Enrolled in the jgwentworth consolidation program. Now have 2 judgements against me from being ***d by one of the creditors who I had borrowed the most from. The Jgwentworth team was NOT transparent or honest. They parotid all the talking points to get you to take the bait. Had they been honest they would have said, "We been doing this for decades, and this specific creditor is likely to *** you. We know because out of THOUSANDS of people, you're not the first client who has enrolled a large amount of debt in to our program from this specific creditor." When jgwentworth is respectfully confronted on their lack of transparency, they ACT so ignorant and innocent. Like I know jgwentworth isn'***************, quit pretending like you didn't drop the ball and s**** me over. And now my payments have doubled because of the lawsuit. They lied about several other things. They do not care about actually helping you receive what they told you to pay them for. But boy they care about getting their fees.

Jgw has not reached out to me except to now almost triple my payments. They have resources to do partial loans to help lower the payment plans for clients who have been faithful and loyal to them never missing a payment. But they have opted to back me in a corner and triple my payments and send me in to a financial crisis. Financial crisis is the only option they have given me. Upon enrolling they said I would be paying them affordable payments and they would get my creditors paid. Instead creditors are suing me and my payments are trippled

I don't want to give any stars. This company has basically ruined my credit and my life. This JGWENTWORTH lies they don't pay your bills. Told me to stop accepting creditors calls. In order not to be bothered. Not knowing they didn't want me to know they weren't paying. Said I have to go into default first. I found out they were only paying one of my creditors. When I called to question, they claimed that all my $ was being placed in a special fund. I canceled due to being lied to. Ask them to return my money and they sent me $241.00 after I have been paying $355.00 a month for 6 months. They claimed that there fees are taken per payment. I have never had anything done to me like this. I am sure this review won't be posted, it's ok because I will never trust anyone again. I pray that no one has to get tricked into this company. Oh yes my bank advised me that they only deal with JGWENTWORTH'S attorney's. I never had to deal with attorney's and if you lose your in trouble. They can seize you're bank account, and file a judgement against you. Which is worst then filing bankruptcy. Just to think you can get a judgement from trying to trust JGWENTWORTH to help pay your bills. This company is horrible. Please, Please never deal with this company. K.C

The only issue I have is the amount of time it's taking but I probably just misunderstood. Also, my credit rating is taking more of a hit than I thought it would. I was told not to make any payments and to not answer calls but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. However it seems like the ball is rolling now so all is good. Thank you.

Maybe I dont understand how this worked? When we signed up it was a now or never deal. What I dont understand is the amount of all my finances is now being paid to JGW and it includes all the interest on credit cards and personal loans. How does this save me money or does JGW use that as their fee

JGW has caused a further decline in my credit in addition to creating a CHARGED OFF account, which is a seven year detrement to my credit history. JGW are sweet talking scam artists. I was t even late.on one payment when I signed up for their service to consolidate my payments. They must have seen me coming a mile a way and suckered me in. They took advantage of an older person. TRAGIC. WHY would they sell an account that wasn't late to someone, which caused a charged off account on my credit report. I will be consulting an attorney. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY. Your accounts become increasing delinquent so that creditors will take any type of settlement, they offer and your credit rating is ruined. I am now losing sleep over how I have been scammed. They NEVER told me my accounts would be charged off. Why would or should I be paying for their service?? I still have not received my can cancellation paperwork and I imagine it is because they are trying to calculate how much I owe the in fees and charges. As I said before, now I need to contact an attorney and spend additional money on JG Wentworth that was supposed to help me. They need to reverse the charge-offon my credit report immediately!!

JGW is doing everything that they said they would. I don't have to deal with the creditors, and they are quickly resolving my situation.

JGW's broker. ****, promised an advance of $40K quicky for a large purchase. I told JGW that I ONLY WANTED TO DO THE TRANSACTION IF I COULD GET A LARGE ADVANCE WITHIN 2 WEEKS. They said they understood and that the large advance wouldn't be a problem. They sent $14K after 3+ weeks which wasn't enough to meet my needs. I never would have entered into the arrangement if not for JGW's deception. I told them I was going out on a limb because they told me they would give me the money, which is why I took out a high interest loan assuming it would be paid off in 2 weeks or less with the $40K advance but they never sent the $40K advance. I have been losing money in huge sums weekly since. I am stressed and at extreme financial risk because JGW enticed me to sell payments under false pretenses. Now, it's 2 1/2 months later and i still don't have the money. I have no idea how I will recover from the losses caused by their lies. I am now looking to hire an attorney to help me get the funds from JGW, which will cost more money. I will likely have to *** them for not sending what they promised. I hope a lawyer will help me get what is owed and lost via deception. Do not believe them no matter what they tell you. They will say anything to take people's annuities. Their fees are way too high. It is absolutely all loss without enough gain. Remember, I still don't have my funding and it's been over 2 1/2 months! When I sought help from ****'s boss, ****, he instantly became rude and hostile. He asked me to send him texts of a conversation I had with ****, so I did, and he then was angry I sent the texts. He asked me to quit texting him. I said, "You asked me to text you the conversation with ****." I don't trust them and have nothing but regret for engaging this company. Truly an awful experience that never seems to end.

I ran into JG Wentworth when I was trying to find a source for a consoliation loan. Within five minutes of starting the search, these guys were calling and emailing me. The only company I ran into that was more aggressive was NDR. They gave a big speech and sale on how they don't collect any fees unless there's a settlement and at the end - and conveniently fail to get into all the little nickle and dime fees they hit you with to "open" the account. I guess **** in the back room has to buy folders to keep your files in? Not to mention they really gloss over the fact that the recommendation is to stop paying your bills - which leads to fees and interest piling up faster than they were before. Which means their estimates are thrown off, because they're based on where you started. Between that and the 25% bounty they collect, I don't know how often you actually end up saving all that much with these guys. I only got a few weeks in before I spoke with an attorney about Chapter 13 and seeing about paying off 100% of the principle without the interest I was drowning in, which was the whole point all along. I notified JG Wentworth that I was going to cancel - and the people who were breathing down my neck the SECOND they got my contact information and had contracts for me to sign within MINUTES are now telling me it'll take a good week or two for them to "process" my cancellation. I get the idea of limited options and beggars not being choosers - but I wouldn't suggest anyone fool around with these guys. Not without talking to people who aren't looking to score a sizeable bounty on getting you to sign with them. And don't talk to other settlement companies about each other - they'll all pretend they have to be professional while pointing out all the insane problems inherent to the program they're trying to sell you on.

If you give them your information once, they will contact you FOREVER. I have asked them to stop calling me and to stop sending mail and email, but they DONT STOP. They are like aggressive vultures.

Im not happy that other people have been swindled by these jokers. However, its comforting that Im not just imagining it. My mothers account manager, along with two customer service team members (in name only), and even the complaints department (complaint@jgwentworth), have all ignored my emails containing indisputable evidence that funds sent by the reputable annuity company to JG Wentworth shouldve been transferred to my mother. Instead, JG Wentworth deposited the check and failed to notify my mother. We only discovered this because I followed up with JG Wentworth. (By the way, I have power of attorney for my mother, so their lack of response is unjustifiable.)Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this unethical company. They are the company equivalent of a narcissist. Thank God I should be able to resolve this directly with the annuity company. For your financial security and sanity, I cannot stress enough how important it is to steer clear of JG Wentworth and their suspiciously positive reviews. The BBB website is not like ****** reviews; I question why the BBB allows such posts. I always thought the BBB was meant to help resolve disputes with companies who won't cooperate directly. JG Wentworth has even manipulated BBB reviews for their own benefit; BBB, where are the safeguards?I am willing to provide irrefutable proof of JG Wentworth's misconduct to the BBB or any relevant authority that can assist in resolving this matter.
