      Employees routinely change my contact number.They have blocked my debit card and the system does not allow me to unblock it on line. Citizens had not given a reason why the card has been blocked for the past 3 weeks.

      Every month they decline my payment to my website company. This causes my website to go down for a few days and cost me money. Every time there is real fraud on my debit card they never stop it and I have to wait to get my money back. When you call in. You can never speak to anyone in ******* or American unless you're super lucky. You never know if it's a scam or not. It's ridiculous

      My bank card had some fraud (my fault). Citizens has been utterly incapable of being slightly competent during this process. I called (multiple time), finally scheduled a payment, and watched it go through. I have received FOUR calls a day from collections for three weeks. They NEVER ONCE left me a voicemail. It has gone to spam every time. I finally called the number back to see who it was. How the *** are they so incompetent? It shouldnt be hard to see a payment. It shouldnt be hard to leave a voicemail if you are actually concerned. And it shouldnt be hard to NOT harass you customers for no reason.

      I only selected a star to write this review.Citizens Bank is the worst banking experience that I have ever had.When I made an attempt to use the card eight out of ten times it did not work. I ***eatedly had to go into a branch to have my card reinstated. I vowed to pay off my account balance and to never use my card ********** forward to last week I lost my debit card and had to use it. Once again in an emergency I could not use the card. After four attempts I called in to find out if for the countless time why my card was not working. Once again the *** sent me a code that did not work and I had to go into the branch. Not wanting to deal with them again I went to ***** to take out money until my new debit card arrived. Today I received my credit dispute results and find out that my account was closed.Not once did the *** tell me this. I would have never found out if I didnt receive my dispute results.I called today and found out that my entire account was closed as a result of my dispute.The supervisor claimed that Experian stated identity theft, which isnt the case at all. I disputed my balance, so that my ***ort would be accurate.The manager said that its bank policy to close the accounr, so unlike most banks instead of issuing a new card they close your accounr.Overall, I would never recommend this bank to anyone. It has been a terrible experience and ending. My account for 17 years from **** was transferred to them and from day one it has been nothing but a hassle from using the card to creating an online account.If you want a card that you could rely in and will work where you live or if you travel go else where. As there is a chance that you will be stranded if using a ************* card is your inly option.

      If I could put Zero stars, I would. My husband and I own a business, and (as most business owners do), we use every legal avenue possible to reduce our business income. That being said, we have excellent credit (over 800) and over $800k in equity on our home. We were looking to secure a short-term HELOC for some home improvements, which we would have paid off that same year. I provided tax returns, business statements, had an appraisal done to confirm equity, etc. Their first step, before looking at anything, was to run our credit. No problems there. Then they ran the appraisal (again, it showed we had waaaay more equity than was needed to secure a heloc). It was only after all that that they reviewed our income and decided that (even though we had paid cash for a $300k airplane two years ago and put $130k cash into it the following year), we didnt make enough income to secure a heloc. After running our credit, doing the appraisal, etc - weeks later, thats when they decided we didnt make enough money. I explained that the income was low due to the aircraft purchase and improvements, but our revenue was terrific. His response? Well, all we care about is the bottom line. Thanks, Citizens. You dinged our credit just to tell us we dont make enough money to secure a $100k heloc with $800k equityeven though we somehow had enough to purchase an aircraft. Maybe in the future, look at the big picture. Im very happy to have not given this company any money. And FYI, we found another lender who GLADLY lent us the moneywhich we had paid back in 4 months.

      I set up a online transaction from this bank to an external bank on Tuesday and it was scheduled to go to other bank on Friday. They put this transaction on hold for reasons unknown. I called customer service and they removed the hold. an hour later or so, They suspended the transaction for reasons unknown. I called them again next day/Wednesday and they removed the suspension on transaction. Later I noticed that it was still on hold. I had to talk to online customer service to remove the hold again. I had to reinitiate transaction but this time it was scheduled to deliver to other bank on Tuesday of following week. Their customer service is poor. They couldn't properly explain why it took 3 days for delivery in first transaction and 4 days in the second transaction. I made a comment that they want to retain the funds in their bank longer as their interest rate was very low 0,1% or something low. They are trying to cheat/manipulate their customers to their advantage and this need to stop.

      The bank manager and his assistant at the citizens Bank on Brattel St Are unprofessional Mean. No empathy or compassion I had to put a temporary hold on my account CS told me go into the branch to unlock the hold Well my ID expired but I had plenty of information to provide that I was me and information to provide to remove the hold he asked me questions only I know and the manager could see I was telling the truth Long story short the manager would not lift the hold nor would he let me take our $20 to get home I asked can you please let me take our $ to get home I had no cash He said no I said how am I going to get home walk? He said yes Now at this time it's dark out awful service really mean unkind management I am a senior citizen with my health issues I will never enter that branch again

      There was an online promo of a $500 bonus for new money of $10k for keeping it for 5 months. I opened an account 4/28/24. I did call 2x re the promo just to confirm sometime July, then on my account's 5th month - September -looking for the bonus where I was told to wait end of October. But it never came & when I called they said I was ineligible. This made me frustrated and furious as I spoke to at least 2 agents discussing my account, making sure it was meeting its requirements and I even looked for the bonus, but none of them corrected me that I was ineligible, no accountability from the part of the agents. I could have had better made use of this and withdrawn earlier at other banks. Couldn't even withdraw the full 10k as it's max of *****/day. Talk about hardships in withdrawals as compared to deposits. Sadly, this was not the first time I had a bad experience with Citizens. So, clients just beware. Not to mention that not all agents are nice- with a supposedly supervisor just coldly saying Hello without any introduction. Retrain them to be nice enough to work in the customer service industry esp with already irate customers.Thumbs down. No wonder all the ****** reviews here.

      They randomly Closed my account I found out when I attempted to Login to my Account to my app I Reached out to support they told me my account is under review to determine if they want to continue a relationship with me and that I will receive a letter in 10 days. I just use my account for savings and had direct deposit. I dont understand why this is happening. I use my card for basic data expenses, such as gas food bills. Now I have to wait for my money to be sent in a check. I think they do this just to take your money.
