I was recently out of work due to a health condition. Everything about their process made it difficult to file a claim. They were unable to provide electronic access to the claims portal. My case manager was unresponsive. And in the end they denied the claim despite having the documentation required. I'm out thousands of dollars.

They are deceptive. I had major surgery and was out on short term disibility. My surgeon will not clear me to go back to work yet so because I have been paying long term disibility through my job at ******* I was told when my short term ended it would rollover to long term especially since I have been having $35 taken out of my paycheck for a year. Now this company contacted me asked me a few questions than stated I would have to contact my health insurance provider & have them fax over paperwork, really why? That's there job & than stated this will probably be denied because it would fall under a pre existing condition! NO! it's not Sedqwick for short term had no problem, & the *** for Lincoln Financial also stated it would probably take about 45 days to get an answer, what???? So how do I paymy bills. Or eat or do anything especially when I have paid for this??? Thiscompany to me is a sham & should be investigated by the Insurance Commissioner for what bogus terms they have. And ******* should as well

Junk website. Incompetent employees. Will burn your time for little or nothing. These turnips have no blood. 60 days of back and forth. No results. My employer chose this company probably because they are cheap. And you get what you pay for. You have to wait 24 hours just to get a response from your case worker. And they are not gonna be helpful. Grind you down until you give up. But Lincoln Financial will still be raking in the premiums. Should be a law against crooks using Honest Abes name to make themselves look honest!

Called their "help line" 3 times in the last hour and have had the automated system hang up on me each time when they are supposed to be sending my call to a representative. I've waited 30 minutes now with no call back, not that I expect one. Without my prior knowledge, they have put my *** funds into some annuity that pays out about 0.1% each month with a 0.1% fee per quarter. Also, it appears to be impossible to change my investment from this scam of an "investment", at least without successfully navigating their phone line. To be clear, their annuity seems to be paying off at a 1.2% interest per year (but they get to keep a 1/3 of that) in a time period where I could go to any bank or broker and get a 4.5% - 6% CD or high yield savings account. This means that Lincoln is making at least 5% on my money while I make 0.8% during a historic bull market. All without my prior approval or, apparently, any ability to actually change it. I have investment accounts with 3 other brokers and have never dealt with such negligence/incompetence.

I would also rate this company with ---0 !! My son was denied Short and Long term disability Group coverage because he had Covid-19."According to our underwriting guidelines, we are unable to provide coverage due to your medical history of treatment and hospitalization for COVID-19.Due to the confidential nature of your medical history, it is our policy to not discuss the details of our decision over the phone".I will be looking into the State ********** as suggested.BAD NEWS !!!

Just as others have stated. A request that use to take 4 to 5 business days to process has turned into 3 months and counting. I am definitely closing this account if I am ever able to. **************** is a calling center with a lot of background noise and never the same answers to the same questions. Very disappointed. I am will be terminating the 403b plan with Lincoln Financial.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am an HR professional, and unfortunately, my company utilizes Lincoln Financial Group for our short and long-term disability. They are nothing short of a nightmare to deal with. I have had employees out for months, and they have not received one payment. Most of our employees are back to work before they receive anything. This is a pathetic excuse for a company. HR folks, do NOT let your employer utilize LFG for any of your benefits unless you enjoy making your employees unhappy.

Lincoln financial group is a joke. They tell you they have 7 to 10 business days after receiving documentation for an approval but when you upload documents it tells you it will be reviewed in 3 business days. You never know when or if you are going ro get paid and when you call and leave a message for your claims examiner to call you back they never call you back. Being out on short term disability has been a for sure nightmare dealing with this group. Worse company to ever deal with. They need to be shut down.

I hold a Lincoln universal life policy that I've had for some 30 years. I called them because I had questions. When their phone picked up I was greeted that I was a lucky winner to win a free medical alert device. To make a long story short, the operator began to ask me questions about my health. For example, did I have heart problems, did I have falls, etc. In the end it turns out the medical device is free but the cost is $49 per month. It appears to me that this is nothing more than data harvesting of my personal information by the insurance company. So use caution. After talking with this person, I called again and spoke with a representative who told me my quarterly payments had gone up $500 since their estimate of 5 days ago. Use caution when dealing with Lincoln or any other life insurance company.
