We placed order online back in Oct. 2021. Keep in mind I prepaid for this back in May of 2021. I was at 40% but what to fill because of winter coming. Thankfully had mild winter. So June 2022 called for delivery at 30% which is when they said that when you are suppose to call. Then called back in Jul to setup prepaid for this yr then checked on delivery was to take block off my acct. on 8-1-22 called spoke to someone put me on hold after verifying acct info, she comes back tells me to call back computer problems (I think didn’t want to help me ) call different number same day customer service rep put me on hold after 30 min hung up called another number and told him service of first two he adv me block for nonpayment adv him no way they had 2k of my money and I am out of propane .8-9-22 call back adv no has return call still no delivery she adv put in notes to call and emergency service which means delivery in 24 hrs . 8-11-22 still no delivery called billing she still not helpful will send note that need delivery today.

They have no customer service. I have a complaint on price of propane which is $1.20 higher than Eastern propane 10 miles down the road and that was for 800 gallons. They will not respond to my complaint. I have called them 3 times and still waiting. They also delivered and left no documentation. Example of large companies gouging the small guy

Tried to call in a service order for getting a gas line ran to a new generator & found out I couldn't as the account was still in my late husbands name. Took over 2 weeks to get the account cancelled & changed to my name. Got THREE different email addresses from the "customer care" people to forward the death certificate. Kept giving me different numbers to call & they could never transfer me, just needed to call a different number. No matter what number I was given it rang back to the same customer care center overseas. After 2 weeks & more than a half a dozen calls, I figured out that if you asked for "sales" you could speak to someone who knew what to do. Alas, turned out only to be partially correct. Got the account set up & then I thought I successfully set up a service call to have the line installed to the new generator. Even called the day before to ensure i still had a service call set up. Nope. Amerigas showed up right on time but didn't have a service call. They came to top off the propane tank that didn't need it. This would be an excellent comedy bit for SNL but not so much when you're experiencing it. Horrible experience.

Had them as my propane supplier back in 2019-2020 for 2 yrs. Currently swithced to another compnay and called Amerigas i no longer will be doing business with them and to come puck up their tank. The tank sat in my driveway for a month and after they picked up the tank I received a bill for over $300 dollars ($149.99 for early cancel and $149.99 for tank pickup). I told her i NEVER would have agreed to go with them if I knew they would charge that and that was their terms and conditions. I asked her to send me a contract that I signed agreeing to those terms. I also told the women on the phone how over the two yrs i was with them I had ordered propane and NEVER received the propane and when i called back to find out where my propane order was they said THERE WAS NO ORDER!!! SERIOUSLY! THIS IS AN AWFUL company! The woman at Amerigas said the terms and conditions on thier website. When i went to the website under thier terms and conditions it says their terms and conditions are REVISED but doesn't say when (what date) they were revised. I called back and spoke with the women and asked her to confirm the date it was revised or a copy of my signed contract SHE REFUSED. I contacted legal counsel and they informed me to turn them into the BBB and Federal Trade commission for BAD BUSINESS practise. I have done both! This is BAD BUSSINESS practice! I will take this all the way to small claims court if I have too!

If I could choose negative stars I would. I became a customer 10 months ago because the house I purchased already had the tank installed. I have contacted Amerigas 3 times about the gauge on my tank malfunctioning. Two weeks ago I smelled gas and had a tech come out to check. I asked him to check the gauge again because it reads 50% all the time. They charged me $300 for an emergency visit and said the gauge was fine. Here I am 10 days later with no gas and the gauge is still at 50%. After calling to get someone out to fix it yet again, I have to wait a week and a half for someone to come and check it, AFTER I have already complained about this gauge many times. I am being told there is also a fee to have someone come out and check it. Are you kidding me? This has to be the worst customer service I have encountered in a long time. How dare you charge me for your malfunctioning equipment and inadequate service and yet I'm stuck with an empty tank and a useless gauge and waiting until you can arrive. Wonder how much that will cost.

Because of higher propane and tank rental I went another provider in September of 2021. I call Amerigas the first week of October to pickup their empty tank. I was told they don't pickup tanks over the winter and scheduled the pickup for April 8 2022. On April 8 they were a no-show so I called and was told the pickup was for August 8 2022. August 8th has come and gone. they owe me around $90.00 for credit on tank rental which they won't pay until they pick up the tank and close the account. I feel ten months is long enough even if the business is short staffed.

My experience with Amerigas has been bad. I never contracted with or chose Amerigas. They bought out the local gas company, never notified me of the takeover, and increased prices immediately after taking over.
I complained to a friend about heating gas being over $5.00 a gallon, and he told me he was only paying $3.89 per gallon from another distributor. Then, I received a Terms of Service ultimatum from Amerigas, that required me to give up my rights to them for continued service. I immediately called Amerigas and notified them that I did not agree with their terms of service and refuse to allow them to continue to sell me over priced gas. Amerigas insisted on taking the gas tank off my property. The gas tank was on the property when I bought it, and I paid the former gas company $500.00 for the tank in 2005.
Amerigas has since removed the tank, without my consent, and billed me $150.00 for removing it. If the tank was theirs, then it's not my responsibility to pay them for removing it. They wanted the tank, stole it as far as I'm concerned, and I will never pay them one penny for that.

Amerigas has charged me $1,592.63 for propane i never received. I have canceled my rental agreement and I have asked them to remove the tank. May, July and August I have been billed fpr propane I never received. . my tank is 120 lbs. July 29th I received a bill to remove the tank. Tank is still on my property. I live in Florida and I use propane to heat the Hot tub.in the winter. I will never use that much propane in my life. Calls to corporate office do not seem to work.

Absolutely horrible company. They placed my tank, I called for a refill and they refused to fill it because it was too close to an outside outlet!!! I changed companies three months ago and am still waiting for them to remove their tank, after multiple calls to them. Also waiting on my $300 refund check. Never ever use these people!!
