Cintas sales people showed up to my business unsolicited. They offered to resupply my bathroom products at a reasonable price. I signed what I thought was agreeing to the price of the products and weekly visits. After several months of ok, but not overly impressive service there were several times the Citntas employees showed up unannounced at off hours while I was there alone. It made me feel uncomfortable and the service wasn't really necessary as I was doing it without them before. I politely called to cancel my service, stating for no other reason than it was no longer needed. At first as I was told it would be paused incase I changed my mind. Then a manager named Nicole called and said I could not cancel because I signed an 84 month contract. I asked for alternatives and she said she would have someone reach out to me which never happened. I tried the main headquarters in Ohio with unreturned responses as well. After sending out a letter I did get a delayed response from Nicole offering for me to terminate for around $3000, despite me mentioning that I felt uncomfortable with Cintas service, she chose not to address that issue and encourage me to continue service. I find multiple aspects of all this somewhat predatory and I do not wish to continue service and feel like $3000 is an unreasonable resolution. I think Cintas should allow cancelation of unsatisfied service, and I feel as though they make getting the service super easy but getting out super difficult. I have my correspondence on this issue started weeks ago and I am now reaching out for other solutionsBusiness Response

**** *****I have not been contacted for a resolution other than by Nicole S**** which her 2 suggestions are pay $3000 or continue to use Cintas, I find neither of these acceptable. Considering I told her I did not feel comfortable with Cintas staff doing the service I find it inappropriate for her to suggest continuing service, therefore I did not feel the need to respond to her inquiry.

Payer # ********. Sales rep mentioned if we don't like it, we can cancel it at anytime. Rug and urinal fresher was installed Dec 2023. We paid $138.21 for December. No service was provided in January, bill came, why pay? No service in February, March, and April. However, their technician called March 18th, to reschedule the service appointment. I mentioned no service was provided in prior months, we don't want your service, cancel it. Cintas is a very dysfunctional service provider. Only use it for the first month in December 2023 and not heard from them until March 2024. Really? Very dysfunctional at best.
Your FILTHY rug and empty urinal refresher are still in the male bathroom, remove it please, pictures attached. Remove all charges for the services you DID NOT PROVIDE US, all 2024 charges. If you don't provide the service, you don't get paid.Business Response

We signed up with cintas specifically for towels for our restaurant. We wanted specific ones and were told that they weren't available from the local depot but they had them in another depot and would have them transferred in for us. My email complaints started after the first two months because we couldn't seem to actually get the towels on a regular basis. This continued for 3 years, the service tech never had towels and someone else had to drop them off whenever they could. After 3 years of having problems and me having to go buy towels multiple times after not receiving them I called cintas to complain/cancel. I was told by the area manager Ryan that the towels were not actually available. Since cintas can't fulfill the item I signed up for I obviously said I needed to cancel the service. 3 days later I received a call from a collection company on behalf of Cintas saying I owe them $6800 and have since been harassed and threatened by them for two weeks. I have called the company 5 times asking to speak to someone and nobody will speak to me or call me. Its unethical and morally wrong the way they are handing a situation caused by their own inability to provide what they said they would (and I paid for). This company is a bad company with bad practices.Business Response

I am writing to you once again as the owner of *** *** ******* * **** regarding the continuous and unresolved issues we have faced with Cintas Corporation's service and billing practices under our existing contract. Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues amicably, including formal notices of cancellation sent in May 2022 and again in March 2023, there has been no adequate response or adjustment from your side.
As explicitly stated in my previous communications, Cintas has persistently increased prices contrary to our agreement and my explicit requests to halt any further price hikes. Additionally, the quality of cleaning services provided has been substandard and not as per the contractual obligations. It is also concerning that our decision to cancel services has been ignored repeatedly, with charges still being imposed for services not rendered and Cintas representatives, including your drivers taking liberties such as signing invoices on our behalf without authorization.
This conduct is unacceptable and a clear breach of our contract terms. As such, I am demanding the immediate termination of our contract, removal of all Cintas equipment including paper towel, soap, and toilet paper dispensers from our property, and cessation of all billing activities henceforth.
Given the history of non-response to formal grievances, consider this letter a final appeal for Cintas to act appropriately and resolve this matter. Failure to comply with these demands will leave us no choice but to seek legal remedies to enforce our rights under the contract and for damages incurred due to Cintas's breaches.
Please confirm in writing within seven days from the receipt of this letter that the contract has been terminated, all disputed charges have been settled in full, and a schedule for the removal of your equipment from our premises. Your immediate attention to this matter is expected and appreciated.Business Response

I am the owner of ********* ******** ***, doing business as *********** *** **** **** ****. My service agreement with CINTAS ended in late November, early December 2023. I did not renew the agreement. Cintas continued to bill me passed this date, despite the discontinuance of service. They billed my company for $149,but never provided any service to my company.
They have repeatedly sent bills via USPS and multiple bills via email.
I have spoken to their customer service staff, as well as, Bruce D*****. Mr D***** is the identified person in charge of my account. All that I have spoken to have made notes to my account and said that it would be corrected. Mr D***** spoke with me personally, stating it would be corrected and stopped.
I have now received a bill dated 3/31/24.Business Response

I am on the Board for a Non Profit and the Cintas Fire Prevention is the part of Cintas we are doing business with. They sent us a Quote and we signed the agreement. We also asked if they did a credit account since we are a non profit, we like to pay monthly on our debt until we can secure grants to help us pay those debts in full. We filled this credit app back and were approved based on emails that I have seen. We have two more inspections to get approval for the kitchen we are putting in and needed Cintas to hook up the building kitchen hood and fire protection to the internet. We emailed Brian and Josh to get this scheduled and Josh replied back that we must pay all invoices in full before they will finish the job. Mind you we have a credit app on file and approved. I called the A/R dept. and talked to Carolyn which was very nice. and wanted to know the terms of the credit app and she said they have never done a credit app for any business and that it is net 10 or net 30. But we filled one out and sent it in. So this tells me that this is just a branch document and not a corporate document. Carolyn said she will contact the branch and have them call me. I received the call back and told Josh the complaint I had and why we weren't being serviced. He said that he needs to get paid the amount to come back out and finish the job. He said that the credit document was not a credit document but for ACH however I have the document and has nothing on there for a ACH. We said we could pay $200 a month until the debt is paid. Apparently they denied that but never told us what we could pay. However they accepted a $200 payment couple months ago. Acct 8635 *********** ********* ******. We are a non profit to help immigrants to find a welcoming home in ******* and this kitchen is there to help. I rather talk to someone in Corporate. I talked to Josh couple times and he will not help or admit these documents are wrong and deceitful. Please help us on this.Business Response

As the proprietor of **** ****** *** ****, I engaged in a service agreement for monthly provisions of toilet paper and mats. Assurances were provided by the sales representative regarding the flexibility to adjust or cancel the arrangement as needed. However, subsequent to the closure of my business, I attempted to amicably resolve the matter, particularly considering my ongoing engagement with the company for another location. Regrettably, instead of engaging in dialogue to find a mutually beneficial resolution, I was directed to the claims department, which promptly requested a substantial sum of $5,162.10. Notably, the monthly service fee amounted to a fraction of this sum, totaling $178. This turn of events, particularly given the assurances provided during the initial sales negotiations, represents a concerning departure from ethical business practices, especially for small businesses navigating closure.Business Response

We have been clients of Cintas for 4 years. They go through periods where no one delivers their products to our offices for months, yet I am still charged.
They refuse to cancel our service, I have been requesting this for over a year. They state that there is a renewal clause that auto-renews for 3 years, however, I asked for a cancellation well before the auto-renew period.
They admit to not fulfilling their duties and have refunded the months they have documentation of not coming to our office however, there is a 6-month period they did not come to our office and state they were. I have the records of the toilet paper, paper towels, and trashbags I had to purchase myself and my staff have not seen a delivery person.
All I want is our contract cancelled.Business Response

We began doing business with Cintas 10/12/23. Cintas committed to making sure we always had sanitizer, linens, soap, towels, mats, toilet paper, paper towels, air fresheners, dispensers for all soaps etc. The first week they delivered nothing. For the next few weeks the sales rep did not bring us nearly any of the items on our invoices. We ran out of soap and sanitizer and got in trouble with our local board of health because of it. They never delivered us any linens, brought the wrong items of what they did deliver. It took weeks to get keys to access our paper goods dispensers and once we had them we had little to no product to use in them. Our invoices list items we never received. They are trying to charge us $2155, when we estimate that we only got about $1000 worth of product. Invoices say a case was delivered, but only a few single items were brought. The sales reps were impossible to contact, customer service was useless to fix our issues. Multiple invoices are identical, when our weekly needs are never the same. Our service manager took 6 weeks to reach out about the problems. They are now threatening to take us to collections and will not listen when we explain they are charging us for items we never got. This business is predatory and promised ease of service. They did not hold up any part of their commitment. Even going as far as to charge us for chef coats we did not order and sent back immediately. No one will help us amend the invoices, and we should not be charged for items they failed to deliver.Business Response

When we receive the first call from this
customer about being short on soap and paper towels, we had an SSR drop off the
product they needed. When they called again about being out of SK1 dish soap,
the Service manager explained to them that they needed to increase the amount
they were getting and that is when they insisted on cancelling the service. We
did agree to credit the first invoice of $519 if they make the payment of the outstanding
amount. We will accept the $1000.00 that the customer claims is owed as payment
for services rendered. Thank you,
