1 starWell we were looking to buy a stove for the kitchen the gentleman that waited on us couldn't be any more ruder than what he was and I said this is free delivery correct he said no we can't deliver for a few days a week or something you could tell he did not want to wait on us he was like I said very rude and crude I went to Zanesville at at a store there and they delivered it that day free of charge so I thought well why I'm there let me look around and see what else I needed I ended up buying a living room suit and a bedroom suit for my spare bedroom very happy with the people that delivered that they were great I took each one of them 20 bucks even though they didn't want to take it I said no no take it you were well worth the people delivering and you did a wonderful job so for anybody that goes to Big Sandy's I caution you they don't tell the whole truth that guy wanted to charge us for delivery even though it states that they do free delivery I think that's a sad store I don't recommend anybody going there for nothing sooner or later they'll be out of Lancaster because there's so many complaints against them I just thought I'd share this so that people would know that store isn't what it's cracked up to be and the stuff that he wanted to sell us the stove was damaged you could see the den in it and I said I don't want that stuff he says that's all I got so I will never go there for nothing and I will encourage everybody I know to stay away from that store go down to Zanesville it's a better price everything from free transportation to bring your items to youReview fromvernon s

1 starBought a couch about 2 years ago. Bought the extended warranty. About 4 months ago my couch broke. Warranty only schedules Monday -Friday. So my wife took a day off of work, losing a day of pay, just for them to call and say they lost the parts in the warehouse. So I called to complain about the issue, and how irritated I was to have my wife miss work and lose pay for them to cancel anyways. So they scheduled for a Saturday 3 weeks in the future. The day before they texted they’ll be there to repair between 9am-1pm. Not too bad right? I called at 12:45 and asked where they were. The woman said, well technically there’s 15 min let. I said true, but we’ve been sitting around all day with no response or a heads up. She gets back in the phone saying he’s running late and will be here in 45min-1hr. I said this is bullshit but whatever. So then I get a brief call that I didn’t even have a second to answer the phone, I get a text saying they don’t have the parts to fix the couch and I’ll have to reschedule? I called customer service and asked if they were ******* kidding me. She said there’s nothing they can do except have a manager reach out on Monday. So i lose a half Saturday by just sitting around waiting for them to show up, just for them to text me they can’t make it and they’re very sorry. **** this company, I am getting my basement finished and will be needing to get a new sectional and other furniture, and will definitely not be going here. If I could give a -10 stars I would!Review fromLaTonya S

1 starThe worst customer service for getting an appliance repaired!!! I bought an upright freezer in May/2023. It stopped working on /1/16/24. I called Big Sandy 1/17/24. A technician came out on 1/23/24 and said condenser went bad and said they would order one. They called and said the part was in and they'd be here on 2/9/24. I called Big Sandy on 2/8/24 to see if they could give me a time when they were to arrive so I could work 1/2 of a day. I was told no, because they had no way of knowing when he could get to me. I took off work an entire day and he never showed. I called and was told i wasn't on the schedule and that the part never came in. They told me they'd call me back after they figured out the mix up and where my part was. I asked for a supervisor or someone in charge to call me back and never received a call. Today 2/13/24, I called to ask again about the part and was told the part was in and I needed to schedule an appointment. I asked, if the part was in, then why hasn't anyone called me to schedule an appt. I lost an entire freezer worth of food plus 2 days of work, will actually be 3 days once someone shows up, on a freezer that isn't even a year old and has an extended warranty.Review fromValerie c

1 starAtrocious experience. Bought an item in October and was told it would arrive within 7-10 days. It did not arrive until January 4 and had a broken part. Contacted Big Sandy and was told to send pictures of the broken part, which I did. Three times. Today I was told the manufacturer needs more pictures. I asked to just return the item for a refund and they refused by stating I had the item for 30 days! Contact manager, Katie, and she was horrible, rude, nasty and refused to entertain a return/refund. I will be contacting their Corporate office as well as my Attorney General's office. Worst customer service experience I have had. I will never go to another Big Sandy nor will I recommend it to anyone.Review fromJo W

1 starPurchased a $3,500 ** refrigerator on 12/28. On 12/30, prior to delivery I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. On 12/30, I was told by my sales rep that the refund was processed and it would take 6-10 days for the funds to hit my bank. On 1/5, I followed up to check on the status of my refund and was told it had been processed and the hold up was with my bank. On 1/20, still no refund and my bank confirmed that nothing was pending on their end. I visited the store and talked to the Operations Manager. She could see where the sale was voided but no refund was ever processed on their end. She processed the refund immediately and said the money would be back on the card in 6-10 days. Essentially, they stole $3,500 from me from 12/28 - 1/20. If I had not continued to monitor the situation and push to resolve the problem, they would still have my $3,500. Zero empathy from the Operations Manager, no offer to cover the interest expense from my credit card, a reluctant apology after I pushed the issue, and rude comments spoken from the front desk staff as we exited the building. I would encourage people to avoid Big Sandy Superstore at all costs if you value good customer service and your hard earned dollars.Review fromMichael D

1 starI ordered a very pricey gas stove. They normally come with natural gas fittings but I have propane so they converted the stove to propane at the warehouse. When it arrived, the delivery folks installed the stove and tested the burners. I noticed one burner had huge flames. I contacted my sales rep, who connected me with the service team. The service team was here 3 times, unable to repair it. It has now been 3 months and I'm told yet another part is going to have to be ordered. The service rep also told me that the problem was that the orifice (for natural gas) was not removed because it was stripped and the replacement orifice (lp) was inside the stove where they'd dropped it. He said this means the warehouse tech who was responsible for converting the stove knew they were sending me a very dangerous stove. It has now been nearly 3 months and I still cannot use my stove. The only helpful people here are the salesman who sold me the stove and the repairman who is here telling me that this is not the first time he's seen this happen.
UPDATE
Brandon and Burton have been amazing at helping me resolve an issue with the stove I purchased. The warehouse made an error on converting the stove to propane from natural gas (very dangerous) and the service man was unable to repair it (after 3 visits). They went out of their way to get the entire stove repaced.
