Bought a "like new" microwave from their Uniontown location. The box was so heavily taped, I made the mistake of not inspecting it on their floor. Get it home. It doesn't work. Call a small appliance repairman, and he says the item is shot. Bad board. Would be cheaper to buy a new one than to fix it. His bill with the cost of the auction was greater than a new one. I contact Mac Bid, and they tell me they're sorry, but they don't check electronics to see if they work. I should have inspected it and bought insurance. Essentially telling me "Gotcha sucker." Beware of this auction house. They hide the damages of their goods and wipe their hands of it once you walk out the door. The microwave even had a dent on the side, which was not mentioned in the product description, but the microwave's manual states any external damage likely will ruin the delicate insides. Mac Bid labeled it "like new" not "open box" not "damaged." They claimed it was "like new." Clearly it should have been scrapped after being returned to the original seller, but *** pulled this thing out of a landfill, tells me it's good as new, and scoffs when they run off with my money. Liars and thieves. Just go buy your stuff when it goes on sale somewhere. This place isn't worth the risk for anything other than maybe things which can't be damaged, like perhaps dumbbells. If they can hide some flaws to scam someone, they will, and they'll say it's your fault afterwards.M@C Discount

When customers are registering to ***********, they are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Those terms and conditions can easily be referenced at **************************************** will cite the "Open Box' and "Like New' condition codes here.2.10.2 Open Box Open Box items were sold by a retailer, and potentially used before being returned by the customer. Open Box items may be damaged or have an opened box with missing pieces, so unless the condition of a specific item is explicitly stated, User should not make any assumptions about it other than that it may be ripped, scratched, non-functional or otherwise damaged. All Open Box items are sold AS/IS. M@C makes all items available for inspection prior to bidding, it is the responsibility of the User to inspect all items before placing a bid on the Site.2.10.1 Like New - These are items that appear to be in a new condition or have never been used previously. These items are not tested for functionality or completeness -for items that are marked Like New a bidder must examine the item thoroughly when claiming (pick-up) the item. If the item does not appear new or unused or if there is an issue, the bidder MUST report this to M@C prior to leaving the premises. Once the bidder has left the premises with the item, M@C cannot issue any Refund for issues arising with the item. M@C may offer credit on future purchases for all Like New items with discovered defects, not including buyer remorse.Customers are always more than welcome to inspect many of our items before they place their bid. We actually encourage inspection before a bid is placed. We do offer the **************** for many of our items as well. I will paste the ***************** terms for reference. ****. **************** - A User may elect to purchase **************** for any individual item in the auction. This purchase is elected at the time the bid is placed in the auction. The cost varies based on the product characteristics. The **************** product allows the User to return the Item, for which the product was purchased, within 5 Business Days following the date the Item was picked up. This return is treated as a **************** return, and a reason is not required to process the refund. The **************** fee will not be refunded.If customers ever believe an item is not congruent to the listing, they can bring it in for a Manager Review. A manager would review the item and then compare it to the listing to see if a refund would be warranted. Customers always have 30 days from the close of the auction to ask for a review. Reviews are at the complete discretion of the manager. Auction liquidation is very much a learning experience and it isn't always for everyone. The girls running the customer service are RUDE! don't disagree with them or they will cut you off and ban you for life. Insane. You can never speak with any manager. They are all rude disrespectful girls.M@C Discount

We soundly reject these accusations levied by this individual. They called in and immediately started being rude and nasty with the customer service representative at the time. This was all over not being able to pull items from abandonment. Abandonment had always been a part of our terms and conditions, in which this customer agreed to when they registered to ***********. As a macbid shopper, well let me just tell you the story. I recently became single, and I dedicate some time to myself to do the things I love so I decided to do a macbid drive where I win items on macdiscount then I would take a day and drive to about five of them. It takes several hours and 100s of miles but the time doing it has mentally and physically helped me heal. Now I am not saying shopping is what it takes, this has just been my healing journey experience. Plus, I get several things that I need, want, or just maybe believe I need at a discounted rate. At the end my day it has been about me listening to music, podcasts, or just driving in silent. It may not be for everyone but thank you Macbid for coming into my existence at the right time.M@C Discount

************ - I think the ********** location is great. The people are friendly and HELPFUL starting with **** and all thru the warehouse helpers. My buys have been good deals so far. The only problem I've had is with transfers and that's probably cause I don't know the ropes quiet yet. But even customer service helped me out of that jam. And it's fun to bid!!M@C Discount

This is the WORST business and needs to be shut down!We have bought several items from here-- and they have all been horrible. For example, they sold us a chair that doesn't have a seat! The other items have been broken or extremely different than their advertisement. In fact, by the time you add the insurance and other fees you end up paying more than you would on Amazon. Their website continues to break and send messages that do not make sense.When my husband returned one item, the staff treated him horribly and multiple times said racist things to him. He was extremely embarrassed and upset and it still impacts him. I hope BBB looks into them before more people lose their money or are treated negatively based on the color of their skin.M@C Discount

The **************** fee will not be refunded.This is our response to the claim of racism:After further investigation by us and the General Manager of the ******** warehouse, who is half African American in ethnicity, this is what was concluded.The day that her husband brought the chair back to try and returned, he was denied by the removal lead. He then got heated and in an exchange with the check in lady, he told her " F*ck You." The check in lady did report to management.The General Manager also reviewed cameras on the day her husband came back into the warehouse. He was able to find the time frame when her husband was present. It is shown that her husband spoke to the removal lead for about 6 minutes or so and then the removal lead went to get the General Manager. When the removal lead left, it is shown on camera her husband had left the building by himself. The camera does not show anyone escorting him or even speaking to him as he was leaving. Aside from the evidence, we are still very sorry the customers feel this way. We do wish them the best on their future endeavors.Review fromTony R
