1 starHow do you own a storage facility and only put cameras in certain areas there's no night patrol or any type of security person patrolling the storage facilities when they are closed at night, and they are getting broken into at night in the areas where they no cameras. what was told the owners refuse to put in additional cameras.. is it an inside job to where they don't want cameras or what but people are losing merchandise personal merchandise in these places I have lost a few thousand dollars worth of stuff in an area that they told me was a secure area and it was not something needs to be done about this business to my understanding they should have some type of security system or some type of patrol officers patrolling the facility while they are closed to protect customers property I think this should be a lawsuit of some kind I'm pretty sure if you were still going to investigate get the names of the people lockers that has been broken into this thing can turn into a class action lawsuit against cube Smart storageReview fromKelsey S

1 starA Scam. I am greatly disappointed and frustrated at the corporate customer service of this company. My boyfriend and I reserved a unit on June 24th under the 4th of July Sale (sign on fee, first month free then 40% off) We were sent an email confirmation stating the total price at time of move in - by July 20th. We deliberately asked if the promo would be held until we needed the unit and were assured that it would as long as we signed the lease prior to July 20th (The end of our reservation timeframe). We went in to sign on July 16th and were told that the promo had expired despite having email confirmation. Not only that but they had increased the prices as well. We went from needing to pay $30 to $250 for one month of access. Along with this it was too short notice to change location as we needed to move into the unit in a few days. It would have been cheaper had we paid for the two months under the promo than one month of what we did pay but once again we were assured signing under the reservation period would allow us the promo price. Despite this, corporate has not honored what we were promised. I have been trying to get a refund for the last 2 weeks and so far we have not been called back, and the only people who tried to assist us were the online agents and the Store Manager. I would like to point out that the agents were as helpful as they could be but it was out of their hands, and the current **** Store manager also did all she could with the mess she was left with. This was a Corporate issue with not honoring not only the email confirmation of the reserved unit but also what was displayed on the website for the promo.Review fromAJ M

1 starIts currently 9am and theres no one to be seen in their office at the ***************************************************************. It would be nice if they could possibly open at the stated time that displays on their ****** business profile. When dealing with peoples personal property and livelihoods its always best to possibly practice being honest and doing what you say or is stated you will do.Review fromJustin J

1 starBEWARE Do Not Trust Them - ********************************************** & will raise the price quickly after you get in. I recently lost my father and moved a truck load of his tools and equipment into a CubeSmart storage unit in *******, **. Shortly after moving in, my storage unit was broken into, and I lost most many valuable and unreplaceable items. When the police inspected the CubeMart facility, there was only one camera and it wasnt working. With all of their storage units and they had no security coverage. The police were amazed at the lack of security. Despite me losing sentimental instruments that my father and grandfather used in their trade (many antiques), the CubeSmart employee showed no empathy and then tried to sell me a new lock. The facility employees look as though they were just pulled off the streets and they became irritated that they had to do additional paperwork and answer questions from the police. The District Manager, **** ****, was a joke. He did nothing to correct the situation, and CubeSmart raised the price of my unit right after the thief. When I asked why, he said demand is strong and the majority of units are rented, so they can raise the price and if someone cannot afford it, they can leave. **** said they can easily get someone in that can pay more. Extremely immoral, unprofessional and risky. Find a better place please!!!Review fromDiana P

1 starI paid a storage unit from 7/23/23 to 6/04/24. Paid every 6 months, total $1,281.58. Supposed one month free. At the end refunded one month. On Feb/24 I reported somebody stolen from my unit some items. On 6/04/24 I reported again the issue and the Manager on duty told me was my fault because I used a Master lock and are to easily to open. My concern is I need a code number to open the gateway and another code to open the building. And supposed not any way from the roof. Look like a inside job. ..now the customer service told I have only 24 hrs. to make the claim. I'm flying rush out of the estate for my brother's funeral. When I came back I started unpacked,my surprise I missed more expensive and brand new items total$3,428.86. I'm NOT recommended this company to anyone.Review fromDimitri H

2 starsI have never rented a storage unit in my life but this location was close by and relatively new so I tried it. I went to the place to get a better idea of what the units looked like. The woman didn't go into much detail on the process- only said to reserve it online and that I had to buy a lock separately if I wasn't using my own,The following week, I reserved the unit, paid for it and signed the contract online. I was supposed to get a welcome call but it never happened. I went buy the lock and the woman working that day said it was on the unit, a complete opposite of what the other employee told me. I loaded my stuff up to get to the unit and only found a zip tie on the lock. I didn't want to open it b/c I didn't know the lock was in a welcome bag on the inside. Had I known, I would've opened it. So instead I loaded my stuff back up in my car and went home. I didn't want my stuff in a unit if there wasn't a lock with it. Had they explained the process to me better (like they say explain it to me like I am 5), this would have been a much better experience.I went back the next day and the only guy working was someone from another location that was filling in so he wasn't familiar with that facility. However he showed me where the locks were, how they worked and a closer place that I could unload my stuff. At least there was someone that knew how to do their job. I guess 3rd time is the charm!
