Dealing with Express Scripts, CIGNA RX, Medicare home delivery too has been an absolute nightmare. I have made 30 calls in the past two weeks and they can’t seem to get their act together. They have denied my prescriptions saying that I have Cigna as my secondary prescription coverage and OptumRx as my primary coverage. I opted out of my firm’s healthcare, and prescription coverage come on which was OptumRx as I knew that I was going to begin original Medicare, effective January 1, 2023. Coverage under OptumRX ended on 12/31/2022. I have called CIGNA at least 30 times to explain that I have no prescription coverage other than CIGNA They assured me that they have changed their records to reflect that CIGNA is my only coverage only to get subsequent emails that my prescriptions have been canceled due to a different prescription primary coverage. I have spoken to Express Scripts, I have spoken to CIGNA, I have spoken to multiple pharmacists at CIGNA to no avail. They assured me that the issue has been taken care of, acknowledge that CIGNA is my only prescription provider, and then subsequently cancel my prescriptions!!! .They have repeatedly requested my doctor file prior authorizations and prescription approvals when they have received them multiple times. My doctor is now charging me for the extensive work he has to do because of CIGNA/Express Scripts’ stupidity. I am running out of my medication and there is no one at CIGNA or Express Scripts, who seems to have a brain in their head in order to remedy the situation. I have no choice but to deal with this but will it is definitely make changes come open enrollment. If I did my job the way CIGNA/Express Scripts does, I would be fired immediately.

Cigna denies every claim, outsourcing pre-authorization reviews to EviCore, a company I did not opt in to share my private medical information with. EviCore will not confirm that a medical doctor is evaluating claims and won't supply information about who is given access to private medical information. Between them Cigna and EviCore are set up to deny all claims, pre-authorized or otherwise. If you and your medical provider are willing and able to jump through endless hoops and share private medical information that has no bearing on the evaluation of your claim, if you are willing to jump through endless hoops and wait weeks for the chance to make an appointment, if you are willing to ingest drugs you don't need and/or complete physical therapy for an undiagnosed ailment...then maybe Cigna will approve your claim. Or EviCore, or some kid who's looking to see if the correct keywords are present in your claim. But they probably won't.

We all saw the reporting and we know that Cigna denies claims within one second or less. Now they have enlisted EviCore to spread private medical information around their network without taking any responsibility for who sees that information, whether it's medically necessary, and without recourse to consumers and patients who want to protect their own information and receive the insurance support they pay for.

Cigna is the absolute worst. A blatant rip off, a mass of HIPAA violations, and a huge waste of my time and my medical providers time.

I contacted Cigna about a wrong package being delivered, they could careless about it or getting the right package delivered to me. This is for Cigna health insurance, Tennessee. I wasn't able to see many of the doctors that were in network in the city of Knoxville. When I went online to see the doctors that I got off of My-Cigna, I'd make the appointments and they'd say something to this effect. I just sent the paperwork in for us to be removed from Cigna. I'd also get we don't accept but then I'd call Cigna and they'd say they are in contract with us. I came to Philly for medical care through another coverage. My coverage with Cigna ended May 1st. I had 2 and a half weeks to get things resolved while still under Cigna. I still had money on my health card and Rewards / Incentives. I decided to use as much as I could before this day May 1 came around. I needed somethings and I went to order online. I've ordered a few packages before when I needed something and had no problems with the orders. I tried to order but the website would not allow me to put the order through. I called the OTC number to place the order. I told the person many many times that they are not to send the package to the mailing address because I'm not there. They said okay and I gave them the address that I am at. I had them call it back to me many times and they agreed that the package would come to Philadelphia and not Tennessee. Well everyone, were do you think the package is right now. It's sitting on the porch outside for anyone to get. I contacted Cigna and all they could do is say we will resend the package. I said how about contacting Fed-Ex to pick it back up. They said we can't so I'm forced to spend my own money to have the package picked up. You will believe this, they resent out a package to me and it was incorrect. I said never again will I use any coverage with this name. Archie Bunker would say meat heads but what works behind those phones, it's worse! DON'T USE CIGNA

Cigna cannot be trusted. Although their app shows a doctor, including one I’ve had for 20 years, as being in-network, they think nothing of denying the claim and blaming it on your particular policy.

I used to love Cigna Healthcare, but it seem now they take my premiums and just deny everything since I actually need to use my insurance. I have a torn rotator cuff that has caused a cyst in my shoulder and a 50% torn coracohumeral ligament that is split down the middle. Cigna approve my surgery under my secondary Cigna plan as medically necessary, but denied it under my primary. Make this make any kind of sense!
Furthermore they want me to do 3 months of physical therapy after my physician stated doing so will cause more damage to my shoulder. I can't lift a glass of water and pain medication does not help! I tore my ACL and MCL 2 years ago and they denied treatment 7 times, now I have permanent knee damage. This time I will get my attorney and the media involved. Thank you Cigna!

I have a medication I take daily. There was a shortage in my town so I called and asked what to do. I asked my options and said I used to be on (name brand med) but y'all do not cover that anymore. Would it be ok to switch to that because of the shortage and then switch back to the one you do cover? They said Yes, because of the shortage I could pay out of pocket and they would reimburse me. They did not reimburse me. They keep saying I can contest the denial, but they never emailed me about the claim. It's nowhere on my portal. I call and they hang up on me. It's ridiculous.

I am very disappointed. I had a dentist from North Miami Dental Group in Miami Florida that did not do a procedure and still charged me $550 dollars and another $680 dollars Cinga insurance. I called Cigna 4 times on different occasions and explained that the dentist did not do the procedure and charged me and the insurance company. At first, I was told Cigna will write him a letter Nothing happened. So a dentist committed Insurance Fraud and no one is listening and no one cares.

Sad how no one listens to a customer even when dentists are committing insurance FRAUD.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are impossible to contact and somehow made my child the primary holder of the account. If you call expect them to hang up at least 4 times before getting a person.

This business constantly cuts providers and refuses to pay on lawful claims.

They recently cut Halifax Hospital from their providers due to their greed and failure to recognize the great community partnership and ties this hospital has.

They are absolutely the worst sinsurance I have had in my life.
