I don't think I'll bid anymore. Some items I bid on had an extra $20-30.00 added up in fees. I did read the information page and knew they would be added. But they don't tell you how much they could be. Then you get the shock when you see your credit card or look at your history...was good for awhile but they lost me..and I'm sure others will follow

All of the fees are listed in our terms and conditions and on the 3rd tabulated page of each auction listing. That tab is titled "Auction Info." The fees we charged are standard across all auction formats. We always stress to our customers to bid accordingly. If a customer ever has any questions they can reach out to our customer service department. **************** is available Monday through Friday 10am-6pm. Thank you.

Auction liquidation is very different from regular retail. We list in out terms and conditions how we operate, and how customers should handle the auction liquidation experience to make said experience a good one. Our terms and conditions, which customers agree to when registering to bid, can easily be found at https://******************************. This customer is leaving out two very key details. When they registered to bid with us, agreeing to the terms and conditions, they agreed to 2.3. Exclusion of Users & Rejection or Amendment of Bids. 2.3. Exclusion of Users & Rejection or Amendment of Bids - Without limitation to any other remedies, M@C may exclude any User from any Auction and block any registration if the User has breached or threatens to breach these Terms and Conditions or engages in any behavior which M@C in its sole discretion regards as likely to have an adverse effect on the conduct of the Auction or the reputation of M@C. Furthermore, M@C reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to exclude products from offers and refuse acceptances, bids or offers, as well as to discontinue Auctions or its Services altogether at any time or for any reason. This customer also left out that potential bidders are allowed to come in and inspect many of our items before their bid is placed. This would alleviate the cost of the Buyer's Assurance. Auction liquidation isn't always for everyone. If our terms and conditions are followed, auction liquidation can be a great thing for many. Thank you.

How hard is it to plug a item into an outlet to see if it even works?

As an auction liquidator, M@C Discount runs auction on items that were returned to big box retailers for any reason. When a customer registers to ***********, they are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Those terms and conditions can easily be referenced at ****************************************** scan teams scan through thousands of items per auction day. With this being said, we do allow for item inspection before a bid is placed for many of the items we auction off. We also offer the ***************** on many items as well. ****. ****************** A User may elect to purchase **************** for any individual item in the auction. This purchase is elected at the time the bid is placed in the auction. The cost varies based on the product characteristics. The **************** product allows the User to return the Item, for which the product was purchased, within 5 Business Days following the date the Item was picked up. This return is treated as a **************** return, and a reason is not required to process the refund. The **************** fee will not be refunded. If our terms and conditions are followed, auction liquidation can be a great thing for many people. Thank you.

I left a factual (but in their words "bad") review and they banned my account. I realize they have the right to choose who they want to do business with. However, their reason is appalling.

      M@C Discount

      Date: 02/20/2023

We believe any one would say a 1-star review is a "bad" review. The customer is correct, a private business can decide on who they want to do business with. In her review, the customer stated they were not compensated for time and gas due to an item being broken while being moved. It is per company policy that if we make a mistake, we compensate by giving a full refund. In this case we did just that. In regards to the time and gas, is it impossible to break down the dollar amount spent on gas to and from. It is also very impossible to determine what a persons time is "worth." We do not know of any company that compensates for time and gas when an item is retuned to the store. It is typically standard practice a full refund is issued. We are sorry the customer feels this way, and we did take corrective action per company policy. We do wish them the best in their future endeavors. Thank you.

We have purchased quite a few items from this company and at first, I was pretty impressed with the quality of goods for the price and knowing they were returns, but after about a month, the quality really took a turn. Things are not accurately described. We have no issue trying to repair some light damage or owning something second hand, but a lot of our recent purchases just stated "open box" and were missing several important parts, were HEAVILY USED, or SEVERELY damaged. A few of the items were so damaged that they never even made it into the house. We took them right out to the trash. Buying and reselling return items is huge trend right now, and we have purchased items from several similar companies, but this one is the biggest ****** of all the companies we've used. They do encourage customers to come inspect items and offer buyers insurance for items you are unsure of, but those are both extra expenses and still doesn't address the issue that many of the listings that claim open box should clearly be listed as damaged. We've since moved on to other companies that take the extra time to more accurately describe the items their auctioning off.

M@c bid sold me a half recliner chair. Box 2 of 2, also a open box Air fryer. Damaged but did not say Damaged, wrapped in Florida today news paper dated August 3, 2022. I got this last week February 7th 2023. Greasy, instructions greasy. Dent on side all the products with grease. It s stated open box. It did not come, in its original box. Some one should put a stop to them selling used products like this when we have all these viruses out here. I have photos. I spent a lot with them. Some were opened in original box in very good condition. This Air fryer do not work. I live in Akron, it was wrapped in Florida paper.

As an auction liquidator, M@C Discount runs auctions on items that were returned to big box retailers for any reason. When customers register to bid with us, they are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Those terms and conditions can be referenced at https://******************************. This customer is not shedding a fair light on auction liquidation and how M@C Discount operates. Many of our items are readily available to be inspected before a customer places their bid. If a customer is not able to inspect an item, they can look into adding the Buyer's Assurance to that item. I will paste the Buyer's Assurance policy for reference. 2.16. Buyers Assurance - A User may elect to purchase “Buyers Assurance” for any individual item in the auction. This purchase is elected at the time the bid is placed in the auction. The cost varies based on the product characteristics. The Buyers Assurance product allows the User to return the Item, for which the product was purchased, within 5 Business Days following the date the Item was picked up. This return is treated as a Buyers Assurance return, and a reason is not required to process the refund. The Buyers Assurance fee will not be refunded. Majority of out items are under the condition code "Open Box." I will paste that policy point for reference as well. 2.10.2 Open Box – Open Box items were sold by a retailer, and potentially used before being returned by the customer. Open Box items may be damaged or have an opened box with missing pieces, so unless the condition of a specific item is explicitly stated, User should not make any assumptions about it other than that it may be ripped, scratched, non-functional or otherwise damaged. All Open Box items are sold AS/IS. M@C makes all items available for inspection prior to bidding, it is the responsibility of the User to inspect all items before placing a bid on the Site. We are sorry the customer feels this way, but we do try to accommodate customers as best we can per our policy. Auction liquidation is a learning curve for everyone starting out. If the terms and conditions are followed though, it can be a great thing for many people. Thank you.
