They never paid for my bills using all theirs rules. Im outraged on how much I paid them and they dont cover my medical bills base on some rules they created to benefit their company. Please dont waste your hard earned money on this garbage health insurance.

Cigna has to be the worst insurance provider in history. I received a call from one of their reps a few weeks ago and was told they have not even processed my dental work claim from January 2024. Seems they just like to charge premiums and keep them.Cigna then sent me back for a multitude of x-rays and radiation exposure for their records. I've been paying them the maximum deductible every paycheck and I have not seen any updates, or payment from them to my dental provider. They have no email contact information, they want you to call their customer service line, who have little or no information on what's going on, and will put you on hold when you ask for a supervisor, hoping you'll hang up.Cigna is a horrible company, and their customer service is abysmally appalling. The one star rating I'm forced to select is 5 stars above what it should be, a -4 rating.

Horrible business practice. i used my dental plan for the first time in over 2 years, after having paid a premium of $32 every month. i had been with Cigna for at least a few years already, probably close to 8 or 9. during the entirety of my time with them, I've used their plan very little since i struggled to find a dentist in their network. this last time i just got a simple cleaning and xray. dental office charged a total of $170, of which Cigna paid only $99, leaving a "patient responsibility," of $71. Considering the fact I'd paid out close to $800 in monthly premiums over 2 years, i found this to be downright egregious. After calling and asking for an explanation, they told me the reason they would not cover the xray was because they only cover "full mouth" xrays every 5 years. and even then, only a certain type of xray, not the "panoramic," kind that i was given. this was my first time seeing this dentist, hence why they did a full mouth xray. this is standard practice for new patients. and $71 is a very reasonable fee. Cigna could provide no reasonable explanation as to why they set their coverage guidelines this way. neither did they offer to make an exception and cover the $71, only that I would have to appeal. Steer clear of Cigna, terrible coverage and customer service. i should've dropped them long ago, but it's such a headache dealing with insurance. now i want to at least share my bad experience as a warning to others.

I have similar experience about Evicore. My insurance is ***** and they hired them to do pre-authorization. I am being treated by a very esteemed institution and highly specialized doctors. Evicore's team blatantly second guess and overrule medical treatment decisions of these doctors. Aetna is enjoying it as it is the beneficiary of this almost criminal act! After I was denied the *** and paid out of my pocket, I wrote ***** a letter stating that I would not even shy away to take them to court. Then they quickly and quietly re-imbursed my for my expenses. Highway robbery. By the way the doctors know this practice and are tired of being second guessed but are not saying much because of the insurance giants are going to come down on them. I could not have believed it if someone was telling me this until I experienced it with disgust.

This company billed me because I used an "out of service" provider. I literally found the provider in Cigna's list in Cigna's portal. When I called to straighten out the mess, I was told that providers are allowed to promote themselves on the Cigna portal, even if they are "out of service" providers.Sloppy service, and sloppy algorithm. I won't be using this provider ever again, and I will tell everyone I know that this company is a free for all with no structure or accountability.

My Cigna evidence of coverage states that I have a $15.00 copay to see a specialist and that is the total amount I will pay. What they don't tell you is that there could be a "facility fee" for the use of the office which in my case was $122.75. I have had two other insurance companies in the past and when there was a facility fee, they covered it at 100% If you are considering Cigna as an insurance company don't believe their coverage information.

Worst insurance ever. They will decide not to cover your procedures even when your policy says its covered. They are so slow in processing claims and have terrible customer service.
