No reasonable way to contact them by phone. Entire business is bot based auto answers. They take money and cancel your order without reasonable explanation leaving both you and recipient shocked and disappointed. Lacking company without a responsible leader and very pompous attitudes. Do not waste time or money here!GiftYa

Yeah, this company is a huge scam. Nice try, "****** *." I only got sucked into their scheme because my mom fell for using them to send what she thought was a DoorDash giftcard to her friend. Her friend didn't want to use it because they want your bank account info to sell, or something? So my mom wanted to get the money back to use for herself, then discovered what a major scam this company is, so she transferred it to me so that I could Zelle myself the money... for a $3.99 fee. Basically my mom gave them $35 to get $31.01 back. (maybe... the money has not come through yet.) GiftYa seems to give you the gift balance immediately ONLY IF you give them your bank card info, but then offer a handful of other "outs" with a fee and/or waiting period. I enjoy how desperate their damage control is on this site. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, but you're probably reading this after they've already screwed you over. Dear Giftya: assuming the $31.01 comes through Zelle, my mom would like her $3.99 back, too.GiftYa

Hello Andrew,
I hope this message finds you well. At GiftYa, we take every piece of feedback seriously and appreciate the time you took to share your experience.
Our records indicate that the Zelle Transfer request was approved and completed on 10/10/2024. We offer recipients a variety of options to redeem their GiftYa. Card linking is the recommended method that has no fees and recipients receive an additional $10 incentive to link your bank card. We always publish and communicate fees in advance of a recipient making a redemption selection option. Card linking ensure a recipients gift is secure and fully used and never expires.
We hope this helps clarify the options and use solutions offered by GiftYa.Review fromDustin L

I have used this company a few times to send people gift cards. I really like the idea, plus it's linked to your debit card so you don't have to worry about keeping a ton of gift cards.. I haven't had any issues with this company after using them 5-6 times.people were complaining about them needing a cc number, but that's the whole point of this gift card company. Every company sells your information!! get over it and use the gift card your grandma sent you for your bdayGiftYa

Asking for the recipients **** number there should be no reason to give out her credit card number. after reading numerous complaints on BBB I would like my money back as I dont expect the person I gifted this too to have to provide their credit card info online. I paid for the card no reason to have someone elses credit card numberGiftYa

Hi ****** Thank you for the review. The recipient has multiple ways to redeem a gift. One of those methods is to link their bank card. This prevents fraud and they can receive a $10 incentive do to this. This also ensures the gift is used in full and never lost or stolen. Please do reach out to our team if you need any additional support! **********************************Review fromDerrick R

As many other people already said here, this company is a scam. The gift cards are a horrendous nightmare to try and redeem. Maybe if enough of us initiate a chargeback on the cards we used to pay for it we can have the credit card companies refuse to work with giftya, then they might change their tune. I know I will be asking for a chargeback.GiftYa

This is a horrible and predatory company. They make money by selling your personal financial information by making you enter a credit card to use the gift your family/friends paid for. There is no way to cancel your account through the website!!! Or change privacy settings. Or stop tracking.Their customer support number sends you straight back to the website.GiftYa

In addition, recipients don't need to provide their bank account ****************************** offers recipients redemption options like 1) linking the gift to a regular Credit or Debit card, 2) selecting a physical **** card. or) Transferring to a Zelle account Many recipients prefer to link their normal payment card due to its flexibility, ease of use and security. Dear ******
Thank you for the feedback. We want to ensure that your recipient can redeem their gift in the easiest way possible. We apologize if we have not hit the mark. Our support agents have emailed you a detailed response that better explains how the recipient can redeem their gift. They don't need to link their bank card although this is recommended to avoid losing it, fraudulent activity, or leaving any remaining balance.
The options for the recipient are :
Activate to a Visa, Mastercard or Amex - This will activate the GiftYa to the card and receive the GiftYa credits/refund/reimbursement whenever the linked card is being used to the selected merchant.
1. Get a plastic Visa gift card in the mail - This option will transfer the funds from the GiftYa to a Plastic Visa card that will be mailed to the recipient's shipping address (free).
2. Activate their debit or credit card and then spend as normal at the merchant with that card - we will credit the purchase back to the value of the gift
3. Transfer to Zelle - ****************************************************************************************************************** ($3.99 fee)
Please do let us know by responding to the support agent if we can help you or the recipient further.Review fromVicky C

Unable to receive the gift.I used Giftya to send a Skype gift card to my mother. My mother was unable to to receive the gift, and multiple steps are needed to receive it, starting from confirming the recipient's phone number (why?) to activating - again - by the sender (WHY?). My mother is not very technical, so a nightmare. Eventually, I decided to redeem the card myself and guess what - it's not possible. My options are to add another bank card (WHAT?) to activate (AGAIN?) and add $10 (WHAT?), to swap a merchant (WHY?), to swap for a physical **** gift card (WHY?), to re-gift (no, thanks, nobody deserves this experience), or to send to a bank account with Zelle - as if I have any intention of giving you more information and pay more fees. THERE IS NO OPTION TO REDEEM MY SKYPE GIFTCARD AT *****. I am asking my bank to do a chargeback. This business is a scam to collect as much of your data as possible, to get as many fees as possible and give you nothing.GiftYa
