      Amica customer for over 15 years. My car claim was deemed a total loss and now having to deal with a total loss **** agent, out of ******, *****. To say that this person is the most condescending, unprofessional, rude, arrogant person I've ever met is an understatement. I asked that my claim be given to another agent - very simple request. I've been told this **** has hundreds of employees. They are unable to fulfill my request. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

      I have had then for auto and home owners for years. Anytime I have had to change anything they s**** it up and never follow through with what they say they will do. You get a different answer depending on who you talk to. No exaggeration, I had to call them six times to just get my wife and her car added to my policy. They screwed it up differently every time I talked to them. I don't care that they are the cheapest show in town, I am going somewhere else and paying more just to get away from them. Terrible company.

      Non-************************* but whatever is left is Shady. I talked to tone agent and got one story I talked to another agent got another story. I thought what the heck let's roll the dice and start off with some renters insurance. As soon as they had all my money all the sudden it's like a black hole where you get no response no help. They don't even confirm when you add a scheduled item that it's insured or not. Have you ever heard of Amica Insurance? I've been around the block many times I've never heard of them I've heard of Allstate I've heard of Safeco I've heard of Farmers and State Farm but I've never heard of Amica and I should have let it stay that way. If you want a lot of headache and hair pulling and I mean pulling out your own hair then go ahead and roll the dice and go with the Amid and see what happens.

      We worked for a home owner who has Amica as their insurance. We have completed job one of two. We are waiting for the payment for job 1 and have been told that payment was processed and sent we submitted the bill before the 4th and still haven't received it. Talk about snail mail. I will definitely think twice before bidding on a job for Amica again

      Insurance companies don't have a bad reputation for nothing. I've been cancer-free for over 4 years and they refused my application. While to some extent I understand the hesitancy, cancer has become so common and many are cured for good these days. The whole process was a pain. If they are going to deny cancer survivors, they should just state so outright and avoid the lengthy, evaluation process. I wouldn't have wasted my time.

      Our family had Amica years ago, they have wrote something negative against us, because we cannot get other insurances and they will not let us know what was written. (Blackballed). We released our insurance with them due to finances. They have a bad reputation in my opinion, I will not use Amica as long as they are in business.

      The rep was very rude. I received an invitation so I called to find out my quotes and the rep told me that hes not interested in insuring my house or cars cuz my house seems to have streaking granular loss discoloration based on the appearance look solely by satlites but my roof was done 10 years ago and i have many trees sounding my house thus many tree shades on my roof that he cannot examine the conditions of my roof accurately so how would he know? Also, he said that he couldnt insure my cars just cuz only one ticket due to the car accident after we talked for 45 minutes on the phone; If thats the case he could have told me in the beginning so we both didnt have to waste our times. Amica likes to decline people whatever unreasonable reasons they find and especially the tones of the reps ***** was very mean too, I felt as though I wasnt treated as a customer at all due to their impoliteness and how they make me feel was awful. They are not customer friendly or they dont put customers priority at all and very defensive when they speak and mostly rude, unbelievable. It was a terrible experience with them.

      Amica has traditionally been a high integrity company however they are now doing the same "Bait and Switch" that other life insurance companies have been doing for years. It's always sad when a good company goes bad.*********************

      We attempted to get home insurance, car insurance, a rentals insurance and an umbrella poicly from Amica. They told us that our neighborhood was in a forest fire hazard area and that we couldnt be insured. First off, we live in the suburbs of **********, where there has not been a forest fire ever, becuase there is no forest to catch fire. Second, when I spoke with State Farm and Progressive about this, they both assured me that we were not zoned in Forest fire zone and that we actually lived in one of the safest, cheapest places to insure a home in the entire state. Third...who doesn't offer insurance to people that actually need it, like people that are in danger of their home being caught in a forest fire? Dodged a bullet here I suppose

      We too have been Amica customers for 30 years, including renters insurance and homes in *********, ******, *********** and ********. We were just informed that our homeowner's insurance rates are going from $11,679/year to $28,199/year. First agent, *******, I spoke with told me it was fire risk (we actually live in ******, a mile from the *****************). Second agent told me it was "age & condition" of our roof, and our roof is from 2009. When I told her, *****, that I'd replace the roof, she said she could save me $9,000 and when I said that is still almost a doubling of my rates she said "yep". I am amazed that fires in the ******** mountains and foothills can nearly triple rates in downtown ****** and the surrounding area. I am further amazed that Amica has zero loyalty, but, like ************ below, I imagine Amica will thank me for my business all these years. What a shame.
