    My husband ******************* and I agreed to try this company for problems we have with mice. At the time, we were advised that in order to start up service they had to put us into a contract but that we could cancel at any time. We called today ************ and spoke to **** advising we wanted to cancel their service because they did not do what the agreement stated, to get rid of the mice. She advised us we would have to pay additional money to stop their service. We started the service 8.24.23 and have given them what we consider a fair chance to remedy the problem.

    Hello, On May 24, 2023 a representative of ECOSHIELD held door to door solutions for bug control. Upon asking many questions including their no penalty cancellation, they offered a 12 month program, four times per year, at the rate of $168.54 per treatment. After two treatments the service wasn't needed and I emailed over a month (9-22-2023) before the next scheduled treatment on (10-24-2023). Both these treatments in May and July were paid in full.Upon refusing to have another treatment we started receiving emails with a past due balance of $319.88. When speaking to several people in their office, they stated we were responsible for a cancelation fee of $319.88.I have impeccable credit. I don't want this company to put me in collections. I have been reading that this company has many complaints. I added to the desired resolution that this company rescinds any adverse information to the credit report companies.Please assist me in getting this company to cease and desist.     Eco shield has my husband, *********************************, as their contact.  When solicited, my husband was informed this was a trial subscription and there was no penalty for cancelation.  ************ swarmed the residents of ************** (Forked River) with this ruse and enough residents complained that the township put a "no knock" stipulation for the residents.  It was very confusing, as I was receiving emails directed towards my husband from this company on my email. Now, I received a letter from A.R.M Solutions, a debt collector.  I am mortified as both my husband and I have an impeccable credit rating, and work hard to pay all our bills on time.  This letter was addressed to me, *********************************.  We would have never signed up for a program that had this stipulation.  I attempted to contact the company when I received a letter stating this account was overdue.  ** stated in my last correspondence, several attempts were made to rectify this situation, to no avail.  Their financial services email eco shield provided has been closed.  **************************************  

    This amount, $319.88 is ridiculous.  I attempted to access the company's portal, but they denied my access.  I had considered suggesting to this this unethical company to perform a services for the two (2) services and we would pay the amount of $319.88, although at this point I don't trust them and have no faith they would preform said services. The only reason my husband agreed to the service, with the knowledge we could cancel anytime with no penalty, was we had a new bulkhead installed and this kicked up ants.

    I have additional information you will find interesting.  **** from Ecoshield had contacted my husband before the letter was sent from the debt collector (letter was sent on 1/2/2024) on his cell phone, (which Ecoshield stated they didn't have) and he stated if my husband paid $109.00 they would close the account.  I knew nothing of this call until my husband and I started discussing this issue.  The debt collector stated in the letter that we owe $319.88.  I truly believe that this company is totally unethical.  Quite frankly, this is blackmail. This "offer" of $109.00 is yet another indication of how this company is cheating their clients.  Never, in my life have my husband or I ever received a debt collection notice.  It is blackmail.  This is a horrible experience and one I would like rectified as soon as possible.  Please contact me if you have further questions.

    I have tried to attach additional documentation to clarify the poor business practices of Eco Shield.  It shows correspondence addressed to **** that clearly has "Dear ****" or "****" in their letters.  This correspondence  went to my email address.  Obviously, Eco Shield is confused, as I didn't sign up for this program.  My husband, ****, was assured that there was no penalty for stopping this service at any time.  *** phone call to **** from Eco Shield stated they would make this all go away for the amount of $109.00 is absurd, definitely not an accepted business practice. 

    As these files are not attaching, is there another alternative?  May I copy and snail mail them?

    That is blackmail.


    I am looking at a credit collection agency that is willing to destroy my impeccable credit rating, something I have worked diligently paying all my bills on time, or even before they are due. I have spend an inordinate amount of time trying to rectify this, to no avail.  *** services rendered by Eco Shield have been paid in full.  If this was a reputable company, with no other consumer complaints, I would have considered using Eco Shield in the spring, on the off chance the ants returned.  *** ants arrived after we had our bulkhead replaced last year and the soil was disturbed.  Now, there is no chance I will have Eco Shield on my property, as they are not trustworthy.


    Please help me, as well as others that *** be subjected to Eco Shield's nefarious business practices.

    In May 2023, a group of young adults swarmed the citizens of ************, **, selling bug solution treatments.  After speaking extensively with my husband,he decided to hire them to eliminate ants outside our home.  We had our bulkhead replaced before this and all the soil disturbance brought on ants.

    We were verbally assured we could cancel the treatments at any time.  We had two (2)treatments, May 29th and July 27th,  2023 respectively. With the first treatment, the technician, *********************************, stated on the completed service form that he sprayed the inside of my home, namely in the kitchen.  He never went into my home. On July 27th, the next technician, *************************** stated he sprayed the front porch.  We do not have a front porch.

    This business is highly unethical.  I started receiving correspondence in my name addressed to my husband.  They stated they texted my husband as well as myself. That is not true. 

    My husband and I have an impeccable credit rating and work hard to keep it this way. We paid for the services rendered and contacted them well within a reasonable time that we did not require additional treatments. EcoShield stated at the beginning there was not a penalty and this service can be cancelled at any time.

    **** from EcoShield called my husband and stated if he paid him $109.00, he would make this problem go away Really??? I dont believe this is an ethical business practice.  I consider this blackmail.

    Now, I receive a notice stating we owe $319.88.  We paid for services rendered.  Two (2) treatments at $168.54 each.  Where they came up with us owing $319.88 I have no idea.

    It is my understanding that company dropped off at least twenty (20) clean cut young adults to solicit their services.   The residents of our small quiet town were outraged as we are not the only people that were scammed.  Due to this obnoxious overtaking of our township, the town fathers have initiated a no-knock policy.

    It is also my understanding many individuals have had problems with this company, EcoShield, and they have numerous complaints pending.

    I never in my life have I had a letter from a collection agency and I am extremely disturbed this company has the unmitigated gall to act in this manner.

    Subject: Dispute Over Unjustified Charges and Lack of Prior Notification by Ecoshield I am filing this complaint against Ecoshield due to a series of misunderstandings and unjustified charges, exacerbated by my status as a new immigrant with limited English proficiency. The dispute involves multiple charges, including an unexpected total charge of $492.90, which is unclear and seems unjustified. Key Points: Initial Service and Payment: On August 1, I received the first service from Ecoshield and paid $140. The quality of this service was unsatisfactory. Agreement for Complimentary Reservice: After expressing my dissatisfaction, Ecoshield’s manager, *** *****, offered a complimentary reservice.     August 18,2023 eco completed a service. The service did NOT work and more bugs appear in and around home. A few days later a lawn company was completing work around my home when they were severely stung by wasp. They were stung in an area the sales representative stated they would focus on due to a wasp nest being present. I called that day and was told they would come out asap to retreat. Little over a week later I was outside and I get bit by a black widow. I go through my ring footage and come to realize no one came to retreat as promised. At that moment in time I did not want this company on my property anymore. I now call the main company. After calling several times taking up an entire day because the call center is in ****************** I got through and transferred to an office in **. They stated they would have a manager contact me to resolve this issue. I finally got a call back from a Bill *****************. During the duration of this call I did request my money back and for the service to be terminated. It was made very clear by **** that he spoke to his boss and the service would be cancelled at no additional cost due to the issues that occurred but I could not be refunded the ****** for a service already completed. A few weeks go by and I receive notifications that I owe almost $500. By this point my flesh is deteriorating on my leg. **** is contacted again. He then says the bill is for ANOTHER service done AFTER it was already terminated. Then **** had to contact a ***** and ***** stated the $500 was being adjusted to around $186 and some change because that was totally their fault for poor communication but now Im being told I have to pay a contract cancellation fee. This is not what was agreed upon. There should be no more bills. Now not even a full 3 weeks Im receiving collection notifications from arm solutions that now I owe eco shield around $230. So the amounts arent even consistent.

    So I began services with EcoShield for outside insects during the summer of 2023. A technician came out and sprayed my yard with the chemicals they use to supposedly rid of the insects every 2 months. Within the 3rd month, nothing has changed and the insects continued to run rampant. I called EcoShield and they had someone come out to do a once over free of charge. After a week I had the same results. I was being charged $210.94 every 2 months for a service that did not rid of my insect problem in my front and back yard. I paid in total $421.88 for 2 times service was conducted. I contacted EcoShield and told them that I was dissatisfied of the product and services and advised them that I wanted to cancel the service because it wasnt working. They continuously tried to offer me the same services for a lesser bimonthly payment while I was on the phone with them. The call then suddenly disconnected without us coming to any agreement. I immediately called back and spoke to a different person who advised me that the services was canceled and I owed a cancellation fee of $320.00. It was very unprofessional and I should not have to pay a cancellation fee for a service that didnt work as promised and which I was very unsatisfied with.

    Of course Ecoshield sent my account to collections. The reason this happened was because of greedy business practices. Now ecoshield gets money regardless by selling the account balance to a collection agency which means the account is no longer my problem because the collection agency just purchased my debt. This matter is now between ecoshield and the collection agency. I hope people do research on the way Ecoshield treats their customers before doing business.

    I have fallen on hard times due to having to make home improvements to keep my two young children safe. I have had to service the water, repair busted pipes, replace the entire electrical panel due to it being on fire, and now have a furnace that needs to be replaced to keep my house warm. I contacted EcoShield to cancel my service and despite knowing this. They refuse to forgive the cancellation clause even after I told them choosing to pay them would mean i am choosing to not keep my children warm this winter. The fee they want to charge me is equal to my quoted monthly finance charge to repair my heater. Not only do they have no sympathy for my situation they did not offer payment plans as suggested in their email they only offered for me to continue their service at a cheaper rate or be reported to collections.

    Have had these guys out multiple times for services. They either didn't do the work, or made the issue worse...finally driving it inside our home. I do not have $ to now have them come inside the house & add services. Was made aware trying to cancel services that I signed a 2yr contract. This was not specified by their door knocker salesman. They said if I try to cancel there's a penalty. I need help in being released from this contract. It's documented my issues with them from day one.

    On August 4th EcoShield Pest reps stopped at my house and offered to help with ants. They sprayed and I paid them and signed for what I thought was a one time service. They claim I signed for additional service. I paid $169.60 and now they claim I owe $318. I am a disabled senior citizen and I feel I was taken advantage of.

    I've been hassled for 2 months now to pay the cancelation fee($250) that i was told i wouldn't have to pay if i waited after the first 2 treats ments($180 both times). The salesmen went on a whole speel about how much money he was saving me and all the services they offer. He said as long as i waited after he second treatment i could cancle for free. Well when i went to call the man on the phone gave me a hard time saying that he cant go off of the "promises" made by the salesmen and that i signed a contract, which i never received a copy of if thats the case. That i needed to pay the cancelation fee, or it's going to collections. The services didnt even get rid of the bugs outside. And they were very adiment about doing the inside too. Which i was in no way comfortable with. And im glad i didn't, with how this experience turned out, that I didn't let these very unprofessional people into my home.

    On May 23.2023, a professional looking man in a uniform and clean truck naming Ecoshield pest management as the company , explained the services to me and offered me a discount to begin quarterly payments for quarterly visits to spray the exterior of my house around the perimeter of the foundation, to rid me of carpenter ants in my kitchen. First and second payments and visits were one month apart vs " quarterly" to rid the property of "ant eggs" that might hatch , thus the 2nd spraying was only a month later. The next visit was to be in December. I received a text message and email notice that Ecoshield would be coming out on Wednesday December 6 to do a quarterly spraying. Exterior Only-I was clear I Only wanted Exterior service for my house. I called to cancel Monday Dec 4 and said I didnt want any late Fall / Winter spraying as there is no ant activity those months. I was told I had a zero balance. I already paid them by them deducting 179.00+ tax of $10.74= 189.74 from my credit card on file. So I paid for EACH of the 2 services I received. I understand that Each service is billed to the card the day of the completed appointment. I received multiple phone call messages/ text message re my attempt to cancel the service until next late Spring when I believe the ants might be active again. I was told I could only defer the spraying until February. I do not want exterior ant spraying in late Winter. I asked them to cancel any future spraying as I do not want a contract with them for services that are not needed to the exterior of my house. A man from a different department called me with EXQUISITE-politeness to regretfully tell me if I cancelled, I would OWE THEM $200. for ending my contract early! My belief is they got paid forEach time they sprayed at my house- I asked for a copy of the contract. On the bottom of the contract in dark green in small print, it Does say there is a fee for cancelling " early"; I was told I have 9 services left. SCAMMED !!
