I order a Shimano curado fishing reel from them on 2/27. It delivered 2/28 order number ***********. I ha e neighbor video of a porch pirate taking it 2 minutes after it was delivered. I contacted dicks and Tommy was super nice and actually re-refilled my order for me I was so grateful to not be out 280$ come 2 days later the order canceled without even an email to tell me. Just behind the scenes. So I reach out. They refer me to a 3rd party company to explain why It got canceled. This 3rd party company is currently the recipient of a class action suit due to their practices, and im now put 280$ after the company originally stood behind their consumer and product. A 3rd party shady company swayed their stance. I want them to honor their original decision and send me my fishing reel they promised to fulfill after the mishapBusiness Response

Hello! So this started when I called the Dick's Sporting Goods in White Plains to ask 3 different employees over the phone if they had a Barkley jersey (Giants), that I wanted to buy as a gift for my boyfriend. I got transferred on the phone 3 times due to noncompliance of transferring me to the proper department. All 3 of them stated that they did not have the jersey in store. I then ordered the jersey on line to ensure that I would receive it by the right date. Once I saw the shipping time after I ordered the item, I decided to stop in the store regardless to check for the jersey myself (as the employees on the phone did not appear to even have looked for it). I went to the Dick's Sporting Goods in white plains and they had more than one of the jerseys in the size I was looking for --- SURPRISE SURPRISE! The employees must have never even looked due to laziness - shocking, I know. I decided to purchase the jersey in store since I needed it in time for my boyfriends gift. However, I already purchased the one on line. I gave my boyfriend the jersey that I purchased in store. I then received the jersey that I purchased on line in the upcoming days. I went into the store to return the extra jersey. Some little girl scanned my jersey in the front of the store and then said "swipe any card for return." So, I swiped my card. She said she could not give me a receipt but that the item was returned. Later on, when I checked my card, I realized that she had actually charged me again for the item. The next day, I went into Dicks and asked to speak to a manager with my 2 purchase receipts ready. They told me that I had to call Dicks customer service. I called and they said that I then had to call my bank because they could not take care of it. I called my bank to dispute the charge and they were not able to complete my dispute because I was not given a proper receipt. So, in turn, this is all coming down to NONCOMPLIANCE FROM DICKS SPORTING GOODS EMPLOYEES IN WHITE PLAINS.Business Response

I purchased an item at Dicks Sporting Goods using afterpay ( order #***********). On 2/9/23, I returned the order to the store at 6:33 pm. I called dicks customer service number to inquire about the adjustment to after-pay. I spoke to Shureeia, who informed me there is no record of the return and I should contact afterpay and go back to the store to explain my concerns. I reached out to afterpay and provided a copy of the receipt and was informed merchants have direct control over refunds, and my scheduled payments are still due by the due date. My husband went to the Dick's store in Canton Ohio to purchase a treadmill. During the transaction they asked him if he wanted to finance. They informed him it would only be a soft inquiry. They told him it failed and he purchased the item. Come to find out that the store used MY INFORMATION and ran a HARD check on my credit without my consent or permission simply because I had a store loyalty card with them. I want the hard inquiry REMOVED for two reasons - I did NOT give consent for them to run my information and even if my husband knew it was mine, he has no authority to have them run my credit. Secondly, even if it was OK, they informed him that it would NOT be a hard inquiry which was false.
I have filed a complaint through my credit company and they have refused to remove it as it is factually correct that my information was run.

My mother bought me Hokas for Christmas and my pair were defective. So I went back to the store to get an exchange. They did not have them in store, so they only offered me store credit in the form of a gift card. I went online to order them, and then they canceled the order. They will not honor the price I paid for a replacement, they will not refund me the money to my card nor my mothers. So now I’m stuck paying full price for an item that should have been in my hands months ago. And now I’m stuck with a useless gift card that I can’t use because they refuse to rectify the situation. My husband and I went in and purchased a treadmill on January 7th 2023. We got the treadmill on the second floor of our house, began setting it up and noticed that it was busted. The entire plastic piece that covers the motor had been ripped off and hot glued back on. There were several missing pieces. And one of the pieces on the sides were not connected as it should have been. I called about Dicks selling me a broken treadmill on January 12th. I explained that we had transported it upstairs and my husband had already hurt his back and asked if it could be picked up. I was told that there would be no issue and that the treadmill would be picked up and returned to the store and once this happens I could bring my receipt into the same store. The treadmill was picked up on January 25th with no issues. I went to the Ashland Kentucky Dicks, I didnt purchase the treadmill here so my bad, and they told me I had to go to the Dicks where I purchased the treadmill. I called that Dicks and was told that they did not have it and to keep checking. I then received an email from AIT (the delivery company) that said that my treadmill was on the way to Plainsfield,? . I have no idea where this is so immediately called Dicks and they referred me to my local dicks to address the issue. I explained I had no idea where this was and that it would be impossible to receive my refund if I would have to go to the store. I was told that this was their big warehouse sort of thing and that as soon as the treadmill was accepted into the system that I would be able to, again, visit my local dicks and get my refund. After waiting well over a week for this to happen, it showed as in the system so I called the local Dicks manager. She told me that she had been emailing back and forth and she was told that my credit card would be automatically refunded. This was a week ago. Still no refund.Business Response

I believe this is still a few dollars short but is just enough to be annoying. I try to use stores I can visit and actually converse with to make large purchases such as a treadmill but after going through this ordeal it will be difficult to not use online services such as ******.

I placed an order for my child on 11/28/2022 for a jersey he wanted,This was a Christmas gift . As the holidays got closer I contacted dicks to ask where is my gift. I was informed the order I placed was a pre order and I want get the jersey until February. I spoke with my child who was let down, he said he understood and would wait. Today 02/01 I’m blindsided with an email stating my order was canceled. I called customer service for an explanation I spoke to a rude supervisor who stated ,I should used the 10.00 off code found on your cancel email and that would make the situation better. No help
Now the bigger problem is the money was taken off a gift card. A gift card I no longer have in my possession, it was trashed because I used all the money off the card and discarded it. I would like for dicks to not put that money on a gift card and send me a check. This whole debacle is dicks fault. Bbb please help!!!Business Response
