      On 4/4/2023 i purchased a phone ($469.73) and got a plan with consumer cellular paid in full up front with credit card there was no contracts the agent reassured me and said call was recorded. the phone was a second phone because of health reasons. on 6/21/2023 i wanted to consolidate and move to another provider so i received a sim card from the new provider installed it in my phone that i purchased from consumer cellular but it would not work the phone was locked so i called consumer cellular ask them to unlock my phone which i own 100% paid in full and have no contract the person i talked to said no contract but our policy is i have to stay with them for 6 months (false advertising bait & switch) before they would unlock my phone (never was explained to me) from that point i talk to several supervisor's with no results so i now have a phone i can't use. i need some help please!

      consumer cellular phone company should be a shamed taking advantage of the elderly people on fixed income's and god forbid if something happens to me and i can't use my phone to call for help that i own out right (which is locked now) huge law suits..consumer cellular lie to there customers.

      This company stinks. My mom has been a customer 13+yrs. Every phone breaks in the same area after having it a short time.. my mom has a total of 9 broken phones...she recently had a phone replacement phone sent to her on 6/15...the phone does not work properly...she has to keep removing the battery and put it back in. My mom is in her 70's and not in the best of health. This phone is her only phone .. 7days now she has complained to consumer cellular..they told her to call asurion and they tell her to call consumer cellular. She even went to target twice spent a total of 4 hrs there and still got no where...now she has a phone that doesn't work right and a warranty she paid for and can't use because no one will help...and they are nasty to her and completely uncaring.. they were also rude to the target manager in charge of that section...so phone is 8 days old and completely useless . It is unfair for her to have to buy another phone and warranty when they refuse to send her a replacement...they claim the phone she has is the replacement and she is trying to make them understand that it doesn't work

      I wrote this letter so that someone or something can be done to rectify my moms current situation with this company...and for all the other ppl out there that aren't treated properly..

      Ported my cell number to another company, ran into trouble. Contacted Consumer Cellular to try to resolve the problem, was verbally assured that the number had been released. It was not - and despite zero useage, they continued to charge me for a line that was no longer in service. Refused to refund or even reduce the amount they say I owed. I was lied to, and the rep I tried to get assistance from today was snarky. Do business with them at your own risk.

      Awful, doesnt ring to notify you of a call or text, even though you have phone set to ring. You will find out days later that someone called, it takes that long to notify you.maybe. Same thing with text. When talking to someone if you move a foot one way or the other the voice fades out. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

      Disgusting phone service. AARP should be ashamed of themselves. Took a trip in the phone's wouldn't work half of the places we went. We paid 2 months and advance before we left, Before that month was up, we canceled our service. Then I sent a bill for $68, Which we absolutely did not owe them. HAD to pay just to get rid of them...I would not recommend consumer cellular to anyone. The cost just keeps going up-and-up. For terrible service. They just seem to want to take advantage of the older generation.

We are not a prepaid provider; service is month to month. When an account is closed, there is always a final bill for service through the cancellation date.       When trying to switch to consumer cellular they were unable to activate my phone. They kept telling me I created a pin number which I did not. They couldn't even locate the phone they sent me in their system. I provided them the number from the new phone, think it's called the **** number. Then I was told I would have to go to target to have it activated. As a disabled person this was very difficult for me. Will probably cancel this service next month.

      ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Tried to help my 96 year old father with his phone and contract They refused to help for TWO years FINALLY got the contract cancelled I can't imagine what this scam business will try when he passes.DISGUSTING

      They ripped off my 80yo mother for $60! She bought the phone, returned the next day and CC has avoided action to correct the issue at every turn. They have disconnected my call five times in three days, dug up new barriers to move forward twice and now they insist I send them documents establishing that I am my mothers caregiver and financial signator. **** a customer service manager spoke to me as if he was being ripped off by my mother and ***** insisted on rapid overtaking and condescending apologies. Very odd interaction with this guy. Avoid this company at all costs.

      **************** has gone downhill dramatically in the last few years. I just purchased a new phone thru them. I told the rep I wanted to order a new charger because the one I currently have might not fit. What she sent me was a cord--nothing more. No way to plug the cord into the wall. I had to make one phone call to find out I didn't have what I needed, and I had to order it myself through Amazon. Then I read instructions that tell me to insert a sim card, but no sim card was included. I have to call again to find out there is NO physical sim card, it has an e-sim, but nobody sent me the link to the ** code to activate that. So then they have to send that out. I call again to complain about how this was handled, and I get a rude SOB on the phone who talks down to me and tells me it's written on the box that there is no charger AS BIG AS LIFE. Guess what, you moron? I don't need to read it when I open the box, I NEED TO KNOW IN ADVANCE THAT I HAVE TO ORDER IT. Finally, I call to register a complaint about all of this mess, and I get a supervisor who insists that the person who set up my order told me what I needed to know. Excuse me, NO, SHE DID NOT. She never told me that she was sending ONLY a cord, and not the piece it's inserted into it that plugs into the wall in order to actually charge your phone. The supervisor also spoke down to me, as if I was supposed to automatically understand what her employees were saying even tho I have no idea what their verbiage means. She then made it even worse by telling me she can send me a different phone that has what I need. ***, hey, dum dum, I have been telling you all along that I already ordered the charging pieces from Amazon, NOW THAT I KNOW I NEED THEM. If you idiots had told me that to begin with, I could have placed the order immediately as soon as my phone was ordered. I told her that all she accomplished was upsetting me more, and now I'm going to call around and get pricing from other carriers. GOODBYE!!!
