I have been getting my senior dogs prescription filled at Rite Aid at **** ******* ** Virginia Beach Va and have had no problems until Jan 20, 2023.
I took the prescription from my Vet to the pharmacy as usual explaining to her that the prescription needed to be filled in tablet form as the prescription stated and to please not substitute the liquid form as happened once before. The young lady took the prescription and looked up the account and showed the on duty pharmacist to ensure they had the tablets. After discussing it with the pharmacist she brought the prescription back to me and said they could not fill it because the Vet had not written my address on it and they could not write it on there. All of the prescriptions I have had filled there never had the address written on them so I asked if something had changed from last month when the same exact prescription was filled at the same exact pharmacy. I was not upset and just asked the question, the pharmacist then came to the counter and started telling me that the DEA had strict rules on this medication, to which I asked her if the rules had changed from last month to which she rudely said if you would let me finish and stop jumping down my throat. I told her I was not jumping down her throat but was asking a question. I told her to please proceed and she again stated that the DEA had strict rules on the medication, I again told her I was not questioning the rules but asking if the rules had changed since last month to which she replied no. I then asked if they only enforced the rules sometimes since they had never done it before.
She got upset and told me to leave and never come back. I was a little dumbfounded because I was just asking questions. I asked her for her name which she refused to give so I ten asked for the number to Coporate to which she replied I am sure you can figure it out yourself.
This pharmacist who had a name tag with Lisa on it was very rude and unprofessional.

Go anywhere else. Seriously, anywhere. Every day I get a different explanation for why my medication isn't ready. I am told to opt-in to messaging so I do. The next day I get a message that a prescription is ready so I go to receive it. They aren't sure why I received a message and suggested I opt-out of messaging. I told them I was opting out of them entirely and promptly transferred my prescriptions to an alternate choice, through that store's app, which surprisingly worked. I could never connect to my RIte Aid app. Good riddance. I can see why you completely closed in some parts of the country. I guess you will remain in business due to customers who have no choice but to suffer your incompetence,

I tried contacting customer service to find out how to upload my new insurance card. I first called the 800 number provided on the website and after going through prompt after prompt, they disconnected me twice. Then I tried to do an online chat session and they told me I needed to call the 800 number. The customer service for this corporation is apalling.

I have had it with the way you are dealing with the late meds, the lack of help, the lack of replying to complaints filed, the obvious neglect of your stores, the way your employees talk to customers... I am done with your company. I hope once I start collecting more information, complaints, and signatures you may take what you are doing more seriously.

I have ALWAYS gone to the 6912 New Falls Rd Levittown PA location for approx 20 years or so. Their main pharmacists I truly feel is prejudice of me and the medications I have been on for MANY YEARS at the same dose. I have 28 specialists that I'm under their care and I make sure I advocate for myself and that all drs and the pharmacy have open communication between one another. The main pharmacist at this location is the ONLY ONE who doesn't order my meds to be refilled or has them done on time and has lied to me I found out!
On the other hand Jen whom is a pharmacists there will go above and beyond to ensure I get my meds ontime, works on insurance and communication is outstanding, the way it should be. I go every month 2 back to back sundays for consistency! This main pharmacists does the same thing over and over again and it's exhausting for patients. I ALWAYS call 4 to 5 days prior + the day before to make sure they have my script+in stock. This week she said yes I do and today I go and she doesn't have 2 of them in stock like I was told just yesterday! She knows my schedule and how consistent Iam. I saw a few compliants on FB about this particular pharmacists so now I know I'm not the only patient she does this too. This has happened with her in my case in particular more than 8 times over the last 4yrs. I feel its not right to do esp being on medications you cannot just stop. She knows I'm not a drug seeker and I never ask for early refills on any medications ever for any reason so what her issue is with me and others apparently I truly don't know. If a patient needs their medications filled every 4 weeks those medications NEED TO BE there. If I'm lied or discriminated against one more time I will find another pharmacy. I spend out of pocket $6k to $10k per yr so there isn't a reason to not have my scripts ready on time, not early just on time every 4th Sunday is all I ask. I have never once complained but for many others and on my behalf enough is enough!

Long story short. I went into this Rite Aid in late November of 2022. I went there to buy a box of Thera Flu because I was sick. They told me it was Washington State Law that they "scan" my I.D. for this cold medicine. Without really thinking about it, I let them do it. Then I began to question what I had been told. I looked it up in Washington State Law and also the Department of Pharmacy. Nowhere did it say that it was legally required for stores to "scan" a persons I.D. for ANY cold medicine. It did say that for some they where required to verify age by manually inspecting the I.D. if the person appeared to be under 25 years of age (I'm over 40 years old). I was lied to by both clerk, and store manager that night about this. When confronted with the truth I told them I had looked up in Washington State Law, the store manager quickly walked back his statement by saying, "No, that's our policy, That's a Rite Aid policy.". The fact that they took advantage of me when I was sick and not at the top of my wits in order to obtain all of the information on my Washington State Drivers license and store it in their system for God knows who to access, makes me sick. This is just bad policy, no matter who's it is. This is not the first time a store has demanded my right to privacy in order to sell me their product. I'm tired of having to give out my personal info just to obtain something as petty as a box of cold medicine. I would be happy to show just my D.OB. to people in a situation like this if they so felt the need to verify, but I have never felt so violated and disrespected by a drug store as I was on this night. The all around attitude and deceitfulness I received was unbelievable. I will never shop here again, even if I have to drive 5 miles in the opposite direction to get what I need. Bad Policy, disrespectful people.

Informed my husband who has COPD that they would no longer be carrying his most effective med a full week after he ordered it and 1 dose from being out of it. Suggested I call other pharmacies. Do not trust your life to these incredible hacks.

Went to Rite Aid store in Huntingdon to return some Tylenol. I first called and spoke with Brittany. I felt she was handling the incident. Tyler Kennedy, the pharmacist, gets on the line and was very rude and terse. A Tylenol capsule came apart before opening. Half of the capsule was in the bottle with something in it. In the current society, I refused to keep the bottle and the wanted to return it. While I realize everyone is short-staffed, I was initially very polite until Tyler became rude. It was as if he had bigger “fish” to fry and my concern was petty. There is already a sense of distrust with the pharmaceutical companies. Maybe the pharmacists need to be aware of this.

I went to pick up my wife's prescription to one Rite Aid pharmacy, store was open but pharmacy was close due to lack of staff and a board said to go to another sister branch about 5 miles away, to pick up the prescription. As i went there after about 15 to 20 minutes wasting my time, pharmacist basically said that they can't find the prescription and to call the Doctors office again and have them call to this pharmacy. By this time Dr. Office is also closed, and i was not able to get my wife's medication. Nobody care. Time sensitive medications, vital medications, life saving medication, it doesn't matter, underpaid, over worked pharmacists, pharmacy tec's couldn't be bothered. Corporate doesn't care because they have locked in contracts with insurance companies and some patients don't have a choice. Ultimately patient's suffer, nobody cares.
