Abusers of financially vulnerable consumers. Violates UDAAP laws by abusing consumers with fees. Repossessed my car without my notice and took my personal items. I have to pay a personal item fee to get my own things back.

I open an account here and signed up to not receive overdraft protection so if I didnt have the funds, my debit card would be declined well I wake up this morning April 18 on a Tuesday and find my account almost $300 negative come to find out one of my transactions put me in the negative after adding $190 from my business account to my personal account so I called them and they say oh its up to our discretion meaning the bank to approve or not approve something if you dont have overdraft protection, which is against the law, I opt out of overdraft protection, so my debit card would be declined if I did not have the funds available in my account Now this account is going to go into collections because I dont have the money to put back into it.

Citizens Bank was the only bank I had ever had up until this year since I was 18 years old. I've given them almost 15 years of business. However when it came to investigating my fraud claims that just happened this past year, no one ever contacted me about it from the bank, they fired the banker that was actively trying to help me, and they told me that if I didn't somehow come up with the money within 60 days they were going to close my account and let it hit my credit. Having to go into one of their branches for anything other than operating an ATM lately has been worse than going to the post office or the *** combined. Hold times on the phone are absolutely ridiculous, Even for the people who work at the bank. And they advertise their partnership with ***** as being the safest way to transfer money but when I got scammed through zelle there was no protection and no help for me. I will never use this bank again

I had an issue with citizens, about them not informing me about being overdrawn on my account and ended up having them tack on $125.00 in fees in 3 days! The tech support took one few and the teller another AS I WAS SIGNED UP TO BE NOTIFIED ABOUT OVERDRAFT FEES AND EVERYTHING ELSE! But I never got notified! ACCORDING TO THE TELLERS I WAS STILL ON THE NOTIFY LIST! Was trying to resolve this issue with them and called support referred to their CURRENT ADS about being notified about overdraft and I got yelled at from customer support and then hung up on after being on hold for 1hr! I havent had a job, so I deposited money into one account, and was YET AGAIN UNNOTIFIED when they took that money to satisfy the overdrawn account! Asked if they could reverse it so I could have money to get places and stuff to try to get a job, and the branch manager from another store called to follow up on my concerns about this issue, and ended with, well I keep track of my money, why arent you able to keep track of yours? And I said to him, wow coming from the bank that advertises that they will notify their customers about this sort of stuff? And hung up on him! THIS BANK IS FULL OF CHEATS LIARS AND FRAUDULENT ADS! WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK! BETWEEN EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY, we have OVER 30+ ACCOUNTS AND I AM GOING TO TELL EVERYONE OF THEM TO PULL THEIR MONEY FROM THESE FRAUDS! 3PROBLEMS IN ONE WEEK IS THREE TOO MANY!!!! DONT BANK HERE! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

****** Z is the rudest and most unprofessional customer representative/manager I have dealt with. He reluctantly refused to help in any way. I will not bank with Citizens Bank. DO NOT PUT YOUR MONEY IN THIS BANK AS THEY ARE ***** OF THIEVES. Even if, you have 2 to 3 times your spending limit, they will refuse to increase your daily spending limit. ************** told me CITIZEN BANK does not have all my money available. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BANK WITH CITIZEN BANK.

I am super frustrated with this bank. First they took over my free checking account from ***** and than starting charging me $25 monthly for the account. I requested to transfer my money out of this account and close the account. 2 month later i receive a mail with a threat from Citizens bank that my account (which was requested to be closed) is overdrawn and that that they will report me to the credit reporting agencies and that this will be reflected in my credit score. So i called them again, this time i was told that i have to pay the fees for the last 2 month now before my account can get closed. So i paid again fees for an already closed account and than got told that the account can not be closed yet, i have to wait until the money shows on the account than call again. I am paying since month now for an account that i never opened, that i never wanted, and it seems like there is always an excuse that the account can not be closed.

Im only giving a two star review since Ive had both a savings and checking account with Citizens for about 25 years. This is my first complaint. I was charged interest on my **** account as I was told by ******* M a few minutes ago that I had to have two consecutive paid in full months before interest would stop being charged. I dont understand this and think its just a racket to steal money from people. If a bill is paid in full, no interest should ever be charged. I have other accounts at another bank and am considering to stop dealing with Citizens. What a horrible way to treat a retired person. ** also putting in a complaint to BBB in a few minutes.

I unfortunately fell for a scam when I applied for a position. The fake employer used Citizens Bank to perpetrate the fraud. i notified the ************************* the BBB Scam Tracker, my local *** field and the ***'s Internet ********************** as well as the Credit Bureaus. I thought I should notify the bank the scammers were using so the bank would be aware that they have a cusomer that is scamming elderly citizens using their Citizens Bank account. I have the bank routing number and bank account of the scammer. After more than an hour of calling all the numbers at their headquarters website, I finally got a human when I call the new accounts number. The new accounts representative was very professional and stated I needed to talk to a supervisor. The supervisor was very ****** and not interested. I told him I cannot believe that you do not care that you have a bank customer who is ripping the elderly off and the bank representative did not even want any of the information I have. .I think he wanted plausiable deniabiliy but not taking mu information. He could fein the bank was unaware.

I opened an account with this company to receive a bonus. I met all required conditions of the offer and have not received it as of yet. Every time I call them their customer service puts me on hold for ***** minutes multiple times in a row. Seriously unprofessional and a disgraceful display of service. Making excuses and passing blame to other departments internally will not get you very far.
