      Cancelled insurance and they billed me for an extra month. After numerous calls they finally sent my refund check 5 months later. I wouldn't even be writing this review, but when the check arrived it was on paper that did not allow for a photograph for remote deposit. Of course, I normally remote deposit checks as soon as I get one. And of course, I lost the check and have not deposited it.

      I would be willing to bet the paper they use for the checks is by design and someone in the company could tell us how few refund checks are issued and how few of them are actually cashed.

      Not a company I would want to count on if I had a real need.

      My experience with Cigna was frustrating to say the least. their website would say they needed more Information but would not say what information. I tried to call numerous times but was went through and endless maze of automated systems being transferred and cut off. The worst customer service I've ever experienced.

      You can submit a claim over the chat on their website. You can submit a claim through email. You can submit a claim in literally any way and they still won't have record of it--even if you got a confirmation email! Their customer service reps are nice and try to be helpful, but their hands seem to be tied. It's not their fault that they work for a horrible company and a system that doesn't work. But if you have the option to get insurance ANYWHERE ELSE, do it.

      The employees will violate HIPPA rules and regulations, and all without any consequences. Cigna looks into their complaints internally and guess what - nobody is ever wrong!! A very seedy business.

      (1) There is always a long hold when trying to reach Cigna by phone--an average of about45 minutes, just to talk to customer service. (2) Limited choices of in-network doctors. (3) The only hospital in network in my area is the county hospital. (4) I found a PCP that I like, but I was charged my copay AND a facility fee, since her office is associated with a hospital system. So really my copay for a doctor's appointment is $80, not $30.

      This is the worst insurance I’ve ever been provided through an employer. If I had the choice I wished I knew how bad they were so I could have declined paying for this insurance and I would have not given them a single penny. I would have picked something else from Healthcare Marketplace over this crap. I constantly have to send in documents to this company, three times already because they keep saying they didn’t receive it and each time I waste precious time being on the phone with them. Even after 3 times they still won’t let me claim my HRA funds that were provided to me by my employer and make me jump through hoops saying I have to provide something else. My expenses were under eligible expenses on their page. I actually broke down on the phone crying on my last call because of how shitty this company was treating me. They don’t care about YOU, just YOUR money!! There is something very wrong about this company and all of them have an accent.

      Bad in depth. Four agents proved unable to drop me from our policy. I had to send registered mail. Worst I have ever experienced.

      Hold times at Cigna are at minimum 45 minutes - no callback feature, and if you try to send an inquiry via their portal their system deletes it if you have lag time while composing. I have gotten through to reps, only to find out the IVR transferred call to wrong department and the call is placed right back into the queue to start your wait from the beginning again. The entire time on hold you are told how important your call is. LOL

      They have destroyed our lives. They will cancel your policy without warning for stupid reasons. Cut off your dependents from medical care at the worst times. Fight with you about paying you back for medical appointments that they failed to pay for in the first place because of their own stupid mistakes. They are a piece of crap through and through.

      Absolutely TERRIBLE insurance. They work hard at ignoring you, denying claims, and collecting payments - but that is ALL they work hard at.
      Avoid them like the plague if you have an option. I would give them zero stars if I had the option to.
