The world's worst customer service. After realizing that Amerigas charged more than twice what a local competitor (Heller's) charged, I called to have the two Amerigas tanks picked up. That was in March. Now, in mid-September, after seven phone calls, the tanks are still there, as ugly as ever. I believe my only hope is go get a lawyer on this and sue these folks. Of course, some people may like to pay more than twice the going rate and hear lie after lie after lie from the customer experience advocates, If that's your position, Amerigas is right for you. So's a psychiatrist.

This has got to be the WORST company I have EVER dealt with. II have been an Amerigas customer for 32 years and wanted to have my delivery changed to will call instead of automatic and to change my phone number to eliminate and old land line. I called the local Redding, CA phone number and got a lady that was so slow it was incredible. It took over 15 minutes just to change my phone number then another 10 minutes to change to Will Call. I kept asking if I could speak to someone else and she said she was the only one there I could talk to, even though I could hear a many talking in the background.
I would never recommend this company for your propane needs and would never go with them again. They are BAD NEWS. We intend to cancel our service in the near future and would never recommend this company.

I closed my account with America gas and moved from the place I was renting that had their tank and now they have sent me to collection for $235 that I do not owe. This company has done this to my mother and a co-worker. For me to know that many people with the same complaint is outrageous!!!!

Worst company, worst service, worst response, worst follow-up ever. Sadly, I'm not alone and it looks like many people have all had the same terrible and frustrating experience. I can only hope that their propane plant blows up and they go out of business before they stick it to other people.

This is the worst company I have ever encountered with. We had them for propane and they charged almost double of what the other companies did. It took them forever to get their tank. I have not had them for over a year. And I got a bill from them for a tank lease I don’t have anymore. When I try to call they hang up or keep you on hold. Disrespectful, worst company ever

Your customer service sucks! Been trying to get gas delivered to our company for three days now with no luck. Every time you call you can't talk to someone that actually works there. You get an answering service that can barely speak English. I recommend firing the answering service before you lose all your customers. We're shopping for a new gas company now.

Worst company to do business with. The terms of condition is misleading.

I received a bill for $151.49 for tank rental. As I explained to customer no service that I can only use what they deliver to me as I am on auto fill. So it’s their fault I didn’t meet my supposed minimum. Still waiting on a call back. It’s a real shame that they treat the elderly this way but to treat a Vietnam Veteran in this manner is just that much worse. Our local propane company was bought out by America’s and they have over charged for propane on every delivery.

After using AmeriGas as my liquid propane provider for about thirty years, I decided to discontinue service with them, because their costs were so high. I called requesting their tank be removed from my property. First, they tried to charge me an extra year’s rental fee, even though the tank was removed before the end of my previous rental fee. They tried to say that even though the tank was removed before the end of the contract, I still owe the money. After much discussion, they did agree to drop the fee for next year‘s rental. However, throughout the entire discussion never once was I told I would be charged a removal fee. Then, six months later I got a bill for $159.99 for the removal of the tank. The location of my local America's outlet is less than 10 miles away from here, and removal required only one or two nuts to be removed. I called and questioned the cost, and the person on the phone simply told me repeatedly that the cost was in my service contract. I never signed a service contract, and have no recollection of ever receiving a copy of a service agreement. I could accept a nominal fee, because they had to drive to my home to remove the tank. However, it was their tank they were taking and I got the tank so long ago, I would’ve never guessed there would be a fee at all. I resent the fact that it appears I am being penalized for discontinue use of America’s as a provider. Interestingly , the removal fee was very close to the rental fee. It seems they were determined to get an end-of-service fee one way or another. Just one more example of unfair, hidden costs corporations pass on to unsuspecting customers! The one star rating is more than they deserve, but I must give them something in order to leave a review.
