Worst customer experience EVER!!! This happened at the **** Integrity Center Point location. I sent my wife there a year ago to get work done on her car. She was wanting beefier tires for going into the mountains. The salesperson ******************* took total advantage of her knowing she didnt know a lot about cars. He sold her all-season tires when she was wanting all train tires (big difference). He also told her that she needed to upsize her rims to fit the tires she was wanting. Come to this last storm of 11/19/2022 a curb was hit, and a bubble formed on the side wall of the tires. The car was taken into the shop to have the tire replaced under the warranty. The employees said nothing can be done and I would have to replace all the tires. There was only ****** miles on the tires at this point and time. So, I am not happy that I need to replace all the tires. It was during this point I found out that ****** sold her the same size rims that she had on previously. This was found out by them trying to put a tire I chose on the old rim, and they couldnt fit it. Due to ******* unethical practice my wife spent $1,296 on new rims that wasnt needed. This also forced me to get a unpreferred tire for her that costed more. I ended up talking to the assistant manager ***** regarding the shady business practice. At first the only thing he offered to help with the situation was buy back my tires, and that was only three of them due to the one being bad. Over several conversations with him, the only thing that he would do, is install for free and I would pay for the tires. With everything that was done I cannot support a company that takes advantage of women and will not own up to the situation when confronted with it. I will never do business with Les Schwab.

May 2022 - Breaks on my car started to ********** was considering going on a long distance ride to the east coast so I asked them to check my car bumper to bumper but esp. my breaks and check my tires. Results: they states that my breaks were fine, had been hard used but the clips on my back breaks would need to be replaced and thru would get an estimate and let me know &!that only 3 tires needed to be replaced & that eventually my breaks would squeak worse (like a truck).11/16/22 - Never got that quote and had another mechanic check my breaks as the squeaking/grinding had gotten worse. They told me when they took them apart they had fallen apart & they showed me the parts, to rotate were uneven as well as pads. Had I made that trip across country I would have been screwed royally. The one this I cant stand is a dishonest mechanic. If I were anyone looking to trust your vehicle in any mechanics hands DONT GO HERE..this is the last place Id go. As far as my tires, ** suppose to be on reminder texts of when to take it back in & have yet to get a text of any of the sorts.

On 11/07/2022 I went to Les Schwab to get a ride share inspection. As soon as I got there, the front desk guy was super rude and said it would take 5 hours for a 20 minute inspection. I told him that was fine as I needed to have this done. Two hours later, they call me and say that my car had failed inspection due to low tire thread, 4/32. I knew that was impossible as I just had the car inspected by the dealer (10/20/2022) and the tire thread measured at 6/32. On 11/12/2022 I went to Midas and had the car inspected again and I passed with a measured tire thread at 5/32. The **** ASE form clearly states that the tires must be at 4/32 or better to pass. Not only did my tires meet that criteria but they were actually at 5/32.Les Schwab cheated me out of $21.68 for the inspection, failed me when they should have passed me, and tried to sell me new tires. Because of them I lost valuable time and money taking my car elsewhere for an inspection.Horrible customer service and a fraud company. I'm extremely disappointed with them. The least they can do is refund my money.

Vehicle was taken in on 11/02/2022 for tire rotation. While the vehicle was in the care of Les Schwab the front window was cracked (approximately 3 inches). There is clearly an impact **** on the window where the crack has occurred. When addressing this with the employee he stated that it must be bad timing, that perhaps the change in weather caused the crack. This is clearly a diversion to the fact that my vehicle was in the care of this company and while in their possession it was damaged. The damage was pointed out to the employee before the vehicle left their parking lot and I feel they are responsible for the repairs. Vehicle in question is a 2012 ***** Crosstour. I purchased a battery and installation from Les Schwab on 6/10/2022. On 10/12/2022 the electrical system in my car stopped working completely. I assumed it was the starter since the battery is new. I had to have the car towed and repaired. My mechanic told me verbally and documented on the invoice that the shoddy installation by Les Schwab was responsible for my car dying. They were able to clean up Les Schwab's mess and my car is working again. I called Les Schwab, both the local garage that installed the battery and the corporate office. Both denied any responsibility and were rather condescending in insisting that it was not their fault. Apparently all they are responsible for in terms of the battery is the car driving off the lot. I think they are responsible for the cost of the tow and mechanic who had to fix their mistakes.

      Complaint: 18311840

I am rejecting this response because:

I spoke with him prior to submitting this complaint. He was condescending, told me I needed to call the store again "even though they will tell you the same" because Les Schwab was not responsible. He told me I had to talk to a manager, not the person who I spoke to when I called the local garage the first time, before going up the ladder to him, corporate "customer service". Why didn't the person answering the phone the first time direct me to the manager? Unless he was the manager, or considered me so insignificant he could insult me on behalf of Les Schwab. He never identified himself but was dismissive and continued to state if the car was driven off the lot, the battery was installed properly. Either way, this is two phone calls I already made to resolve this. It seems to me the responsibility is on them to decide if they are going to agree to the remedy I proposed. Frankly, I am not interested in being treated like c*** again by these people.

I did get a voicemail after submitting this complaint from the person from corporate I spoke to previously. He stated "maybe we got off on the wrong foot." I find this disingenuous. If he had treated me like a customer with a valid concern the first time I called, I would not have needed to take these steps. And still, not even a basic apology.

If they want a solution to this, they can reimburse me for what I had to pay due to their poor battery installation: $159 for the tow and $143 for fixing their mess for a total of $302. My credit card should still be on file for refund.

Whereas I respect the BBB for wanting us to work this out, you are also asking me to reengage with people who I found to be offensive.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************************

On 8/11/22 I went into the north Division location to have my brakes done. Upon inspection they stated I would need to have everything replaced on my brakes to which I agreed. A little while later they stated they I also need an upper control arm and tire rod replaced to which I declined. I went to pick up my vehicle that same day about 15 minutes prior to closing and immediately noticed my brakes needed a lot of pressure to stop and there was a hissing noise coming from my brake pedal which had not been before. Due to it being closing time and only living a few blocks from the location I just drove it home. The next day I told it back and had an associate rudely tell me it was my brake booster and that **** Edge are infamous for having an issue with them so the contact ****. I asked why was this not addressed or brought up since without the brake booster my new set of brakes do not work. I left the location and called corporate to explain my frustration that my brake booster was not fixed and my **** dollar set of brakes are not satisfactory. They got in contact which the manager and they me take in back in. **** the manager then test drove my car and I have on recording him stating that it was not my brake booster and that the hissing sound was normal. He stated that there was some air in the line and so they would bleed it again and that it may take time for brakes to be worn in. Before leaving my brakes seemed to be working and coming to a complete stop but within a day the issue returned. I figured that maybe they needed time to be broken in until last Monday (10/17/22) when I took it into another location. I took it another Les Schwab (*******) and the associate there was able to within minutes diagnose the problem I was having as a brake booster and explained that is why my brakes are not working. He suggested to contact the **** dealership and have them diagnose it as well so I did schedule an appointment with them.

On I believe the 21st of September my car had broken down due to hitting some cinder block in the road and thinking at the time it was just a tire blow out I pulled over and having no tows left I decided to take the wheel off my car and walk it to the leswab tire center so I could get a new one and make sure I got the right size and everything I took down the make and model of my car took pictures of all the other tires and everything to show the mechanic exactly what i would need after carrying this tire about a mile I get there and they tell me Its going to be 250$ which while not my main comparison is 100$ish more than they charged for the exact same thing at a different les Schwab location after pointing this out and being a little frustrating from carrying a tire a mile I was probably short in my tone because of the price but after I accept the price and move on to the tire I show this guy the exact tire and wheel that came off my car and say I want this exact tire and wheel he takes the size my car details and everything and when it comes to the actual tire and me not being a mechanic he brings me out a different size one then the one I brought in knowing I didnt ask for it but because at the last les Schwab they accidentally put in my tire size as one size to big he brought that one out and said so you want the same one as last time me not being knowledgeable enough about tire size say yes because I think its the same as the tire I dragged all the way there for it to only be the wrong one and I after carrying the new tire back and get it on my car it barley fit on my car I was able to drive back to the les Schwab but the wheel was scraping my car the whole time they then admitted to knowingly giving me a different size because they knew In the heat of the moment I was making a mistake with the tire size and took advantage of that then refused even a partial refund of my wheel only saying they would take the tire back basically scamming me out of $250ish

I am rejecting this response because: I didnt sell the car, I gave it to a family friend. I was told by **** immediately after he scratched my car that it didnt matter if I kept it, or if even  fixed it. All I needed to do was obtain 2 bids for the cost to repair the vehicle and Les Schwab would cut me a check those were his exact words. Had I known it would have caused an issue I would have of course waited before parting with the vehicle. Also - I dont understand why it matters who has the car now - I owned it when they damaged it. Whether or not I choose to fix the scratch should be my choice. They should pay for the damage. It seems simple to me. That is how it was explained to me so their posturing now in some attempt to get out of something they are responsible for seems negligent. As does scratching my car while it was in their care. **** took photos the day scratched it. I also sent him photos the day I turned in my paperwork when he text me and asked me if i had photos of the damage. I have records of all of that. If they need to pay the new owner of the car - that works. They shouldnt get out of paying however.

On aug.31st 2022 i took my small cargo wagon in to have a tire put back on rim. When they called and told me the tube needed replaced and stated all tires were flat. ( not true ) i checked all tires before taken it in . i told them just fix the one off the rim . as i return to pick up my wagon. I noticed. The tires were different. I told them these are not my tires. My tires were still new. Big bright shinny. with the stubbies still on. When i arrived they put on these small worn out tires. I called the police and they stayed they could not do anything. To contact corp headquarters . I called twice not response. Then sent a letter thru their messenger center. But still have not heard back ...... I had a previous issue with same store. Tried to sell me break system. For over ********. When there was nothing wrong with my breaks i spoke with manager. He stated. The car would not make the trip to Nebraska. But it did and back. Still driving no issues Thank you sincerely,***************************** Pictures of original tires.
