      Cigna makes it impossible for Participating Providers to get assistance. They use third Party payors who do not pay claims in a timely manner, have extremely high hold times, and generally the only response is "allow more time". Cigna does not provide easy access for complaints or grievances for their failure to process claims in a timely manner. Cigna has poor relationships with their Network Providers and I can only assume they have the same poor relationships with their members.

      I sent in claim over a month ago, no has called me. I have called was told that they are running behind, that they would escalate my case and a supervisor would call. Still no one has called me. I have paid out all this money, and can not get some of my money back. What a awful company

      Another HEALTH insurance company (like most in America) that actually could care less about the health of their Clients and ONLY care about money. As if we aren’t robbed weekly by your so called “insurance”, you will “review” a DOCTORS recommendation and referral for specific imaging because YOU deem it unnecessary? Because YOU deal with the daily pain that some of your clients have to endure every single day? Pay HUNDREDS of dollars monthly, on top of outrageous deductibles, to supposedly feel insured and to trust the healthcare system, only to find out from someone who has NO clue what any of us are dealing with on a daily basis, that our pain and suffering is not reason enough to do the recommended imaging to get to the root cause. Absolutely disgusting. I would like to say I hope at least some of your employees are ashamed of stealing from American citizens, but I get it, money is the number one priority for this so called “insurance” company. Insuring your clients get the bare minimum care at the bare minimum cost to YOU, is the true priority.

      I have turned in a claim for reimbursement while doing business travel for a covid diagnostic/treatment, and it's been 9 months of back and forth with them. They pretend they'll reimburse me within the next few days and then they don't. I've called 5 times and uploaded all the invoices twice. They said they sent me a check, which was a flat out lie which didn't even make sense because I gave them my bank account number for direct deposit. The 2nd time they claimed my claim wasn't in the system and I had to do everything all over again. The 3rd time they said they'd direct deposit. The 4th time they said they didn't know what happened, escalated and reissued payment and i'd receive it in 5 days. A month later, i.e. the 5th time, they said the claim it was with the 'bank people' (so the 5 days was a complete lie) and they'd escalate again. I asked to speak to a supervisor and supposedly she'd call me within an hour. It's not end of day and I haven't received a call at all.

      A lot of problems with this company claim issues in network issues customer service issues I highly do not recommend cigna for dentist

      They keep dropping the ball.... my specialist Dr. perscribed me to take my meds more often. Cigna denied it. Gave me a list of what I had to try 1st....
      1. I tried all the meds they listed previously and had bad side affects from each... and all documented.
      2. Most of the meds they said I needed to try didn't have any effect on my disease (crohnes)
      3. Ordered new kind of med, 4 weeks ago. Still waiting on approval.

      Was told i was approved for something, dr confirmed approval, after having it done I get a denied letter... repeal it and was told some bogus crap about facility charge was never approved....

      Customer service takes 45 minutes of bouncing all around "let me connect you to so and so" just to have a 20 second conversation ......

      Huge huge let down!

      Have Cigna Open Access Plus high deductible HSA. Went to in network provider, diagnosed with diverticulitis. Doctor ordered CT scan to see if it was uncomplicated or complicated because complicated can be life threatening and requires immediate surgery. Went to imaging center of same in network provider, and was told upon arrival that Cigna was reviewing to determine if it was necessary. Literally a day or two can be a life or death difference, and they want to review something ordered by their own network provider. Worst health insurance on the market.

      If I could give Cigna negative stars, I would. For the past 5-6 months, they have denied all my claims because they say I’m over 65 and should have Medicare as my primary insurance. If that were the case, why am I (and my company) still paying several hundred dollars per paycheck? I DO NOT have Medicare, by my own choice, however they do not believe me and are refusing to do anything about it, leaving me with thousands of dollars of medical bills and denying all procedures that I need. They are the most worthless insurance company I have ever had. Unfortunately, nothing will change.

      APWU/CIGNA says I have to reinburse them for an injury I suffered as a result of a drunk driver...why? BECAUSE IT WASNT MY FAULT. Where is the logic in this? He was convicted, he was sentenced, HE HAS NO MONEY...he has not given any restitution to me...why? Why do I have to deal with this? I pay for my insurance.
