I notice that Cigna is not BBB accredited. Makes sense. Seriously, see the Young Turks video explaining the automated way in which Cigna cranks out denials. My employer recently switched to Cigna, and Cigna wasted no time denying coverage for my vital medication (for seizure pain) that I have been taking for years. What am I going to do? I seriously don't know. Maybe they will change their mind after my first, second, or third visit to the ER.

Absolutely dreadful company. if just giving a payment is difficult, i can only imagine how terrible their claim service is. I pray to god that i don't actually have to use this insurance at all - knock on wood. their website simply doesn't work. and their various call centers bounce the call around until they leave you frustrated. once you are lucky enough to GIVE PAYMENT , their system somehow does NOT log the payment, and you get a bill for 3 missed backed up payments. Do not recommend at all.

I work in healthcare at a billionaire dollar company. part of my job is verifying benefits and requesting authorization. of the many people i have spoken with at Cigna over the last 7 years, none of them have given accurate information. the provider portal does not have accurate information. possibly the worst health plan i have ever worked with. i will deter EVERY single patient away from this plan with EVERY breath in my body for as long as i am in the healthcare industry

This is in relevance to a sister company that CIGNA is affiliated with and pertaining to CIGNA. Shame on you all:
If you are serious about your work ethics DO NOT WORK HERE. If you like to be pushed over this job is for you. Last position was as an patient care advocate working for the Department of Defense and I was terminated due to retaliation and because I would not allow a manager named Claire M**** to push over me. The employees and management are disgusting and the clients may never get their medication due to poor ethics at this company. I don’t know which portion of ethics did not consider me back to work wether it was them or CIGNA but what a drastic shame this entire procedure. NO ONE here has sense. The pharmacists don’t even know their job, the nurses are rude, and the pharmacy techs are horrible. Thorough work is not appreciated here. The manager Claire M**** spoke of “cracking a whip” when management has work for an employee to do which is highly unethical and disgusting especially being that she is an African American woman. Ethics and Morals are all messed up at this establishment. AND they have mandatory overtime so if you have a life or are a college student do not work here. I will be reporting this business and CIGNA to the Better Business Bureau.

They have made my life a living nightmare! Out of 8 medication I take they have screwed with 6 of them. One that keeps me from having migraines they denied, one that literally helps my pcos and stops suicidal thoughts from my horomanal depression they denied they will not let me fill my anti depressant unless the doctor changes how it is written so now 3 days off anti depressant. Even metformin they tried pre authorization. I'm on adderall, which is hard enough to find right now, you probably can guess by now yep prior authorization again. This one I have been on over a decade. This is the worst insurance I ever had . You do not have a heart when you take away someone's ability to get medication that keeps them from wanting to die every day of their life. Greedy assholes that's who you would rather have people get to the point that they no longer want to be on this earth. What is the matter with you sorry people!!!!!!!!

Cigna Healthcare is definitely the worst healthcare insurance company in the US. BEWARE! I have been contacting them regarding a $54.00 refund check for over a year now, unsuccessfully. It is shamefully unprofessional. I do not recommend to anyone.

The city I live in have 3 networks Norton, Baptist and UofL. U of L is a teaching hospital and all you see is mostly students or interns. Cigna has dropped Baptist and now dropping Norton as of May 16, 2023. So NONE of my physicians are in network. Because of the federal law I can’t change insurance companies until open enrollment. I MUST have my medication to LIVE due to having cancer. They don’t care about the people and only care about money!!!! So not choose Cigna they do not care about you!!!!

This company is a nightmare. They randomly select claims to be denied without justification and will not yield until formal legal threats are made. If you talk to five customer service reps, you will get five completely different explanations. I would not wish these incompetent cheats on anyone. This company would get a zero-point review if that was an option.

Cigna will deny every single claim.
I have to warn my Physician's so they write things up a certain way in order to be considered for coverage.
      Horrible insurance!
I will change every single Doctor I have if it means I don't have to sign up with them again.
