Kay's for the past 14 years. We started having issues the past 1 to 2 years. When we needed work on my rings they would come back from the goldsmith in needing repair because of the errors of the goldsmith. Few examples are, received my ring back from the goldsmith and a diamond had fallen out. We sent it back and received it back with black residue underneath the diamond. Had to send it back again. I had my center diamond fall out once and sent it to the goldsmith to be put back in and it was returned with the diamond crooked. There have been many other issues but we are currently dealing with one issue since January 2023. I had purchase new enhancers January 14th 2023 for my wedding ring. We sent in the enhancers to be soldered to my wedding ring. We got it back and it was soldered incorrect. Sent it back again, we received it soldered incorrect again. During this second time they sized the enhancers to a 10 (I am a 6.5). With them sizing it to a 10 the back of the brand new enhancers are wire thin. We sent it back with the agreement they were going to fix how it was soldered and build up the enhancers. We got it back, the soldered was finally correct but they the back of my ring looks awful. The enhancers are still wire thin and my wedding band is wavy from them repeatedly removing the enhancers. I have not been able to wear my ring since January because of their errors. I contacted Kays claim center March 28, 2023 and have not gotten anywhere. We would NOT recommend Kays! I have this very expensive wedding ring that looks awful and they aren't fixing their mistakes. We will never buy another thing from them and we will be sharing our experience with everyone.

Kay Jewelry at the northshore mall Buyer beware! This location was beyond neglectful. They sold a ring they had on display but didnt even have it anymore and since i couldnt get a refund they had to custom make it. It took 8 months! to get a ring that didn't look like what they offered. And, the warrant and taxes are not included with the initial purchase. They charge you when you pick up and they dont tell you in advance. They took the joy out of buying a special jewelry. And the Manager is beyond rude! Do not recommend it, they are nice to you when you first walk in but after that you are on your own!

Went in to get gem on my ring fixed, done this before (different store) no problem. Problems started when our warranty had apparently disappeared. After looking for a minute, ***** told us we could get the repair done, no charge. Another asked if we wanted the ring replated too. We were told no charge so we said yes but we were more concerned about gem. Ring went for repairs. Few days workshop calls saying that they couldn't work on ring due to no warranty being attached. We call the store manager, said she would call service center. She never did. We had to go back into store to ask what was going on. Conversation felt as though they couldn't be bothered, we were told that manager 'spoke to service' (not from her own mouth) and they couldn't work on ring because they didn't do 'half services'. They can't replace gem because they would need to fix prongs to do so (all of which is under warranty they couldn't spend five minutes trying to help us find). *** said the gem was covered but refused to do repairs. We asked if they could send ring back with an uninstalled gem, got a 'eh' at best. We just asked for ring back, told we would get call next day with ***. They've had our ring for about 2.5 weeks at this point.Got call saying it would take 2-3 days to come in. 4 days went by - no call. Had to call to ask what was going on. Clerk who answered put me on hold for 6 minutes, said she would talk to manger who had been 'helping'. Came back, said ring was not coming until next week. No one called to tell us. Got more frustrating when we got a call on the way home that ring did come in and we could pick it up. Communication here is a joke. Then same manager tried to sell us a new warranty for our 'fustrations'. None of this would have happened if our warranty had been found in the first place!

zero stars in 10 months time my 3 stone anniversary ring has had to be sent in for repairs. I didn't know anything was wrong until I took it in for the cleaning and check for the lifetime protection plan. the 1st time was pretty uneventful. But this time OMG the store told me a prong was broken that was on Sunday 3/19/23 they said it should be back by 4/2/23 ok. so the online repair tracker doesn't update all it said was that it was sent. so I called to check on it. Tell me why the repairs were complete on 3/23/23 and it just shipped today 4/3/23 to come back??? Can't get anyone to answer that. so the store gave me customer service # and they said my ring was at the store, so I called the store and again she said no it's not here. So when I got upset and asked if anyone knew where the ---- my ring was. the manager laughed, yes laughed and said I promise we don't hold peoples jewelry hostage. So hopefully it comes back soon.

I wrote a review several months ago due to my watches taking over 5 months for repair and I think its only fair that I update. *****, the general manager was very reasonable and explained the situation that resulted in the delay.***** also took steps to make sure I was satisfied with the end result, which I am. And I will continue to do business with this store.

My husband bought my wedding ring from Kay jewelers in ********* ** at *****************, its a 10k White **** Diamond ring. I had seen posts about **** having fake jewelry or not being honest about the stones on a piece theyve sold so I took it to someone who makes jewelry and he said that my ring isnt even worth 200$ and all of the diamonds arent real like I had been told. I then took it back to Kay Jewelers and explained to them that I wasnt happy knowing I have a ring that was 3,000$ before it was put on sale and they didnt care and was absolutely rude and talked c*** about me the whole time for going to someone and having it checked and appraised! She took it behind the counter to a complete different *********************** when I had one sitting in front of me that she wouldnt use and she hollered for me 10 minutes after she went back and had me come watch her touch it to my ring and it was going off way before she touched it and was very rude about me not believing her when she said it was real and told me to go to someone else. I took it to 2 different places and one place told me they wouldnt even put it on the shelf and wouldnt even check it so I found another place and asked them to jewel test it and half of them came up as sapphire and not 100% diamond and said for some of them it is diamond and others are definitely not and the tester they used lit up pink way too many times for my liking and when I asked what they thought it was worth they said 200$ and nothing more as well as the first man I went to. I dont feel that I should have to keep a ring that isnt 100% real like we was told it was and Id at least like to get back what I have paid on it already considering it isnt 100% and isnt worth what theyve even asked for or what Ive paid on it already! I tried to get them to buy it back and they wouldnt and *** tried to return it way before now and they wouldnt let me. **** service is absolutely awful and I would like to return and get a refund
