I lived at one of their properties in Cary, North Carolina. I would give zero stars if I could. They take advantage of you in your "utilities" where they throw random fees at you left and right, totaling around $250 ON TOP of your rent. This is a blatant scam, as the apartment I moved into after had only $50 of additional fees a month. Additionally, my complex had some sort of bundle deal with spectrum which raised my spectrum monthly cost from $70 to $130, and I was told I could not opt out of the TV/Voice package even though I had no use for it. When I moved out I left my spectrum equipment due to the leasing agent saying they would take care of returning it, only to get a debt collector sent after me months later for, you guessed it, missing equipment. This apartment complex did not offer to pay, and lied to my face saying "no one who works there now worked there then." I know this to be a lie due to me having email correspondence with those same people then and now.
Avoid Connor Group properties at all cost.

I reside at a property of Connor group in Louisville, Ky. After numerous attempts to resolve problems with my unit, I have been lied to and ignored. When leaving several voice mails to person in charge of my apartments with no reply I was told “it is at our discretion to return phone calls”. This attitude
Trickles down to apartment managers. Very disappointed in the
Consideration they give their tenants. One issue is going on 3 months of being unresolved.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. Apartments are old and smell awful. The staff is unbelievably inept and rude. Katie first, then Lisa are completely useless and cowards. They used a bait and switch (showed me a "identical floor plan" of a unit that was not yet available) and when I picked up my keys, the light fixtures were falling out of the walls, the windows were cracked, and the countertops were ruined. Does this sound like the "luxury" they claim? If your idea of "luxury" is dog crap with a fresh coat of paint, then this is the place for you. Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS! The utility package is a joke. They make you get it...claiming it will save you money. It will run you at least 250 a month...on top of their overinflated rent. The "stainless steel appliances" are regular cheap appliances with gray plastic accents. The fridge handle blocked the laundry room door from being able to open. Does this sound like luxury to you? This place and it's staff are a joke. The Connor Group manages this property. Read their unresolved BBB complaints and you will know all you need to about this place.

I would give a zero, if that was an option. We’ve lived here almost two years. I’ve reached out multiple times trying to discuss an error in our rental agreement with our renewal pricing. There is never the same manager or person handling a specific issue. There have been multiple turn overs since December of 2022 when they let go the property manager. My main concern is the ridiculous amount that we’re being charged to live in a community that is not “luxurious”. It takes multiple days to get maintenance out as the company does not hire outsourced workers to take care of things except for the 4 employees that are currently staffed for over 100 plus units. The lack of communication and understanding of the property management staff has been nothing less than a constant headache. I would never recommend anyone to live at Austin Springs. The worst experience I’ve had living anywhere.

I have now lived in two properties owned by the Connor Group - Austin Springs in Miamisburg, Ohio and Somerset at Deerfield in Mason, Ohio (they bought the property from the company who owned it when I moved in). There is no way, under any circumstance, that I would ever recommend anyone rent an apartment owned by them.
I moved out at the end of May this year and it's been nearly two months since move-out now, so I emailed today to follow up since I have not received my deposit in the mail. I received an email from the property manager informing me that a letter was sent on June 10th and she "wasn't sure why it hadn't arrived." Apparently I somehow owe them more money, which they expect me to pay without receiving an official letter and itemized deduction from my deposit ($250) as well as my final month's Resident Billing Services bill which is $143, which means in total they're asking for $180 in addition to the $250 of my deposit they're keeping.
In addition to their rude property management (I have experienced this in both complexes) they are always looking for ways to nickel-and-dime you any chance they get whether it's through the ever-increasing monthly utility bills or decreasing a service you pay for while not decreasing the price. I paid around $50 per month for a trash butler service that picked up my trash at my door six days a week (didn't pick up on Saturdays), but by the time I moved out in May of this year they were down to picking up three days a week and, in true Connor Group fashion, it still cost the same amount of money per month.
Save your money, time, and headache and run far away from any apartment complex owned by them.

This company has predatory practices and hopes you don't know any better. I was presented with a ready to sign lease the day I came to just tour a unit. I hadn’t even done an application yet, but they had a lease ready for me to lock into 3 months early. The move out process is extremely rigid. They apparently do not allow you to go month-to-month if you need a few more days after your lease period. The lease states either party can give notice at 60 days, so if you don’t do it, they will give you notice AND (this part is illegal) if they are the ones to give you notice then for the remainder of your lease, they will charge you an additional $300 on your rent amount because that’s what the lease says they’ll do for a month to month rate... This comes from a basic lack of understanding of how leases work and what the words say. But you have a lease that says you will pay x amount for 12 months, they cannot simply decide to add another $300 for the last 2 months because you did not give a 60 day notice. You are not suddenly now on a month-to-month term, you are still finishing out your 12 month agreement.
Aside from being predatory and scummy, the property is so poorly kept. The outside looks okay but inside is where the truth comes out. They over charge and try to threaten you with inflated rents in the area to get your to renew your lease, hoping that you aren't smart enough to have already looked at rents in your area. They tell you that if you don't sign the renewal now (4 months early) they won't be able to give you the deal (of raising your rent) and later it will be more.

This place is an absolute joke!! Don’t ever move here. Pay $2000 a month to not have A/C for almost 3 months also being the summer months and not considered an emergency bc it’s not 80° outside!! Except we have pictures of our thermostat over 80° and the temperature outside too! Wanna know there fix?? Only 2 A/C units so either me or cait are with hot rooms or our living room is hot?? These units are constantly running but yet they refuse to pay our $300+ utility bill that was their “fix”. They have also refused to compensate for money off rent. Not to mention one of the A/C units flooded my floor but it was my fault for not being told to empty it?? Caitlin had to spend $200 of her own money to buy her own A/C unit but they also won’t pay for that. We have been told multiple times that someone is going to replace it and even had it scheduled however no one showed up, no one updated us and we still don’t have an answer when it will be fixed. Not to mention this is the second time in one year our A/C has broke. When we first moved in back in August of 2022 it broke then and they only temporarily fixed it.

Beware: these are con men and women. They don’t care about you- they only care about their bottom line. They are actively contributing to the American affordable housing crisis.
