      Disgusting phone service. AARP should be ashamed of themselves. Took a trip in the phone's wouldn't work half of the places we went. We paid 2 months and advance before we left, Before that month was up, we canceled our service. Then I sent a bill for $68, Which we absolutely did not owe them. HAD to pay just to get rid of them...I would not recommend consumer cellular to anyone. The cost just keeps going up-and-up. For terrible service. They just seem to want to take advantage of the older generation.

      Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. Consumer Cellular bills in arrears for monthly services and usage, much like a utility company. We are not a prepaid provider; service is month to month. When an account is closed, there is always a final bill for service through the cancellation date. If you need additional assistance, our US based customer service is always happy to help.

      When trying to switch to consumer cellular they were unable to activate my phone. They kept telling me I created a pin number which I did not. They couldn't even locate the phone they sent me in their system. I provided them the number from the new phone, think it's called the **** number. Then I was told I would have to go to target to have it activated. As a disabled person this was very difficult for me. Will probably cancel this service next month.

      ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Tried to help my 96 year old father with his phone and contract They refused to help for TWO years FINALLY got the contract cancelled I can't imagine what this scam business will try when he passes.DISGUSTING

      They ripped off my 80yo mother for $60! She bought the phone, returned the next day and CC has avoided action to correct the issue at every turn. They have disconnected my call five times in three days, dug up new barriers to move forward twice and now they insist I send them documents establishing that I am my mothers caregiver and financial signator. **** a customer service manager spoke to me as if he was being ripped off by my mother and ***** insisted on rapid overtaking and condescending apologies. Very odd interaction with this guy. Avoid this company at all costs.

      **************** has gone downhill dramatically in the last few years. I just purchased a new phone thru them. I told the rep I wanted to order a new charger because the one I currently have might not fit. What she sent me was a cord--nothing more. No way to plug the cord into the wall. I had to make one phone call to find out I didn't have what I needed, and I had to order it myself through Amazon. Then I read instructions that tell me to insert a sim card, but no sim card was included. I have to call again to find out there is NO physical sim card, it has an e-sim, but nobody sent me the link to the ** code to activate that. So then they have to send that out. I call again to complain about how this was handled, and I get a rude SOB on the phone who talks down to me and tells me it's written on the box that there is no charger AS BIG AS LIFE. Guess what, you moron? I don't need to read it when I open the box, I NEED TO KNOW IN ADVANCE THAT I HAVE TO ORDER IT. Finally, I call to register a complaint about all of this mess, and I get a supervisor who insists that the person who set up my order told me what I needed to know. Excuse me, NO, SHE DID NOT. She never told me that she was sending ONLY a cord, and not the piece it's inserted into it that plugs into the wall in order to actually charge your phone. The supervisor also spoke down to me, as if I was supposed to automatically understand what her employees were saying even tho I have no idea what their verbiage means. She then made it even worse by telling me she can send me a different phone that has what I need. ***, hey, dum dum, I have been telling you all along that I already ordered the charging pieces from Amazon, NOW THAT I KNOW I NEED THEM. If you idiots had told me that to begin with, I could have placed the order immediately as soon as my phone was ordered. I told her that all she accomplished was upsetting me more, and now I'm going to call around and get pricing from other carriers. GOODBYE!!!

      Your rep service in some location *****. My phone died, so I attempted to contact Target in ************** **** I called 13 times with no answer. I called customer service for **********************. She says, they don't service anymore, you need to go to ***********, **** Called 6 times, no answer. I heading on a trip to **. Stopped at **************************. The response, I am not trained for Consumer Cell. You have to go to Target in ********. It just so happen I was in the vicinity of Target in **********, They deserve a raise. Yes it cost me a new phone, but they could transfer all my contacts. The next time I have issues with my phone I will be going with someone close..

      I have been paying for insurance on my cell phone through Consumer Cellular for about 3 years now and they happily have taken my money, unfortunately they don't actual provide coverage. I have been without a phone for a week. I am still receiving invoices though. Hour upon hour of hold times and cyclical conversations with both CC and Square Trade to no avail. I've been promised and told 24hrs and we'll have an answer 48 hours and we'll have an answer...All lies. Do yourself a favor if your looking for a cell provider and skip right past CC they are crooks who are unwilling to provide the service they promise. Hilariously I have to confirm my review through e-mail as I can't receive a text on a broken phone.

      In turn Consumer Cellular responded with more lies to the BBB. If they were in fact truly working on and/or cared about their consumers they would have resolved it almost immediately by sending me the new phone I am owed per our contract. or perhaps allowed me to have it repaired at my *************** and More store a licensed, qualified and certified Square Trade repair center. I have that information due to having spoken with the manager at my local branch whom and I quote said, "yeah we deal with Square Trade all the time. Sorry for your luck they are awful." Nothing but more lies and yet again another empty promise.

      I have been a customer for 4 years of this company. Making on time auto payments every month. I tried to make a request for new phones. I got an easy pay plan agreement made about our chasing new phones. Money went thru now there backing outta my contract stating I had 1 late payment made. But the previous worker told me I had several payments late to them on auto pay!! Nobody will abide by the contracts made up so I'm gonna take these people to court now. 4 years of service. Paid off 5 phones woth them. Never again. Worst phone service ever and not only they barely speaking English. If I could give negative stars I'd Give -10 stars. Keep your money folks. There scammers then hang up on you.
