      I have been a *** member for many years but feel compelled to make a complaint about a recent experience.My daughter, age 24, *** member, driving for one year, had to call for *** service after her car died just off Rt 95 in *********** on Wednesday, July 13th at approx. ****pm. She called me, slightly panicked, and I told her to call *** and request a tow to our local garage in **********. She called ***, told them she was stranded, alone, at the side of the road and was told that the earliest that they could be there was approx 3 hrs time. THREE HOURS!!!! A SINGLE FEMALE, ALONE, AT THE SIDE OF THE **** IN A REMOTE LOCATION. The dispatcher was completely unsympathetic and bascially didnt care that she was alone, in a remote spot. My daughter called me back and I advised her to call again which she did. Dispatcher #2 was no more helpful than #1, and in fact said they were still looking for a tow driver. She called a third time, and dispatcher #3 was slightly more helpful- he told her that the tow truck was coming from ********, **!!!! Over 3 hrs away. I can't believe that *** were unable to source someone closer, and in a shorter time, for a single female, alone at the side of the road. I am also disgusted with how my daughter was treated on the phone - no compassion or care was shown whatsover. I was always led to believe that *** prioritised calls esepcailly for single females, alone, in a remote location. I would like some proof that there was no-one availbe either sooner or closer, along with a written apoplogy from the head of AAA Northeast along with an offer of appropriate compensation for the stress caused to my daughter. I was able to pick her up a few hours later but there was still no sign of the tow truck. It apparently showed up around ***** according to the *** website. This whole episode was just shocking to me, and a parent's worst nightmare. *************************, ************, ***# ****************

      July 12, 2022 I called AAA with a flat tire 6:43 pm. I was at the toll in ****, *****. 19 exit 7 A driver was dispatched and arrived at 9:20 pm.My vehicle make does not have a spare. He stated he could not tow me to **********, **, but he would tow me to a safe place to wait for a tow. The place was a park and drive remote place. No bathroom facilities, dark and scary. I told him I did not feel safe. He stated that a tow was scheduled to come for me. After two hours of waiting I called AAA. The woman said she had the order but there was not a tow available. I then called the police. I was informed that a tow could come but I would have to pay out of pocket. Within 20 minutes the state police and tow appeared. ********************* towed me to Manchester for ******. [Invoice #******]AAA did not call back until the following day stating they did not have a tow. Finally at 2:20 am I arrived home. Needless to say I am a 66 years old female. I am filing the application for reimbursement.I paid for the best AAA services and was left to my own devices when in need. Not to mention I feared for my life and felt as though I was dumped out of the way so no one can see their mess.Is this normal practice? AAA states the offer of roadside assistance but didn't provide the service. Thank you.

      On June 18, 2022 , at approximately 5:30 pm, my daughter hit a pothole and severely damaged our car, so that it was completely disabled on a very busy road. I placed the call for her to AAA for a tow, as she was dealing with police who had arrived due to the very dangerous spot where she was located. I provided the information, as well as the fact that my daughters life was in danger where she was, and that she required a tow as the car could not be moved. I also informed them of the police involvement. After an hour, due to the level of danger in which my daughter was waiting, the police called a different tow company to provide the necessary tow. At that time, I wrote the attached letter to AAA, directed to the Dir of Member Relations with a copy to the **** Please refer to it, as it provides more detail with respect to this problem.Then, on July 12, 2022 at 7:45 am, I called for service again and was provided with a time of arrival of 8;20 for the service to be provided. When no one had arrived at 8:30, I contacted the service provider, again *****************, and was given an updated time of arrival of 9:30, with no explanation as to why, I called AAA about this issue, and was referred to member relations.I called member relations and spoke to *****, who said she would take my complaint. I mentioned that I had previous problems with *****************, and that this was probably my 5th complaint about *****************. She casually mentioned receipt of my letter regarding the previous service call, and acknowledged that they felt they had resolved it. No one had ever reached out in response. As such, I requested that ******************* back my current complaint and was informed that my own words were now "proprietary" and that I needed a court order to obtain a copy of my complaint, as she had recorded it in her notes. I was also informed that I cannot access any information regarding the investigation or outcome, as that was also proprietary.

      On 6/15/22 I had a flat tire and called AAA - I have been a member for 17 years and have only once or twice used their service. I had to wait on the side of the road in scorching 95 degree weather for2.5 hours. After multiple call to AAA, I received a call from one of their service technicians that he could be there in 10 minutes IF I PAID HIM DIRECTLY, and that AAA didn't pay him enough. You can imagine my outrage!I called AAA when I finally returned home and complained about the poor/lack of service I received.I spoke with multiple supervisors and demanded a refund of my membership dues for the year, which was finally granted in the amount of $148.00. That was 6/15/22. I have made multiple follow up phone calls (being placed on hold for ***** minutes each time) to only be told that the check was issued and that I must wait.TO TODAY'S DATE 7/12/22, I HAVE YET TO RECIEVE A CHECK !!I am asking for a refund of my dues which was agreed upon but not receivec and for the BBB to assist.Thank you

      I'm paying for roadside service that is never available when you request it. I placed a call for a brokedown vehicle at 2pm after repeatedly being lied to about the time of arrival a tow truck never came. As of 7:30pm that same day I was left stranded in my hit vehicle with nothing but lies from AAA dispatch and being hung up on. This same thing happened in October 2021.
