      They are offering several promotions online. I applied for one for a checking account but didnt see it added a savings account as well. I call and she sent a link to me. I filled it out and was waiting. Then I was told there would be no bonus and it was only online. I cancelled. I went to try online again and they immediately denied my application. ****

      Numerous accounts of ours have been scammed. Fake checks with totally different names, phony transactions in the exact same amounts repeatedly on multiple different accounts. They say they freeze the accounts but fraud transactions continue to show up. Local branch repeatedly points us to a phone number where they hardly speak English and truly do not understand the gravity of the situation. We have checks send to the *** for taxes written out of one of the accounts and it is being repeatedly frauded but cannot close it due to the outstanding checks that still need to come out of it. It's been 5 or more separate accounts frauded for tens of thousands of dollars. They have always given us our money back but that has not stopped the problems from affecting us due to checks being returned *** and other issues. It's absolutely ridiculous. They have never come up with any explanations for these issues. We have not had fraud on any accounts through any other institutions.

      I opened a basic checking account with ********************** after banking with my previous bank for 8 years. I setup my direct deposit and everything and routed my incoming checks to my new account. HOWEVER, within a matter of 3 days, they locked me out of my account and my money remained. I had to call 4 different times and speak with multiple people who couldnt give me a single answer as to WHY my account was closed, and the money was unavailable to even withdraw. I had my bills do to be paid, and they gave me every excuse under the sun to not have to deal with the issue. They said the *********** made a decision to cease the relationship with no reason! Now, Im still fighting to try and get my money out of this account! Ive never had the pleasure of experiencing such incompetence and lack of consideration on behalf of a bank before. They dont seem to understand you cant do this to people. If my money isnt returned I will be seeking legal counsel due to my bills and rent being LATE thanks to these shady bank practices.

      Citizens1 must be the worst bank in the world with the most incompetent employees and lamest policies. After 20 years with them, they have frozen our credit card due to a "fraud alert", which has since been resolved.Still though, they refuse to re-enable our card, especially since we earned a $400 credit. We have cooperated with every one of their requirements to re-enable the card, and still they refuse to allow us use of it, and will not send us a check for the credited amount. Stay away from this horrible outfit; never do any business with them. They are both liars and stupidly incompetent.

      We asked them to refinance our loan for 15 years at a lower interest rate but they scammed us by financing our loan for 19. We trusted this Corporation and they took advantage of us! I have seen bad reviews and scams from this bank from everything from credit cards, checking accounts and ***********************. Buyer beware this bank is not trustworthy!Be sure to read everything on your loan carefully and thoroughly because they have a bad reputation and wouldnt allow me to speak to a supervisor when I called customer service. They do not care about their customers. Took out a 15 year loan in 2014 and they are charging us for 19 years ( until 2033! Do not trust them! In fact I would hire a lawyer to review anything you do with Citizens Bank.

      I am self-employed and I have been banking with Citizens Bank for over 20 years. Recently, I had a check stolen and my business account was compromised. My check was washed and $4000 was stolen. I caught it immediately, and subsequently went into my local branch in ******************* and requested to have my account closed and the money refunded. The money was refunded, but the account was not terminated by the staff at Citizens due to an error. Thus it continued to be open without my knowledge and $2000 was stolen in the same manner. I felt blind sighted, as I had thought I closed the account. Now, over 6 weeks have passed since the initial fraud. I am continuously being charged for overdrafting because the claim has not yet been processed. I have gone into the local branch multiple times and while the associate is trying her best, the system that is set up does not support a reasonable resolution to this problem. Today, without my consent, over $800 was taken from my personal account. The apparent rationale was that I overdrafted (again from the account where fraud occurred, that I have tried to close). I went into the local branch today and after speaking with the associate, the manager, and several other staff on the phone, there is nothing that can be done at this time besides wait for the claim to be reviewed. It is unknown if more money will be withdrawn from my personal account without my knowledge.When my check was stolen, I felt violated. Now, as my concerns continue to be unaddressed by the bank and intermittent charges are continuously made to my account, I feel ignored, vulnerable, and uncertain of what to do next. I feel frustrated about the amount of time that this has taken, and despite my efforts, the situation remains unresolved.

      My Wife and I just open an two accounts one in our name and another in my son's name but they made an error because my son is disabled and I have to take care of his matter's and I have a power of attorney from the lawyer. Well anyway they put both account's one in my wife and I account and another one with my name and it supposed to be in my son's name. They made the error and put it in my name instead of his and if your all new customer's you supposed to get promotional bonuses. We got one in my wife and I but since the other one wasn't in my son's name and I'm a proxy they made the error and put in my name. So we didn't get the additional bonus. I want everybody to know don't sign up with citizen's bank there phony and LiAR's period

      Horrible customer service been trying for 3 months now to dispute a late payment that ended up hurting my credit card been trying to get it fix and can't get a hold of someone and no one can help or just keep on transfered to someone else who has no idea how to help.

      Citizens Bank is a good bank and they should be shut down by the federal government. On September 10, 2024. I applied for a loan on the Apple website to purchase an iPhone 16 and I was denied. However, Citizens bank went ahead to take money from my Debit Card. When I called Citizens bank this morning to find out why they took money from my Debit Card when they did approve my loan?. I was told that it is their policy to take money from customers' Debit cards and place it on hold while the customers were not approved. The customer representative was very rude as h*** When I asked their representatives when they would release my money, she told me it would take 24 to 48 hours. I am encouraging future customers to think twice before applying for Citizens Bank loans.

      **********, was a customer for over 10 years with multiple accounts. We moved out of state and there was no citizens banks near us. So I had to close accounts and get a new bank. The 1st time I tried a had a positive balance left of like 5 dollars, the person told me it had to be a 0 balance before I could close it. After a few days I got the balance to 0. I called and they told me the account was closed. Then after a couple week I get a call saying I had a negative balance. I look and I have all these overdraft fees. So I call and said the account was closed so nothing should have went through. Then they tell me I had stuff pending, so I call again to settle up but they still wont let me that day. I just wrote another check to get my account to 0 paying fees I shouldnt have had to pay. Then I will be on hold tomorrow to make sure the account is closed, hopefully they close it. Such a scam to treat customers who have been with them over 10 years to overcharge them for few hundred dollars that they didnt even spend.
