Overall I am always pleased with my bid! I have learned to figure the most I will payenter that bid and wait to see if I won.I have been bidding for close to 2 years now. I have gotten some good buys. They usually list in description side that if it is electric they plug in to make sure it powers on. Always used to mark if something was damaged and it would alert me to go check it out. This is always worked out well for me.Today, was a different story. I went to pick up a Cuisinart for slice waffle iron and a tortilla Baker. Neither description had anything on it, but it was damaged. Didnt empire on or anything like that. The pictures made it look like they were in the original packaging which they were. However, I got the waffle maker home to find out that the bottom which is made a plastic cracked and busted out and several places, including the part where the power goes into the unit. Really really disappointed because like I said it wasnt described as damaged. So I spent $23 on that and got nothing. And then the tortilla Baker I was so excited to see that I did get a really good deal. It was three dollars however as perfect as it looks, it doesnt even power on. Like I said before they always used to say that it powers on. If its electrically plug it in and make sure the power goes on. Well somebody missed this one. So I am disappointed I have two weights here at my house with nothing to do with them and Im gonna be the one that has to dispose of them whereas Couldve disposed of these damaged items on their own. On another note, I picked up two twin sheets sets today got a really good deal on those and theyre absolutely perfect. And this is something that I typically see everythings perfect. I have only had a couple things that were damaged and again I didnt go up to look at them. Its like a half a ride each way to go inspect something and price of gas he gets kind of pricey so I kinda take the gamble. Im too cheap to pay the insuranceM@C Discount

********* Mac.Bid is the worse. I bought a hose reel got it hime stood it up it's lopsided. The one wheel is broken off. Wasn't showing damage in pictures nor did he say it was damaged. Took it back they would not refund my money. The rep said we only list as damaged if it can't be used for its intent. We'll the purpose of wheels is that it can move.M@C Discount

If I could give Them a big 0 I would. First of all you can't take people money and keep the merchant even though they didn't pick it up on the deadline post. I understand a restock fee if any but to keep both are you out of your mind. People now days are so greedy that they don't care about anyone or anything that deals with customer service. I think this place is a joke. Didn't know they get second hand stuff that people actually returned. If I'm going to do that I will go to a yard sale. You will not I repeat will not get anymore or any money from me. You should be shut down.M@C Discount

As an auction liquidator, MAC.BID runs auctions on items that were returned to Big Box retailers for any reason. When customers are registering to bid with us, they are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Those terms and conditions can easily be referenced at ********************************** will cite our "Item Removal" policy here for reference.2.8. Item Removal - The User is required to pick-up all items purchased by the removal time set forth in the specific auction. All removal shall be at the expense, liability and risk of the User. If the User does not pick-up an item within the removal period for the specific auction, MAC may, at their sole discretion, deem the item to have been Abandoned by the User and the User will have no further rights with respect to the item. If items are not removed by the removal deadline, User is liable for all removal and disposal costs associated with disposing of the assets that were not removed. As long as an item is not a previous hold or transfer, customers are able to purchase a hold for items as well. I will cite that policy as well.2.14. Transfers and Holds - A User may elect to have an eligible item transferred to a MAC physical location other than the original location or placed on Hold in the original location. If an item is eligible for a transfer, the User is required to pay a fee (as stated on MAC) for the item to be transferred. Each item can be transferred within a specific District but may not be transferred to auction facilities in other Districts. Hold fees will vary depending upon the size and type of auction. Items that are listed as non-Transferrable will have a Hold fee as described on MAC. Items that are eligible for Transfer will have a Hold fee as described on MAC. This fee will be disclosed on the Site, may be changed at the sole discretion of MAC and must be paid prior to the Transfer or Hold. The Removal Deadline will be adjusted for all items that have been Transferred or placed on Hold as follows:2.14.1 Transfers - Once the Transferred Item arrives at the final destination an email will be sent to the User announcing the item is available for pick-up. Additionally the status will change on the item on the Site to Awaiting Pickup. From this time the User will have 5 business days to remove the item. If the item is not removed in 5 business days the item may be considered Abandoned as provided under Section 2.8.2.14.2 Holds - Once the Hold fee has been paid, the User will have 5 business days beyond the original removal deadline to remove the item. If the item is not removed in 5 business days the item may be considered Abandoned as provided under Section 2.8. NOTE - Transferred items cannot be held beyond the 5 business days afforded for Transfers, even if you are a member of the Buyers Club.We are very sorry the customer feels this way. There were options available to the customer, including someone else picking up for the customer. We do wish them the best moving forward.Review fromKiwi M

We are not 100% sure as to where this customer is getting the $71. 13 figured? We only see a charge of $11.59 on her account. The item in question is an AMAZON BASICS DURABLE FOLDABLE METAL WIRE DOG CRATE. It also looks like we explained this to them via email. Thank you.Review fromPatrick V

I have been highly upset about the actions of M@c discount. My wife who was spending a lot of money with this company, she was also a member paying a monthly fee. She had never missed a single payment on her account. A couple times she missed a pick up deadline but never a payment. A couple of times she paid for an uncle's invoice because he didn't have money. She was what I would consider a perfect customer. One day she can't sign into her account. They claimed she had unpaid invoices but this was very untrue because anything she won was automatically paid and money was always in the bank. After a month of back and forth emails trying to get to the bottom of it they came out and said her card had been used on an account that had unpaid invoices. Because she paid her uncle's invoice months before and he ended up not paying for one which had nothing to do with her. This company suspended her indefinitely. This is like discrimination or something. The absolute most ridiculous act I've ever heard from any business. They are fortunate they get products for next to nothing because any business that treats a perfect customer/member like this would never succeed otherwise. After attempting to shop at the **********, ** location several times, I could not wait the several hours it would take to make it through the line due to mine and my sons disabilities. I called customer service after leaving the store today, Aug 5th, to request a reasonable accommodation. Before allowing me to even ask for the specific accommodation, the representative told me I had to wait in line like everyone else and that the *** does not require any accommodations aside from my physical entrance into the public store. I told her that was incorrect and she continued to insist no accommodation would be made. She then offered for me to buy a membership that would allow me to enter sooner and drastically reduce my wait time. I told her that it was illegal to charge me for an accommodation citing the PA law that states: A public accommodation may not impose a surcharge on a particular individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the costs necessary to provide nondiscriminatory treatment. After requesting her name, and the contact information for corporate because my rights were being violated, she read me the physical address, provided no phone number, refused to give me her name and hung up on me. The call was placed at 2:17PM on 8/5/24 and hopefully is recorded. I would like to made a second request for a reasonable accommodation as I have already lost money by having to leave items at the store due to not being able to stay and wait.M@C Discount

The Big Box side of our Washington warehouse is assisted removal. A select amount of warehouses do run as assisted removal. This is to help mitigate the risk of theft. This also helps ensure the customer receives the correct item and it also helps us keep our fees as low as possible. Our ****************** warehouse does have a seated waiting area for customers that are waiting on our items to be brought to them. All of our warehouses do make every accommodation that is required to keep us current with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We do recommend that our customers do purchase one of our memberships for early access. This would be beneficial to anyone who is looking to avoid the rush of people during active business hours. Thank you.Patricia M

I purchased the $10/mo membership in fear of losing the items I purchased after already losing 1 item previously. So I am now paying for an accommodation which is what you are suggesting. Can you confirm that you would like me to pay for this accommodation? Also, I have to wait in the air conditioning due to my body not having correct temperature regulation. A reasonable accommodation would be to allow me to wait in my car that is temperature controlled and for someone to send me a text or give me a call when my item is ready. I will still wait the same amount of time as others, but do require this accommodation to be able to shop at your store. Would you honor this reasonable accommodation?Review fromCasey T

A friend told us about mac bids and we've told multiple other friends about it! It's become my husband new favorite hobby!Keep in mind, these r returns from big box stores. Review pictures carefully, read descriptions, and go preview the item if you have questions. Sometimes u get a great item, and very seldom- we get something old and crappy that was returned. This is the risk you take. I suggest if buying larger priced items, you pay for the extra coverage.I highly recommend!!!M@C Discount

I just had my first and last transaction with MacBid. I won a small kitchen appliance yesterday and picked it up today. I live a little over an hour from the warehouse so I didn't go to inspect the item before bidding. I opened the box and the thing was nasty. I figured I would spend a little while cleaning it up and still be ok with it. I plug it in and find that it doesn't work. I had never bought anything through MacBid but thought that what I bought would at least work. Boy was I wrong. MacBid doesn't accept returns unless you buy an insurance policy from them before completing the transaction. I know MacBid will post their normal response to this complaint but that doesn't make me feel any better about them. I am out close to $100 with the item cost and gas to pick it up plus 2 1/2 hours of my time. No one at MacBid cares. I realize that this is partially my fault but I would expect any business to stand behind anything they sell. Judging by the comments posted here, a big percent of the items they sell does not work.M@C Discount
