Went in this morning to get new tires. They told me I needed new struts; $1900. I spoke with my mechanic who had just inspected my car 5 months ago and he told me there is no way Les Schwab could have known that by just changing my tires. My mechanic told me what to look for and listen for and that has not been happening. SCAM. BE AWARE WHEN GOING TO LES SCHWAB.Les Schwab Tire Center

We regret that ***************** had a negative experience at the *********, ******** Les Schwab tire center. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
According to *********************** records, ****************** brought her 2013 ****** Corolla (vehicle) to the tire center on February 10, 2024, and purchased and installed four new tires. As part of this service, Les Schwabs technicians perform a Safety Status Check. The notes recommend replacing the struts due to blown boots and reached mileage. According to the invoice, the mileage on her vehicle was at ******* miles. Although there are no known manufacturer recommendations for only mileage, this recommendation is based on the condition of the specific part.
Although Les Schwab respectfully disagrees with the allegations in her report we would like to assure ***************** that Les Schwab remains committed to providing the best service and products possible.Review fromJames R

I had a CV **** repaired which went great, until I took my car on the freeway. The splash shield was left unsecured and was dragging, eventually folding completely over. upon returning I was told (by **************) a missing section with obvious signs of grinding on the road was like that when I brought it in and the best they could do was to look around and attempt to secure what was left. I expressed my displeasure and left with the screws which promptly came loose on the freeway a second time. I returned and had the manager (*****) tell me the the missing sections happened more likely from the snow and ice and she secured it (temporarily) with a zip tie. Earning trust includes accountability when things dont go well- I will not be backLes Schwab Tire Center

We regret that **************** had a negative experience at the *******, **, Les Schwab tire center. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
According to *********************** records, **************** brought his 2011 *** 535i (vehicle) to the tire center on January 24, 2024 with the right front CV axle boot torn open. **************** informed the tire center technician he was told at another shop that the drivers side was also. The tire center technician working to inspect the vehicle was only able to see the damage on the right and ordered the necessary parts to complete the repair. On January 26, 2024, **************** returned to have the work performed.
Upon receipt of this report, Les Schwabs **************** Representative, ***,
reached out to the store manager, *****, to begin an investigation of Mr. ******* claim. ***** explained that they had to remove a plastic guard on the right front to replace this axle. This guard was put back to its original position after the axle was installed and there were no issues. The plastic guard in question was never altered during this service. There are multiple plastic guards in the fender well added for undercarriage protection. The guard that was removed was the forward guard in order to replace this axle. The plastic guard that the customer is concerned about is the rearward guard which was not altered during this service. The left front is also missing a plastic guard, showing that they were never in perfect order. As a gesture of customer service courtesy, when **************** returned to the store complaining about the plastic guard, the store attempted to install screws to hold the cover up.. These screws did not last long and the customer returned. At this time, the manager installed plastic ties to hold the cover up temporarily. Being right behind the heatshield, she did make note that worst case scenario, this zip tie *** become brittle due to the heat. ***** offered to replace the two missing bolts as well as provide a quote from *** for the replacement. ***** attempted to provide potential solutions but the customer declined the offers.
Although ********************** respectfully disagrees with the allegations in his report and are unwilling to resolve his concerns for what he asks, we would like to assure **************** that Les Schwab remains committed to providing the best service and products possible.Review fromEdward B

Ive never dealt with such a dishonest company. Im so ashamed of how people treat others to make their boss a **** while they make pennies through commission. First off, never go to an auto shop that pays commission. Secondly, never go to one run by teenagers. Unfortunately my girlfriend didnt know better, is from a small town where honesty is the common interaction, and she simply just doesnt know Different. Long story short, she heard a noise coming from her tire so she pulled over and called a friend who informed her to IMMEDIATELY pull over and get it checked at her ( the friends) favorite auto shop, Les Schwab. Already on high alert having her two little girls in the car, she did just as she was told. To the pieces of human refuge working at this moral-less shack of lies, it was hook, line and sinker. One of the employees, but not the manager, ( never got a name), told her that her wheel WILL come off and her and her children WILL MOST LIKELY DIE when that happens. Turns out a bolt had broken that held the spring back on the brake pad, inside rear brake. Not good, but not life or death. Then after assessing told her she couldnt take the car off the premises without them hiring a tow truck and watching it be properly loaded. So they held her against her will, for a price of course. And told her for them to fix it would take multiple hours and cost 900 and some change. Im sorry but a s**** that took ten minutes to get to shouldnt cost a thousand to replace. Her friend offered to float the bill and knowing she was stuck other wise she said okay out of FEAR OF DEATH. After calling when I got the chance in between driving at work, they refused to re assemble the brakes so I could pick it up and go elsewhere. I spoke with the manager and he said I needed to get in within thirty minutes in rush hour traffic and Sign a release form. Lies and scare tactics are all these foul pieces of work know. This location needs to find a new home with new associates.Les Schwab Tire Center

I think they sell tires instead of repairing tires, then when their pos tires pickup a nail they make you wait hours for a repair that should take about 15 minutes after telling you the wait will be 1 hour or less!Les Schwab Tire Center

We regret that ************ had a negative experience at the **********, **********, Les Schwab tire center. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
According to *********************** records, ************ visited the tire center on December 22, 2023 for a flat repair at 9:30 AM. Les Schwab services vehicles on a first come first served basis unless an appointment is made. First off this is for the location on **** and ******** which wasnt an option. I got an oil change on a Saturday and found out the next time I drove my car which was on Monday on my way to work I noticed I was leaking oil. Then I called to tell them so I can take it and have them fix there mistake. I waited 2 hours before they got to my car. Im sorry but if you mess up especially on something as easy as an oil change then make me wait that long for you to fix it when I bring it in again thats just unprofessional. I shouldve had priority sense the fault was on there end but they made me wait still.Les Schwab Tire Center

At Les Schwab we pride ourselves in the quality of customer service we have to offer. When there is an issue, you can count on our teams to take the steps to address it appropriately. That includes making it convenient for the customer. It is disheartening to hear we missed the **** during your visit. We hope to have the opportunity in the future to redeem this incident. Please reach out if there is ever anything we are able to help you with. If you can provide further details on your invoice, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to review this with our management team of this location.Review fromNathan E

We regret that ************** had a negative experience with Les Schwab. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
We are unable to locate the quotes ************** refers to. Our stores typically do not give quotes for work on front-end parts over the phone. This is because many times, once we visually inspect the vehicle, parts different than what we quoted are needed or we find further recommended parts that need to be replaced. This would cause a vast difference in pricing from what was given over the phone. At Les Schwab, we prefer to perform a free visual inspection on your vehicle before having a concrete price quote put together. This is to ensure the quote is in line with the customer's needs and there aren't any surprises from the original quote. If ************** can provide more details on the two quotes, we would be more than happy to look further into what caused the price difference to be so great.Review fromPennie C

I had rims put on my suv in the cda branch a year ago . After they were put on I heard scrapping and went back to have it looked at and was told its fine . I went back 4 times and was told they are busy and try again . Im a photographer so I use my suv for my business , I need to make sure its safe . I went back about 2 weeks ago with a leaky tire that I was told by them its a slow leak so I can just air it up as needed.I finally found some time and took it in, waited around, and the mechanic came out and told me that there was metal lodged in it and that my rims did not fit properly. They wanted me to pay an additional $290 to order the proper rims and I had had decided that wasnt going to happen ,I felt they were in the wrong for putting the wrong ones on to begin with..I decided to go to another tire place to have it looked at. They told me that they were wrong size and they ordered up the proper size. They were concerned by the look of what was happening with the tires and a safety issue. Yesterday I went in to have the new rims put on my vehicle. They pulled off all tires and told me to come take some photographs. They were concerned for the safety and how bad the tires were destroyed by the improper rims ,they told me I wasnt going to be able to leave with the tires that I had. I had to purchase new ones for my safety. I ended up spending $1146 and told them to take notes on everything that happened so I can take it back to Les Schwab and have them pay me back all my money. I went into Les Schwab yesterday and spoke to the manager showed him the pictures and showed him the information and Told him that I couldve been killed .The first thing he said was that I couldnt have been killed. It wasnt that bad and that he took everything I had to the back to talk to the other manager. Honestly, I was shocked that he wasnt concerned for my safety They are turning in paperwork for my refund. I will not do business again there .Les Schwab Tire Center

BBB Review - ******
We regret that Mr. and ***************** had a negative experience with Les Schwab. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
When a customer pulls in for a complimentary air pressure check, we are happy to assist right away without adding them to the queue for service. At this time, we will fill the tires to the recommended/requested air pressure. If one tire is significantly lower on air, that is a good indication that it may have a leak or puncture. We would advise the customer to check in at the front counter to have this repair done. The wait time will be dependent on the current workload the store is facing.
Some tire repair facilities will use a tire plug kit to repair tires. These plugs are very quick, but mildly effective. Les Schwab does not recommend using a tire plug in a passenger/light truck application unless it is a dire emergency. When a vehicle gets up to speed, the tire will heat up, causing the plug to eventually work its way out of the tire. When this happens, the tire will abruptly lose air. This can lead to a catastrophic failure. Les Schwab and any other major tire retailer, will not install a plug into a tire that plans on seeing public roads. We will only use a patch system from the inner liner of the tire. A patch will be vulcanized to the inner liner of the tire; ensuring a permanent repair. This process takes more time as this requires removing the wheel from the vehicle and dismounting the tire to access the inner liner. This policy is in place to ensure our customer's personal safety.
********************** apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused the customers and would like to assure Mr. and ***************** that Les Schwab remains committed to providing the best service and products possible.
