1/1/23 ordered an arraignment from Harry and David's online website using a coupon for 20% off the total. The coupon code would not go thru, an online chat window appeared and the sales rep told me to call the next day and it would be applied. The next day I had to stay on the phone and argue with their customers service rep to try and get them to honor their coupon. Terrible business practice and hostile customer service.Business Response

My wife ordered a turkey dinner on 12/8 for my parents for Christmas. Only the stuffing arrived. I called H&D, they told me the remainder of the order was shipped and would arrive today. The lady said the order was stuck in a ***** warehouse in Georgia. She offered to replace the order but the other sides we selected were unavailable. I picked new sides and was told it would arrive today. On my wife's ride home from work today someone else called and said said the original sides we ordered were not available DUH! He told my wife the order would arrive on January 5th instead! We've ordered from this company for years. That will never happen again. What a bunch of MORONS!!!!Business Response

We felt it was important to respond to our customers feedback.
What was stated is correct with a few additions for clarification. Their ordered was placed to be delivered by 12/14/2022. The gift was shipped; however, it was lost at the ************* hub on 12/13.
Once we were contacted, we offered our apologies and credited the customer back $170.48. We also offered to resend another Turkey Dinner w/sides (some side dishes had to be changed)We take our customer feedback very seriously and hope we've been able to make amends to our customer for the inconvenience and disappointment they experience during Christmas.
Since we ship perishable items and they sometimes get caught in shipping delays; since the 1930's Our Guarantee is.
You and those who receive your gifts must be delighted, or well make it right with either an appropriate replacement or refund.

I ordered almost 100 gift baskets from Harry & David for our valued customers. I selected a specific gift and was told they had plenty available so I placed my order totaling $7,700. I included my name on the list so I could know when the gift was delivered. The gift arrived on time, but was not the gift I selected. Far from it! I couldn't even find that gift on their website to compare costs but am sure it costs must less than what I'd ordered. Not only was it badly packaged, it was mostly meats (not treats!) and items seemed low-end. I was never told this would happen so it was a very upsetting surprise. My inquiries have not been answered, I've emailed and called with no response. It's utter neglect. They made a healthy profit off of my order and we're left with an unhealthy image in front of our customers. I want a healthy refund.Business Response

I ordered a 12 month fruit of the month club, plus a gift basket and a card on december 10,2022 with an order number of W01005793449324 and was promised in an email of a 20% discount on the order of $479.54 however I forgot to enter the code for the discount at the payment site and I called back within an hour and talked to a rep of Harry and David who courtesly gave me the 20% discount with a total charge of $375.13.Instead of placing the order which I received in an email of **********, the employee accidentally canceled the entire order and my order never went through which was promised for delivery on dec 27, 2022.I chatted and called Harry and David reps, and they stated they couldn't help me. I was referred to a supervisor *** who also was not able to establish the agreed upon order price and was of no help.I feel that the original promise for the discounted order should be honored per usual and customary business practices of following ethical business practices. I don't believe i was treated fairly and should be compensated as i will now have to pay for a more expensive gift basket. I feel that I should be compensated for the original amount of the agreed upon price.Business Response

On 12/27/2022 we received a package from Harry and David delivered by Fed Ex. It was a Christmas gift from our family. However we were not able to taste the beautiful pears as they were frozen solid and had frost on them. Also the bottle of wine was frozen and the bottle broken open. I called to place an order which required a shipment date by a specific date, the 19th of December. The customer service person said it would ship the week of the 19th and I said no thanks because if it shipped any later than the 19th the items (3 separate orders actually) would arrive too late given that the recipients would no longer be at the shipment address. The customer service person assured me the items would ship on the 19th, instead of sometime that week, which she knew would be too late. So I agreed. And indeed the items failed to ship on the 19th, instead shipping too late on the 21st and are expected to arrive sometime later than promised and too late for any of my recipients to receive. Attempts to remedy the situation have been unsuccessful and so far have yet to address the problem at all!Business Response

Yes, they gave me a refund which I appreciated but they also were saying that they would look into the actual delivery of the items ordered but nobody has gotten back to me about it and my 3 gift recipients are without a gift and it's Christmas. So I am still very frustrated and not satisfied with their response.

I have used this service for many years with wonderful results. I recently ordered a chicken pot pie for me and kept getting e-mails saying it was delivered when it was not. Finally I called and was told they were having email problems. I kept checking on my porch to see when it would arrive. My neighbor called to tell me my package was in the middle of my driveway. In plain sight for anyone to pick up. The Fed Ex driver just left it there. I will not be doing business with you in the future. Date of transaction 12/13/2022- Cancelled transaction.My transaction for order # ********** was cancelled by the company due to the fact they "lost my information" despite being an internet purchase. I spoke with 2 persons over the course of the transaction ( who clearly were overseas who's comprehension of the english language was limited and stated everything was fine).My final call to an english comprehending and speaking representative disclosed the above information. The reason for the complaint is simply that the Harry and David **************** is really not customer service. It is a sham. They do not comprehend data appropriately and gave False information to me as the customer. I am hoping that in the future that appropriate training, and certifications of English as a Foreign Language must be obtained in order to have meaningful employment for this corporation.Business Response
