This warranty is not worth the paper is was put on. You would expect the warranty you purchase to cover the item in full that is listed. Nope they will only pay for a fraction of the cost to replace the covered item and I would have to cover the rest. What they supposedly cover is a fraction of the cost. Might as well just say the consumer is responsible for the whole thing. **************** is very rude and act like they dont want to cover the part. Whats the point of covering the cost of the part that needs to be replaced if thats what I paid to have the warranty for. Definitely dont recommend this company everC.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review regarding mechanical claims and responds as follows:The *************** Contract (VSC) you purchased does not offer full coverage but is designed to offset the cost of covered mechanical repairs. CARS has reviewed your ****************** claim and can provide some insight into your out-of-pocket costs.Only one of the four (4) components requested by your repair facility is listed for coverage on your VSC; therefore, you are responsible for the full cost of repairing the remaining three (3) components. The labor rate on your VSC for a covered repair is up to $100.00 per hour and your chosen repair facility charges $150.00 per hour; therefore, you are responsible for the hourly difference. The mechanical claim is currently pending waiting for your decision on how to receive the part for the covered component. You have the option to have CARS ship CARS supplied part and assist with the labor or to take the claim allowance and use the repair facilitys supplied part. A major rip off will not cover repairs in hold. Only part when the contractor states that they will cover all. Only pays 75.00 labor. And doesn't use the labor chart provide by the industry. WARNING DO NOT VY THE PLANC.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

The Cars Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:Your *************** Contract (VSC) is not full bumper to bumper coverage; it is designed to offset the cost of covered mechanical repairs.Regarding the $75.00 per hour labor rate on your VSC, CARS currently offers VSCs with stated labor rates ranging from $60.00 per hour up to $225.00 per hour on covered repairs. CARS also offers VSCs that will cover any repair facilitys posted labor rate. Your VSC had two (2) options for labor rates, $75.00 per hour and $160.00 per hour, and you chose to purchase the $75.00 per hour labor rate; therefore, that is the maximum hourly amount CARS will assist with on a covered mechanical repair.The labor guide used to determine the number of labor hours that would be authorized for your repairs is a nationally recognized labor guide called ******** ProDemand.If you have any additional questions regarding your VSC, please call CARS customer service at ************ and a customer service representative will assist.Thank you for being a CARS customer.Sincerely,The ************************ laReview fromKarina K

The Cars Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:CARS is unsure what you are referring to as there was one mechanical claim opened on behalf of your vehicle and CARS requested standard information needed to determine assistance; however, the requested information was never received. On March 22, 2023, a repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your vehicle for four (4) TMPS sensors and jerking/shifting issues. CARS claims adjuster explained that TMPS sensors are not listed for coverage on your *************** Contract (VSC) and that CARS needed to speak to you before proceeding with the mechanical claim. CARS claims adjuster called and spoke to you that same day and then immediately called the repair facility and left a voicemail requesting a return call.On March 28, 2023, the repair facility contacted CARS and CARS claims adjuster requested the repair facility obtain your authorization to tear down the vehicle to the point the cause of the jerking/shifting issues and the extent of damage to the vehicle could be provided to CARS. CARS received no further communication from the repair facility regarding your vehicle; therefore, on April 28, 2023, the mechanical claim was closed after 30 days without contact. Things are great, until they are not. CARS Protection Plus is not easy to work. I paid over 3K for their value plus I plan, and their parts have failed me. After market parts is what they will pay for, and these arent always the best. The labor rates they cover are an astronomically low amount compared to what technicians are charging. I would say this $70 towards labor costs would be beneficial maybe **** years ago. I was naive and I thought bought this warranty plan would add a blanket of security in owning a used car. This review is to steer someone else away from this company, and research thirty party warranty companies on your own. There are options out there for you. Under no circumstances should you take on this warranty for your vehicle, and please know you only have a 30 day grace ****** to cancel after signing. It is not worth the risk in this economy. Do your research. I have had two warranties with this company and have regret it each time. First time (I was younger) and was told I should have gotten the better plan, so that is what I did. Now with the better plan, they pay a 6th of the bill for repairs they have authorized and failed within a year. This is not only my opinion, but a factual experience. If you only need a little money off the balance, this may work for you, but the money down or financed into your vehicle is steep.C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

The Cars Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:To date, CARS has not supplied any parts for repairs needed to your vehicle. On January 12, 2022, a repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your vehicle for timing repairs. This repair facility supplied the needed parts as well as a 3-year/36,000-mile parts and labor warranty on the repairs. Per the Terms and Conditions of your *************** Contract (VSC), issues with this repair should have been taken up with that repair facility. See Provision 4. (u.): PROVISIONS OF THE SERVICE CONTRACT: u. Coverage is superseded by any manufacturers warranty, recall or warranty on a previous repair.On March 02, 2023, a different repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your vehicle also for timing repairs. CARS claims adjuster explained that the needed repairs were still under warranty with your previous repair facility; therefore, CARS could not assist. The new repair facility explained to CARS claims adjuster that the first repair facility had gone out of business and requested CARS reconsider assisting given this fact. CARS management reviewed the request and decided to help with the repairs as you were unable to return to the first repair facility to have the repairs completed under the repair facilitys warranty. During the adjudication of the second mechanical claim, you were given two options on how to receive the parts needed for the repairs. CARS could ship CARS supplied parts and assist with the labor, or you could take the claim allowance and have your repair facility supply the parts. You chose to use the repair facility supplied parts. Regarding the $70.00 per hour labor rate on your VSC, CARS currently offers VSCs with stated labor rates ranging from $60.00 per hour up to $225.00 per hour on covered repairs. CARS also offers VSCs that will cover any repair facilitys posted labor rate and actively evaluates the market to modify our VSCs accordingly. Cancellation provisions also vary depending on what type of VSC is purchased, the customer and/or dealer location and the reason for cancellation. Yours can be located in the Terms and Conditions of your VSC at Provision 7. (c.): CANCELLATION PROVISIONS - ALL REQUESTED CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS MUST BE IN WRITING AND WILL BE PROCESSED THROUGH YOUR LIENHOLDER, IF ANY, OR YOUR SELLING DEALER. IF FINANCED, YOU AGREE YOUR LIENHOLDER IS A JOINT PAYEE TO RECEIVE ANY APPLICABLE REFUND. ANY CANCELLED CONTRACT IS VOID AND WILL NOT BE REINSTATED. After 20 days from the Effective Date, there is no refund except in the case of a total loss, as determined by the insurance carrier, or repossession by the lienholder, and as long as no claim was made. If eligible, We will cancel this Service Contract for a monthly prorated refund, less an administration fee of $50.00.CARS appreciates your feedback and hopes this information has been helpful. **************** do not buy coverage through them. Customer ********************* threatened me on the phone, said that we were "done" and said he would personally make sure non my auto bill would get covered, if I kept calling. So let me start from the beginning: Took my truck into the dealership on a Wednesday. Dealership called and submitted a claim for repairs, "cars" said they would only cover half the bill. Both the dealership and myself accepted that offer. So after "Cars" approved the claim, the dealership prerformed the repairs. Per "cars" instructions the dealership submitted the invoice for payment. "cars" told us it takes ***** hours to process the invoice for payment. 48 Hours later We called for an update, they said they hadn't processed anything. The dealership can't release my vehicle to me until payment from warranty company is made. So my vehicle sat at the dealership over the weekend. So on Monday still no word from "Cars" I called them and they said the invoice was denied because it didn't have a parts and labor warranty on the invoice. They advised me that the dealership would have to resubmitt the invoice and it would be another 48 hours until they process my invoice for payment. At this point I had been very patient and now I was upset. I've missed 4 days of work, had no vehicle over the weekend, and now I have to call the next 2 days out of work again because I don't have transportation. When I expressed this To "******" he theatened to cancel everything just because I was complaining. I was speechless. I paid for a warranty, almost $4k. I am using the coverage I paid for, and if feels like they are purposely dragging the claims process out. I just want my vehicle back. It's not the dealerships fault, it is certainly not my fault. The representative (******) on the phone was making me out to be the bad guy. Unreal. This warranty company has some serious red flags! still don't have my truck back. The Cars Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review regarding a mechanical claim and responds as follows:On March 01, 2023, a repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your vehicle. During this phone call CARS claims adjuster gave authorization for the needed repair and explained both how to submit the final invoice to receive payment as well as ALL information that was needed on the final invoice.Unfortunately, the first invoice CARS received was missing the information regarding the repair facilitys required parts and labor warranty on the repairs. CARS reached out to the repair facility and explained what needed to be corrected. CARS received the completed final invoice on March 07, 2023 and issued payment to the repair facility that same day. CARS processes documentation from both customers and repair facilities in the order it is received and apologizes you were unhappy with the speed with which the invoice your repair facility provided was handled. CARS is constantly striving for ways to make the customers experience better and appreciates your feedback. Regarding your statement about the interaction you had with a CARS employee: While our employee did warn you that the continued use of profanities would result in the call being disconnected, the employee never threatened you nor said they would personally make sure none of your repair bill would be covered if you kept calling. They are a complete rip off!Denied my claim for things that was on their list of things covered. My repair rep spoke to them and said that it was covered but then stalled and stalled for over 2 weeks, then came back and denied the entire claim!! The Cars Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review regarding a mechanical claim and responds as follows:The mechanical claim you are referring to was opened on January 17, 2023 and CARS quoted assistance to the repair facility on January 27, 2023. CARS gave the option to ship CARS supplied parts and assist with the labor or CARS could have provided the $1,110.10 as an allowance for the repair and the repair facility would have supplied the parts. The repair facility was to review this information with you and contact CARS with your decision.The mechanical claim was not denied, it was closed on January 30, 2023 when the repair facility notified CARS claims adjuster that you had taken your vehicle without repairs.CARS apologizes that you were unhappy with the assistance offered for your vehicles repairs; however, CARS has reviewed the mechanical claim and it was quoted properly within the terms and conditions of your *************** Contract. CARS sells various types of *************** Contracts and coverages differ.
