      I was rear-ended by a driver insured by Progressive in January 2022. The repairs were severe and totaled close to $20,000. When completed, I explored the loss of value of my vehicle through market offers (from Carvana, Vroom, and Carmax) and hired a diminished value company to prepare their own findings. All of this came back to around a $17,000 loss in value due to the accident. Progressive gave me the runaround for months - they wouldn't respond to my calls, emails, or those of the diminished value company, until I finally received a call from Hamilton, who told me that he would offer me "an insulting value of $1000" to settle the claim. Hamilton said that a car doesn't lose value due to an accident, which is obviously false and disputed by all of the information presented. He also claimed that the market values that I provided did not reflect accurate market values. How else can market values be determined, if not by the market? When you search Google for tactics that insurance companies use to make diminished value claims go away, Progressive utilized not 1, not 2, but EVERY SINGLE BOGUS REASON listed - as if they are grasping at every straw possible to dismiss what is a very valid loss of value. I'm at a loss, because Progressive claims that I haven't provided anything to show a loss of value, when I have done exactly that. I just want to be made whole from the accident caused by their insured. Is it too much to ask to not suffer financially from an accident that was not my fault?

      I have auto insurance with Progressive for several years now. I got an email saying that I had to call them because they were going to add an adult who lives with me to my plan. I called and spoke with Linda, a very rude underwriter. Per the memo, Progressive wanted me to add "adults who have a license and regularly drive my vehicle". I informed Linda that the other adult did not regularly drive my vehicle and that he had his own vehicle, that he drove regularly, and he had his own insurance. I informed her that I planned to cancel my plan with Progressive because I disagreed with their policy. Linda proceeded to try to add him, without any acknowledgement of what I had said, and began to ask me for details about the other adult in my home. Since she ignored me, I responded by hanging up on her. Guess what?! hours later I got an email from Progressive adding the additional driver to my plan without my knowledge or consent? Seriously can they do that? I canceled my plan nonetheless, I could not do business with an insurance plan that is not trustworthy, not when there are so many other options.

      I had a miserable experience with their customer service over a disputed billing. Spoke to 3 different representatives, and all said they couldn't help, that they didn't know anything, that's just how they do things in NC, and one said I should use "google." I asked to be referred to their legal department so that I can explain their error, and the customer service representative, Chad ******* gave me a "customerhelp" email address, which is clearly not an attorney's email.
      In sum, they overcharged me (by 300%), and they hid behind the ignorance of their customer service representatives to deny me any remedy.

      Best customer service ever, they make you wait 1 hr to answer the phone and still hang you up . They do not matter if you have been a customer for a long tine

      If you are considering getting progressive DONT! This is by far the worst insurance I have EVER had! They raised our premiums without ANY notice. Claimed we had a not a fault accident that NEVER happened on a vehicle we NEVER owned! They have a cancel fee if you want to get rid of them once you find out they are full of crap. All they want is more and more money even if you try to leave. Do not do it unless you want to waste your money. If I could give 0 stars I would.

      Wish I could give you zero stars. Been with this company for a few years. Looked at my bill one day and someone named Tony was added. So my bill went from $90 to over $200. When i called them they said I have to prove "Tony" has a change of address. I told then I have never known this man they basically said you do. Prove he has insurance and we'll take him off your account. Wish they were BBB certified. But then again maybe there's a reason.

      One star is too many. I am a Progressive customer and was rear ended by another Progressive customer's 16 year old son on 9/10 waiting to turn into a gas station. I am still waiting for an estimate as of 9/26 (today). They keep trying to steer me to their shops and cannot answer any questions. Today I was told I live in Illinois and the adjuster is in Wisconsin so she has no access to check anything for me. If she is the adjuster on my case then she should have full access. I asked to speak to her supervisor, she told me she don't have the ability to transfer me. She can put in a request for them to call me in a day. So far i have caught Evilyn and her assistant Micheal in numerous lies to me. I am the victim with heavy damage to my vehicle and they are constantly playing games. I submitted photos online as requested and they rejected them. Wanting me to take it to a shop to be inspected because the tire . So it can be put on a lift. When i said the shop i choose don't have a lift they asked if i would take it elsewhere. I said no. I said they can come to my home to have it looked at. It don't need a lift. The owner at the body shop even told me that. I was told they would be here today when I called Evilyn said they would call to set up a time and date for the estimate... I said no you said they would be out today. Then she back tracked and said they would call 4 hours before they would come. And it may not be until tomorrow. After I got mad she went to her supervisor that she cannot transfer me to and they were looking into making sure it was submitted correctly. I have been waiting almost a month for an estimate. I still have no answers. Definitely leaving Progressive.

      We have been with progressive for 18+ but Have to give a one star with this experience.
      We hit a big rock on the highway. Randell ****** repair rep . argued with me; claimed I was off roading in my car, which I have never done . Randell told me “this was not an isolated incident”. Because my other wheels had scratches according to him. The auto shop they picked and Randell told me it the wheel just needs a balance . Randell quoted me the price I would have to pay for the balance. I took the car to Discount Tire since the balance is covered. Discount told me “the wheel is bend badly .”
      I call back to the rep Kiera Washington to update her and ask for a new repair rep. She said she could not and when I asked to speak to her supervisor she said “ I’m not dealing with you” and hung up on me ??

      After I was in a car accident that damaged the front driver side progressive decided to total my car. They sent it to a salvage yard where it received so much more damage when it was moved by a forklift. Progressive decides a month after the accident that they are not going to total my car after all. It was sent to a collision repair shop and when it was ready for pick and I inspected it I noticed the holes under my car. NOT ONE Progressive person assigned to my case mentioned the additional damage when it was definitely noticeable. Can’t believe any company could be so dishonest and deceitful.
