      went in to their shop with 2 broken u bolts-- was told you have to replace all 4 as the others are stretched-- and if you dont replace all 4 they wont do job forcing a man to do a job that is not necessary--- trying to claim it is a liability issue -- if they dont touch them why would there be a liability issue. you can go in with a blown tire and before they even try to fix the blown tire there measuring to say other tires are bad This is a wrong tactic and should truthfully should be turnred in to the attorney general/ this is unfair and un ethical

      I am a ***** Ground Linehaul Contractor out of GA and we recently had one of our rigs fill up gas there. Well it appears your Diesel was contaminated with water and which then stalled our truck on the HWY and then we had to flush and get towed. As well as lose money on the load bringing back to GA.I have samples of this gas and will be sending this to the *** and Weight and Measures of SC to do a throughough check at this location. Because I have spent over ******* for a tow and sending mechanics out there to pump out the bad gas and change filters over and over.The location is Travel Stop #***

      I am absolutely disgusted at the treatment I received at Store #*** located at ********************************************** from ************************* on 4/4/2023 at 10:15 p.m. EST. I purchased a packet of peanuts for $0.69, plus tax from a cashier named ****** and used the bathroom. Then, I went outside to park my truck by the fuel pump and went back inside to purchase $288.88 of fuel from *************************. While making this purchase, ****** rudely snapped at me and said "you better pay for those peanuts, too". After I explained that I had previously purchased the peanuts, ****** refused to believe me and accused me of stealing.****** then went to the back and made contact with another employee via his radio to check if the peanuts were previously purchased. ****** even confirmed that I bought the peanuts from her. After twice receiving confirmation that the peanuts were already paid for, ****** did not apologize for his mistake. Instead of trying to smooth over the situation, he made incendiary, racially charged comments and continued to imply I was a thief. He even mentioned that he had a Black brother. I am not entirely sure of the reasoning behind this statement.I am very disappointed and I hope ****** takes the necessary steps to discipline this employee for his abhorrent behavior.

      On 12/14/22 i presented to the Loves store in ***********, ** to have an alternator replaced. I DROVE the tractor into their shop. During the alternator replacement an electrical short caused several fuses to blow. After the repairs the tractor would not start. They told me they had done all they could do and that Id need to call elsewhere for further assistance. I contacted MHC in ***********, **. They diagnosed the problem as a burned/fried Electronic Control unit. Obviously, the the unit was damaged during the alternator and battery replacement, where a hot cable was shorted to ground and fuses were blown. MHC repairs totaled some $4700. The *** also had a $2500 tune on it and will need to be purchased again. Then there is loses of revenue due to 3 days down. A responsible and accountable company would cheerfully reimburse a customer for its damages that occurred during a repair that cause vehicle damaged.Thank You ********************************

      loves did send me a placating generic response that indicated they would be contacting me in 3 to five days. They have not contacted me and they have continually failed to answer my numerous phone calls. Im try to avoid retaining an attorney.

      Deceptive Practice by Former Shop Manager Manager was apparently conducting "private repairs" but done at the Loves Facility and using the Loves employee mechanics. Shop manager arranged a repair and for customer to ship the parts to ******************** to repair the problem. Apparently manager was collecting money for the repair ($1000 to him plus the $5K in parts that he had the customer ship to him) but when he was confronted because he left the unit running for 6 hours with no coolant in the engine (after the repair) and seized the engine, which now will cost $35K to repair, he refused to fix it or answer. When Loves corporate was contacted, they "denied liability" for their shop manager taking in private work through loves and collecting the money. They said we'd have to basically "chase" their "former" shop manager (*************************) because they fired him after they found out about this.

      I am rejecting this response because:  We tried to resolve the matter with the owners, as well as the risk management department, and they refused to do anything about the situation, which is why we decided to make a complaint with the BBB in the first place.  They will not stand behind the fact that it is THEIR employee that swindled people.  They fired him, and now they are "washing their hands" of the situation for the people who were scammed by their shop manager.

      On 2/28/23 I went to the *********, ******* location to have a semi trailer tire replaced. I walked into the business at 7:10am and signed up to have the tire repaired. I was told it would be a 2-3 hour wait. At 11:45am I went back into the store and was told by the same person you didnt have a tire tech on duty and one would not be there until after 3pm. I went back in at 5pm and was told by a different crew that they didnt have my paperwork and that everyone who worked that morning could have changed the tire. That there is not a certain person they have to wait on and that this is an ongoing problem. I was told an area manager would call me in a few minutes, no call. *** sent emails, left msgs for the store manager to call and was told by you corporation that someone would reach out. They havent. Your evening staff was great especially with telling me how the person on day shift does this all the time and how they (night shift) is always getting chewed out because day shift pushes people off because they dont want to do the work. It took 11 hours to get a single tire changed. This cost me hundreds of dollar, wasted my time, caused me to have to sleep on the street because I couldnt find parking late at night. I had customers and brokers scream at me and calling me a liar because they couldnt believe it took 11 hours to change a tire. The fact that absolutely no one from your company has reached out to me shows that the person in charge is very much away that this is an ongoing problem and refuses to address the problem. I will not use your company for anything unless you are the last option on earth. You waste peoples time, cost them money, cause stress and many other issues. I would have much preferred had you told me you werent going to do it at 7am instead of having me sit there for 11 hours. Your evening crew was great. They took me in right away and seemed to care (or at least pretended to). They are the only good thing there.

      On 25 Jan 2023, I went to the Love's repair shop in Greenwood, LA to get a coolant leak repaired. They misdiagnosed the issue and replaced the wrong hose. To make the issue worse, they attempted to conceal the fact that they were negligent in their diagnosis by using nylon zip ties to repair the hose that was leaking. On Friday, 27 Jan 2023 I had to call Love's Road Service for the leak. He noted that a repair had been done using nylon zip ties, and that the ties had shaken loose and caused the leak. They charged me $662.64 for the initial "repair". Then they charged me everything that I had in my account, which was $1314.69. On top of that, my delivery was completed at 10 am, but the repairs were not finished until 4pm. I was unable to get a load for the weekend and suffered $2200 in lost revenue. I called Love's Customer Service Line and filed a complaint and they have not responded to me.

      Love's company has un legal practices to steal from its customers by false diagnostics and overcharging the customers for services and parts that are not needed and gouging prices that are radicals. Like the cheapest trailer tire before installation and fees is $740 I own tracking company BG ********************* Every truck and trailer by law has to pass annual safety DOT inspection from a shop. My truck was in excellent condition when I send it for inspection to *********** care # *** located at ************************************************************************************************* My complaint is that, non of the repairs were necessary and the shop scammed me suggested unnecessary repairs to cheat me. It's like you drop off your car at the dealership to change your windshield wipers and the dealership change your engine and charge you $10'000 and give you false evidence. I dropped my truck for oil change and annual DOT inspection on Jan. *******. Someone from the shop called me and told me that I need to buy 4 tires, 4 drums, 4 brakes and I have seal leak that has to be fixed. In order to pass inspection Love's shop told that I am required to do all that repairs. I told them that's not true because I know my truck and I want proof. They sent me fake old pics from other trucks that were not in consequence file name numbers with 84 missing files/pics between the first and last pics. This were old set of pics with bad drums prepared to lie customers and convince them to change their drums because they are bad, when actually they are not. The same way the rest of the repairs they did were not necessary and I was charged for. I told them not to touch my truck and I will take it to ************** for second opinion. Next day they called me that is was a mistake with the fake pics, the truck is fixed and I have to pay $4287.31 before i take it.2 days later the oil pan was broken and the oil was asphalt black and thick, not typical for fresh oil. Obvious they didn't change it, but i was charged

      I stopped at the ********** ******* loves travelspot number ***************************************************************************************************************************** the store to ask for a refund cuz this was my last dollar 50 and all three workers including the manager told me it wasn't their problem that I have to call the ***** number well it kind of was their problem because the air machine said Love's on it so that makes it part of their corporation the cashier the manager and another manager were so rude to me that it made me never want to shop there again I mean what kind of truck stop doesn't refund a broke air machine it's a travel stop spot for people like me who are traveling and considering this was my last dollar 50 and I was over 200 miles away from my home what was I supposed to do and I also think that I should get the gas money that it cost my family to spend to drive almost 200 miles to give me $1.50 and also I believe I deserve at least $100 store credit for the rude ******* workers y'all got and managers and just remember that the air machine says loves travel spot on it so it was their machine so it was their responsibility to refund my money considering I live 200 miles away

      I except the apology but that still doesn't help my family and the money we spent over a dollar fifty it's like I said in my last message I lived over 200 miles away and my folks had to come all the way down here to bring me $1.50 because Love's travel stop told me it wasn't their problem but the air machine had a loves logo on it so therefore it was their problem or y'all's problem so if possible I would like at least a gift card so my folks can get their money back please and thank you

      I’m at this location love travel stop # 371 in Dillon SC for the past 4 months that I stopped here the never have a shower its ridiculous the always have an excuse for showers I do pay higher fuel price witch the included fees for showers and I can never get a shower here
