The unprofessionalism of customer service within this company was bad at so many levels it would take forever to explain. When you dial in you are transferred a number of times to a representative and each time you have to repeat the ongoing issue to each person. I have been put on hold and then hung up on and put on hold after waiting for a number of minutes and then their line cut off exactly when it is closing time at Progressive. You have to drag their name out of them because they don’t want to give it to you.
The reason that I want to resolve the issues is because Progressive has you fill out forms to get discounts every period. They don’t send you the forms as you have to request them. If you don’t fill out the forms and turn them in then your policy automatically jumps up to unlimited coverage which puts your rate through the roof. I was told that the reason why is because it was the law, which is not true. No matter how many times you fill out the forms and send them in, you get a bill in the mail that far exceeds the original quote so you have to start the whole process over again and for some reason they never get the forms needed to adjust your rate so you end sending the forms a numerous amount of times (and they never seem to get them) and you end up having to pay the unlimited coverage because they continue this cycle over and over again until you are forced to pay the skyrocketed bill because you have now surpassed the policy period to get the initial discount.
I have been lied to and defrauded by this company. I would gladly hire a lawyer and sue this company as I have taken very good notes about this very frustrating experience with them. I am on disability, which I mentioned to them more than once and I feel that Progressive has violated my civil rights.

Progressive has shady practices and they have charged me $50 and couldn’t give me a reason other than cost of doing business with us and my insurance went from 130 to 188 with no change to my policy I will not do business with them, and their shady practices be warned that they will charge you more and more and not give you adequate reasons to why I don’t care about you or what your going through. Unbelievable company will not recommend to anyone.

I had auto insurance with Progressive for a 6-month period of 1/17/2022-7/17/2022 with PIP Medical Coverage Exclusion. All the required documents were submitted and accepted at the beginning of the coverage period.

On 5/9/22, I requested to have all 2 vehicles put in storage (comprehensive coverage only) and to restore to the previous coverage back on 5/27/22. When Progressive restored my coverage, they removed the PIP Exclusion. I sent in 3 sets of PIP Exclusion request forms to have it restored. Progressive denied my PIP exclusion twice based on all kinds of excuses, for example, Progressive Insurance invalidated my request simply because I put initials on where they instructed/typed “initial”. Progressive restored my PIP Exclusion on a much later date on 7/11/2022, overcharged my premium.

Complete False Advertising! I was a "Platinum level" customer and ran into some bad luck for the first time after 3 years of having Progressive insurance. First, I had an accident that I was found at no fault for. Then, I let my teenage son drive to the community center less than a mile from our home, and as he was pulling into the parking lot, he scraped the car parked next to us. I did the right thing and left a note with my contact and insurance information. Progressive increased my premiums to a ridiculous amount that there is no way for me to be able to afford. They drew me in with their promises of "small accident forgiveness" and "teen driver discount" and never delivered when I needed those things. I could discourage anyone from doing business with this fraudulent company.

I switched to progressive from another company because their rates were significantly lower. We signed up both my husband and myself for home & auto insurance at the same time. At the same time of sign up, HIS license was expired. I gave the agents both of our license numbers. Across my entire state, there are major delays on getting into the DMV to renew a license - our wait is at 6 months. So, we started coverage about 3/4 months ago with both of us on the policy and they are now trying to cancel my policy because of his expired license. I called to find out why our auto insurance was being cancelled and they told me that "Texas state law requires that anyone over the age of 15, living in the same household has to be on the same insurance". Progressive also told me that "due to Texas law, since we are married and living together and he has an expired license that I cannot be covered and that I have to pay out the remaining of my premium and get a new policy." Apparently when they looked up my drivers license, they missed checking his somehow???. I called TDI and they told me that it's NOT a state law, that it's something dealing with their underwriting department. I called progressive back, asked for the penal code, they couldn't give it to me, and they ended up excluding him from the policy so that I could keep auto insurance. This was after being transferred to 5 different customer service agents. For auto liability, I only wanted a better insurance rate - not a headache. 2 stars only for the low cost of liability, 0 stars for the customer service agents trying to scam me out of $350 because they aren't educated on Texas car insurance laws.

I had a terrible experience with Progressive. THEY ADDED multiple people to my insurance without my permission and charged me an additional 430 dollars.

Customer service was terrible when it came to the underwriters who I was on hold with for 2 hours before they said we can do that and there is nothing you can do about it.

I recently switched to progressive with a payment plan of 107 monthly. They tried to add my adult daughter who lives mostly at college and has her own insurance and I stopped that. My 21 year old son was home for a few months, he lives in Chicago and uses the bus system. They added him to my policy automatically and auto withdrew my account for $450. Refused to reverse the payment or credit my account. At that time my son was already out of the country studying abroad. I told them that can’t be legal. They said I would have to talk with there legal team. I asked to speak with them. They said they are not available to customers. Just wanted to let others know they do business this way.

I filed a claim with ASI homeowners' insurance for roof damage. They sent an "inspector" from Seek-Now that was formerly "Ladder-Now" to inspect my roof. This "inspector" said I had minimal damage that my home owners policy would cover. I had water leaks inside my house and adjoining shed. There had been snow storms with heavy hail in my area the previous year. I do not know how companies like these stay in business. The reviews I have read are horrible. The reviews of this "Seek-Now" company are horrible. ASI according to these reviews has a reputation for sending inspectors that can find no damage. This is shameful. They are causing people to lose their homes. The insurance "claims adjuster" that processed my claim will not tell me what state she is licensed in but I have looked up everyone else involved. Right now I am just deciding what action to take and with whom. There has to be a way to make people accountable.

A week after a my collision I am still without a rental car and my car has not been picked up to get repairs. I am in jeopardy of losing my job and no one has given any updates on the process after repeatedly reaching out.

55% premium increase in three years without a single claim.
By the time I switched the insurance, they charge me $206 for termination fee.
      Unethical business !
