1 starI tried to purchase a jacket three times recently and each time went through but got auto cancelled ******************************************************************************************************** in 72 hrs regarding my account - heard nothing back. Finally called **************** and the first thing the rep said was "I see you that you have called us many times about this." I was surprised because that was my first time calling and had someone actually reached out to me I wouldn't have to call at all. The rep couldn't help me and said my account is blocked and she doesn't have authority to provide further assistance. I asked how could my account be blocked, this is my FIRST time purchasing from the company! She said my account was flagged for fraud (!?) I told the rep how could there be a fraud allegedly made using my account and I was never notified? She continued to talk in circle and said the dispute **** will contact me via email to sort things out. Later on the same day, I found a short one sentence email in my junk box from their "dispute ****" stating that "Please be advised that you're no longer eligible to shop online with all ******************* due to a confirmed fraud." What fraud and when did it happen? No other information or additional assistance was provided. So someone attempted a fraud on my account and the company is the victim, not me? I'm definitely taking my money elsewhere based on this experience. I'm just angry to know that I'll never find out what happened with my account. What a joke. I bought a pair of sunglasses and purse in store as a gift and the sunglasses came with a case. A mutual friend liked the sunglasses so I ordered a pair for them online. The online order with just the sunglasses loose in a box with some bubble wrap. No case. So I chatted with customer service for over an hour which left me with just the option to return them. No we will ship the case out to you to make it right. No I see theres a store in your town you can go by and pick up the missing case there. Im keeping the glasses because my friend obviously wants them, but that in no way excuses the inconsistency and being shortchanged not mention the huge waste of time trying to rectify their mistake. Personally I will never shop from anthropologie again. Just beware. They dont care about you. Their customer service is of no service to anyone not even themselves. Theyve lost this customer. Ill certainly tell my friends and continue to post anywhere I can to warn other buyers out there.Anthropologie

What once was an outstanding company, is now as bad as ******** What once was, is no longer. It's a shame that as a brand they no longer outshine their competition. They are just as dull and average as everything else out there.I have been an avid shopper of this clothing line for over 20 years. While I've seen a slow decline over the years in terms of the quality and style of the lines they carry, I've still always remained a loyal customer. Prior to the past year, I took a break from ordering over COVID. When I returned to make several online purchases, I was met with issues. Cancellation of items in orders after showing in stock, having to reorder the same item, mistakes in sizing upon shipping & sloppy returns that apparently and unknowingly resulted in blocking my account. Returned a dress 12/1 & had to call 1/5 because the item tracking wasn't showing deleivered. ****** confirmed **** returned on 12/14 and credit given. Logging in to my account, nothing appeared out of the ordinary.Yet today after placing an order, they cancelled it & informed me of the block. No answer could be provided, I had to wait 48 hrs for an email they said. The email sites I never returned the item back in December. So I called CS again & they confirmed the item was indeed returned. Oops, human error, someone didn't look at your account well enough. After lthe hold was lifted she said I could place my order for the 3rd time today. Now my birthday discount code wouldn't work & my free over night shipping was bumped to 3-4 day shipping because I missed the deadline. This all due to Anthros incompetence time and time again which led to this in the first place. Thanks ******!! I seriously think this is the last time I'll ever order or shop with this company again.Nicole B

After this review was posted I was contacted by Anthropologie with an apology for my experience(s). I was not expecting to be contacted by a representative for Anthro, but I sincerely appreciate that they took my grievance seriously. That was the right thing to do, and that speaks volumes to the companies integrity and values. I rescind my previous grievance and have gone back to shopping with Anthropologie again. I have not encountered any more shipping/return issues since. I feel like they have worked to improve the customer experience. Thank you Anthro!Review fromSarah A

1 starHands down the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. Spent close to $900 on clothing only to have my order rejected multiple times because they needed some "code" from my CC company (Amex literally had no idea what they were referring to). Tried using PayPal instead...still didn't work. Got the runaround 4 different times before finally getting the order to go through...I had to CALL anthropologie and give them a number off of a confirmation email????? Then the package just....never arrived. They use OnTrack for delivery and basically told me that once in OnTracks hands, they can't contact them or help me find my package (and neither can we as customers, they deserve a bad review as well)...but since it wasn't delivered yet they also can't refund my order? After countless phone calls, nearly three weeks, and discussions with two "supervisors" (one of which clearly didn't care if I saw my items or not) I finally was able to get someone to cancel my order. I have yet to see if the refund has gone through and will be doing a charge back with my credit card if they don't.So I missed having a dress for an important event, I was lied to by call agents and supervisors, and had to fight to get my $900 back. What a scam...and this is coming from a millennial who NEVER leaves bad reviews on anything.Review fromAllie L

1 starTerrible customer service and even worse product. I’ve received countless items from them that arrived broken or damaged and they refused to replace them. 1 starHorrible online customer service. Absolutely no respect for customers. Four of my orders have been cancelled. I thought the item ran out of stock first two times and it was totally understandable given the popularity of it. But when my third order did not arrive and I saw cancellation email, I have contacted customer service. It was promised to me that someone of “whatever” department will email the information about reason for these cancellations. Never received such email. Naively thought that problem is the payment. I used PayPal. So have placed fourth order (completely different item) and used Apple Pay. Order was canceled again. Contacting customer service led to nothing except I was told that for my protection order was canceled. To my question about why there is no note to contact “security” department on the cancellation email, customer service just blabbered something useless. Anthropoligie is unique store for sure. And I never had problems with purchase in the physical store, but online experience completely turned me away.Review fromLily B

1 starWorst costumer service. I ordered a dress for a wedding. I didn’t realize until after the wedding the dress was damaged and the seems were completely falling apart.
I called Anthro to tell them it’s a damaged dress. They spoke to me like robots and said there is 30 days to tell them it’s damaged and all tho they had plenty in stock, they weren’t going to replace it. But would send a 20% off coupon. I said would it be possible to reach out to the maker for the fabric and I’ll fix it myself. They just kept repeating the 30 day policy.
The next day I get an email with a return label for the dress for an exchange. I called back and they said they never sent a return label! I said I’m looking at it right now. They said they will look into “my accusation” but no one sent one. I offered to forward the label as proof and they said no. They then went on to say they never offered a 20% off coupon and review the call to see if I’m telling the truth.

1 starSomething is seriously wrong with this company. I purchased a $2,000 wedding dress in the store, received an email confirmation and then a couple hours later received an email that the credit card payment didn’t go through even though the money left my account. They said I had 7 days to call and update payment info or they would just wait the 7 days and try the card again, at which point the order would then be cancelled. The email came on a Saturday and said to call customer service M-F so I had to wait a couple days. I called Tuesday morning and they had cancelled the whole order claiming the payment didn’t go through and they didn’t hear from me in time. It had been 3 days, not even the max 7 days. They said I should’ve known better and because the card didn’t go through that I would’ve had only 24-48 hours to call them. I said how as a customer would I have known that if the email says I have 7 days? They said they would’ve told me if I had called. I said that’s why I’m calling! Because you said to call M-F within 7 days. They again tried to blame me completely gaslighting my experience. I spoke to THREE people including a supervisor and they said there’s nothing they can do because the order is now cancelled. I never received a cancellation email either. I had to go back to the store and order the dress all over again. If this weren’t for my daughter’s dream wedding dress I would’ve told them to forget the whole order. I will NEVER do business here again and if I don’t receive my order or if anything else goes wrong, I will file a lawsuit. Fix your company’s problems please.Review fromCharles F

1 starI bought a couple of baseball ?? items on September 1st. The website said that they ship within 3-5 business days. After waiting two weeks, I emailed in, and received a canned response. I waited another week and tried to call them. I got basically a busy signal. I contacted my bank, and I have filed a dispute claim with them.
