They are the absolute worst insurance company. I keep calling them since they refuse to pay my young daughter's hospital bill. Cigna is my daughter's primary insurance. They " resolve' it on the phone and give me a reference number. I give it to medical doctors and it comes back denied saying I called THEM to let them know they are NOT the primary insurance. WHAT! This has been going on for months and I called back for months and months. They lie to the doctors when they want to get paid and say the reference number is not for the reason I actually called but to let them know once again they are not the primary. That makes ZERO sense, who would do that! Why would I keep calling my secondary insurance to keep telling them they are the secondary insurance ???Make it make sense.

I am dealing with Cigna for my dental claim since May. it is worst nightmare that very poor communication, hard to get someone to talk and 10 people have 10 different answers. They try everything not to pay my dental claim. Now they said that dental claim has partial paid to dental office which dental office charged full amount from me. I did not ask them to pay dental office. They now try to blame me that I signed form to pay them. Why should I do that. This is worst service if anyone look for Cigna claims.

This is the worst health insurance company. I was hospitalized for the internal bleeding and almost died and they refused to pay for the hospitalization bill saying that they did not receive the medical explanation from the doctor... Well, when we called the hospital Cigna did not ask for the authorization to receive patient medical record. Their process is broken. I even heard from the ****** hosptial that they did not even sent the ***. Worst insurance company that I ever dealt with ever in my life time. Please complain if your employer is thinking about using this company.

Very poor telephone communication skills by - English not first language - *********'s as if they're taught to use too many useless words.Talking a lot and saying nothing of consequence.Example:"Thank you Mr. ************ so much for giving me that important information about your account which will now allow me to verify your information."as opposed to just "Thank you"Sweet mother of Godzilla - listening to these phone **** is like an ice pick in the forehead.I wonder if the intention of the company is to annoy the customer to the point of tedium? If that is the case then they have achieved their goal and then some.

Regardless of what my doctor says, and the obvious results of panels and bloodwork more than confirming a diagnosis, Cigna decided I'm 'not diabetic enough' to continue to receive my medications. As a result, they decided to cut me off entirely from the meds that have been working for me for several years. No matter what my doctor tells Cigna or sends to them, it's always a blanket, rubber stamped, treat-you-like-a-number refusal. It feels deliberate with the way they refuse to look at the information my doctor keeps submitting on my behalf. By far, Cigna is the worst insurance experience I've ever had.

This is the worst insurance. My employer helps cover the insurance with us. I thought the more employees you have the price and deductible are better. Im paying a lot of money out of my pocket just so Cigna doesnt have to pay much on their part.

Cigna does not care about their patients. When I was diagnosed with cancer they immediately started denying every single request for coverage from surgeries to testing. They didnt care that the time spent filing appeal after appeal, begging for coverage to save my life, my cancer spread through my body. I still have medical debts and what help do I get from Cigna? A new health case manager calling me to spy on my health every other day so they can be sure to deny any claims I may submit before Ive even submitted anything. Thank you for the irrevocable pain, I could do without the patronizing phone calls and voicemails multiple times a week.

The absolute worst. Denying claim after claim after claim. Stringing me along for months. They spent more money in labor on the phone with me, emailing me, and sending letters to me than what it would have cost to just cover the claim. They said that my *** was not medically necessary. I had the *** done anyways, revealed that it was medically necessary. As I continue to face debilitating pain, they continue to deny medically necessary treatment.

THE WORST HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY!!! I am still fighting with them to pay my Providers for last year MRIs and other services. They are giving me the runarounds that are totally false, ex: I was insured with another company, or I was on ********* or I have a different name. They have demanded proofs for all of the above, went to *** to prove to them I was never on ********* Copy of Court documents with the change of my name, and they still denied payment of my claims.Every time I call, I get a different representative and end up with over 25 call reference numbers. They dont communicate among each other departments, ie Medsolution/Abacore/Cigna Resolution Team.I am 66 years old and have been insured for over 45 years and have NEVER ENCOUNTERED A BAD INSURANCE COMPANY AS CIGNA!!!I am now with Aetna and they are THE BEST!

there is a shortage on adderall and generic *************** 27mg tablets. everyone knows that. Tell me why CIGNA is paying my pharmacy $10 total for the prescription when it costs them 5 times that to get. These guys are trying to save money but now I can't get my medicine anywhere because they pay so little. they bought Express Scripts and are using their playbook... which means to cheat pharmacies.
