1 starBeware! ***** infested ! Charges bank card higher rates than confirmed reservation prices! My family and I were in town April 7th for a soccer tournament. We decided to stay at this establishment because our son's friend was staying there. We checked in and was told there would be an additional $50.00 deposit that would be returned upon check out...We went to our room noticed that it was decent, but not clean, "food in fridge from previous stay". Not a big deal... we immediately left for tournament. When we came back a couple hours later we ordered pizza, and set on counter, within minutes there were German roaches all over the pizza and counter. I immediately went to front desk to report. They said they had no more rooms available and that management would contact us in the morning. We all stayed in the same bed that night as roaches were everywhere. We checked out in the morning, I asked for management once again was told they would contact me.. the following day I was charged $****** for room. My reservation was for ****** after taxes.I called again and was told management would get back to me. I disputed charges with bank, however I was still charged $****** I have called several times and management has yet to return any of my calls. As of today 5/15/2024 my bank has reverersed charges and charge me ****** This is not fair, and the health department should close this establishment. License should be revoked for unfair practices of over charging.Stay awayReview fromAngela K

1 starOn Friday 4/5/24, we booked a room at HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof **************. We were checked in to the room long enough to take our baggage up and take a quick look before we went back to the office to try to get a refund and cancel the 2 nights we had booked. The room was completely disgusting. The least worrisome was the holes in the comforter and missing light fixture in the hallway next to the elevator. From there it gets WAY worse. The buttons on the elevator look like they have NEVER seen a rag or water. The curtains in other windows walking down to our room had large spots of orange and brown stains on the back of them. Once we got to our room the door and the door frame look like they have also NEVER seen a rag or water. Getting into the room there was an immediate smell of mold/mildew. There were at least 3 to 4 holes in the comforter on the bed. Looking around there were black and brown spots on our "clean" bath towels. There were brown spots of who knows what all over the shower floor/soap shelf. There was a liquid line coming down from behind the bathroom mirror towards the sink. The sink was dirty and there was BLACK MOLD all the way down the grout of the shower base. Every wall in the room was dirty and the inside of the door was completely disgusting along with something brown all down the bottom of the door frame. We got a room with a kitchenette so we could possibly cook something instead of just eating out. The kitchen area wasn't just dirty but it was unusable. There was grease and food chunks all over the wall around the stove top. The stove top was totally rusted out and didn't look safe to use. The countertop was broken and the cabinets were dirty. When we opened the cabinet under the sink in the kitchenette the mold/mildew smell in the room got 100 times worse. We were on the hotel site for less than an hour and they refused to give us any sort of refund or cancellation for the 2 nights we paid to stay there. We left anyways.Review fromCarla M

1 starThe staff is kind and the residents are helpful. However, the owner and GM are extremely rude. Its crazy to me that they can be in charge of a hotel in the hospitality industry. Terek the general manager spent all day on 3/6/24 yelling and cussing out people on the property. Kicking people out and causing problems. I didnt even have a room yet, didnt say a word to him, I was minding my own business, he yelled in my face without giving me a chance to even speak. All because someone who has nothing to do with me said something to him that he didnt like. He kicks people out without warning, making the whole business seem like a joke. Hes even trying to cut out socializing on the property. Tenants can no longer sit outside and talk to each other. On top of that the place is disgusting and literally falling apart, yet he wants to up-charge people for that. Terek alone should stop you from coming here. Its in humane how he talks to the people on the property. Not to mention he kicked me off to the curb in the rain all because Im waiting to get a room. Now me and all my stiff are on the side of the road. I dont see how someone with no heart could possibly run a successful hotel, seeing as he knows nothing of hospitality.Review fromMitchell M

1 starThis was the most horrific experience I have ever had with a motel.I don't know how the other Red Roof Inn's are across this country but the one in Gulfport, MS was horrible.Their website was very deceiving. They claimed to have redone the rooms and when we got there the room didn't even look like the picture on their website. The refrigerator did not work, when we sat down on the bed you could feel the springs coming through. The bathroom was disgusting and the floor was so slippery my wife almost fell several times. We were there about 30 minutes at the most and decided to find another motel. Oh also the TV didn't work not to mention all the traffic coming and going into the motel. That seemed strange to my wife because there was hardly any cars there. When I went to the front desk the manager said that we had to be out right away and she was going to charge me for 1 night. But they changed us for 4 days which is what we originally were going to stay. We have tried unsecessfully to get our money back. So Red Roof Inn just stoled our money from us. My recommendation is to not make your reservation online because they take the money out immediately and go to the motel and ask to see the room before you book it. We will never stay at a Red Roof Inn again and be very careful if you decide you are going to stay at one. Also I only selected one star because I had to, to be able to write this review otherwise I would have not given them a star at all.Review fromRandy R

1 starThis is the worse bug and rat infested hotel, customer service is horrible, rooms are dirty and there is no one ever in the office. I can't believe they are still in business. This hotel should be condemned and the so called employees that say they represent this place should be fired. Called to speak to the manager of this building and the guy lied saying he was the manager and I know for a fact he doesn't even work for the hotel. Nothing but disrespectful, non caring people that have nothing to do with being in costumer service. Don't stay at this hotel, you will regret it. You get what you pay for!
