Seriously one of the worst of the worst. Sold my home and needed additional documentation from them - 2 hour phone wait then was disconnected. Again, waiting on tax documents that should have been here in the beginning of the month - still haven't received and so far on hold for 1/2 hour/ RUN don't walk away from this company. They have NO customer service whatsoever.

I had a joint account with my father. When he passed, they shut me out of all accounts even though I had provided them with copies of his death certificate, the will, my POA, and all the forms they asked for. They kept asking for more forms. They have ONE phone number that even if you call it, will not pick up. They sent letters asking for more forms in order to allow me, an owner of the accounts, to access my accounts. Because I can't get online, I can't access the tax forms I need to file my dad's taxes, and they didn't send them either. Their online "chat" hasn't responded in 45 minutes. I will absolutely pull out all these stupid CD's once they are due. Horrible bank to deal with.

We purchased a Xbox X at Target on May 11th 2022 and they required it to be financed through Citizens. The price of the console was $499, but we did not understand that somehow we also had agreed to pay another $400 for XBox All Access. We already were paying for XBox Gold for our son, and had only intended to purchase the new XBox model. The additional required "game pass" was not communicated, both in the statement provided by Citizens and the recipe provided by Target confirming the order. Citizens made no attempt to help correct the misunderstanding and insisted we pay for the service we did not want. I could have bought this console from various businesses for the same cost Target had advertised. Amazon and ******* have this product at the same cost of $499. This was a bait and switch practice that surprises consumers with hidden subscription costs, who made the transaction on good faith. At this time Target seems to have removed this product from their web site. Very shady considering my experience.

Businesses - STAY AWAY! We had over $200k stolen from our business account! We hadn't used this acct. in almost a year! When we asked about their fraud notification policy and WHY we were not notified, they stated they have "many business customers that use ACH everyday and we don't block their ACH's from going through." DO NOT BANK WITH THEM! If they can't protect your investments and DO NOT notify you of fraud activity - in this day and age, your funds will be stolen!

Calling this a "bank" is generous. They **** me in to making a deposit with a high interest rate. Although I did some due diligence beforehand something felt off with them, so I deposited a smaller amount of money to test their processes instead of transferring my entire holdings over (Thank God). The check I deposited has been pending for over one month and the review is projected to take AN ADDITIONAL 3 MONTHS. NO ONE at Citizens is able to provide me with any information as to why this is happening other than the "Deposit is under review." I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with various people at the call center being routed around to various "supervisors" who have no helpful information. I eventually called enough times I was routed to someone who claimed to be a step above the call center. Allegedly, according to this person, if I contact the person who initially wrote the check and have them contact the bank of check issuer to cancel the check, you can then have them re-write the check and deposit that check to another bank. I have no reason to believe this will work, and do not want to involve another party in this ridiculous work around to alleviate Citizens' responsibility. This was the bank's only solution. Citizens was unwilling to take initiative, answer any questions, direct me to someone who can help, or have me discuss the review process with the person performing the review. I question if the "bank" has any intention of clearing the deposit or if they just stole my money. Essentially I've been forced into a 4 month CD against my will (best case scenario).

I am very disappointed. My bank account was hacked for over ********* . Let me start with its a savings account! Don't use it on any computers. After my account being hacked and I speak with customer service to file claims they never do. Also citizens didn't catch it . The other institution did. No one called emailed sent a letter.....NOTHING! Fast forward. Claims filed and accounts and mobile banking froze. I go in to check on my account and there still letting my account get hacked. I closed my accounts never will go back and advise you to stay away. I'm still waiting on the new hacked money to come back. Worst bank ever!

Twice now in the past 12 months I made my personal loan payment and Citizens Bank cant even apply the payment to my account correctly. Then I get harassed by their collections department continually about missing a payment and they are holding the $. Sad business practice and really sad they cant get organized enough to do a basic payment entry in their systems, but rest assured they already cashed my check for the payment they harass me for with calls and nasty emails. They prefer to hold your $ and harass you for no reason for payment. Then I contact them and I get the run-a-round and spend countless hours trying to get them to find the $ I paid already and the ** team just cares about making sure your contact info is correct so they can continue to harass you for a payment they already have. There are much better banks out there to use and I will never use ************** for anything whatsoever in the future. Psthey deserve ZERO stars in this review not even one star.

Citizens Bank is the worst bank i've ever done business with and not by choice. After they merged with **** iv'e suddenly had nothing but trouble with them and my accounts. To keep it short and simple after they researched my claim about their customer service misleading me with wrong information about my account that affected my credit they have chosen not to correct the damage they've done to my credit. I've closed all my accounts there, my recommendation is to stay far away from this bank.

Receiving a fraud alert when trying to make a purchase with my account and my account has been disabled. **************** stated we'll be in touch in four business days. It's been 5 business days, no response to calls or emails. On the last call, they informed me that if I don't hear back after 4 business days, wait another 4 and then call again. Usually, time is of the essence with fraud, but I guess they think otherwise.
