On Feb 6 2025. My son went to their **************, ******* location to do a steppe test. We were told by main office and local clinic before the test that the test was $35 to $70 (the fee is still listed as $35 from their main office message). The test last about a couple of minutes. Nothing else was done for the visit. We just found out the clinic scammed my insurance company for a total $410.9 doctor's visit. and we ended with $122.64. This is unacceptable. They need to correct the false charge and issue a refund.Business Response

We were told $35 - $75 for the strep test. Lied later called a less than 2 minutes test a $410.90 doctor's visit. There were no doctor's at the location. A girl came out swap and went in did a test. We never talked to anyone. what a scam.

MinuteClinic bills patients based on the amount provided by their insurance under patient responsibility, which is determined by the patient's benefit package. Therefore, MinuteClinic recommends that patients contact their insurance provider prior to receiving services to verify co-insurance, ******, or deductible amounts due. This ensures that patients are fully aware of their financial responsibilities and helps avoid any unexpected charges. MinuteClinic has discuss this with the patient and considers the matter closed.Customer Answer

[No, the truth is you lied about "doctor visit" to my insurance company. You only had a clerk came out swapped throat, no communication, no doctor involved in this less than 2 minute visit.]

I attended Minuteclinic at **************************************************************** on 1/24/25. I received 2 vaccines, and they have my insurance information. They somehow billed an incorrect/outdated insurance policy, and on 2/17/25 they billed my **** ***** Fargo credit card on file for ****** without notice or a call or to check to see if they had billed an outdated policy. I was notified by a very basic receipt in my email that they had charged my "card on file". I called ***** and was told they would resubmit the bill to my correct insurance, but they would NOT credit my charge back. It is now 3/7/25, they HAVE BEEN PAID BY MY INSURANCE on 2/25/25 per EOB statement attached. They still have not refunded the ****** they charged me for a flu shot and a covid shot. I have called the ***** number and been hung up on, I have gone to the location and no one there can do anything. I have disputed this charge with **** out of necessity. They CANNOT charge 2 forms of payment at the same time.Business Response

High level, my son went to Minute Clinic part of CVS when he was not feeling ******* son is unemployed and was obviously not feeling well, hence the visit. He was seen by a nurse practitioner to whom he incorrectly gave an insurance card . (The card was no longer valid)They went ahead and charged him $460.22 for a visit that was little help We have tried on two occasions to ask CVS to reduce the bill because he is unemployed, not insured and cannot afford this. ( My wife sees specialist and that costs between $128 and $160)They say that they are not able to escalate at all, they just tell us there is nothing they can do for us to help usBusiness Response

The MinuteClinic has committed a HIPAA violation within ******* that they continue to not resolve despite numerous attempts to get fixed. I went to the MinuteClinic on February 6th, 2025 and I had lab work done during the appointment. The test results and visit summary was subsequently loaded into my relative's MinuteClinic MyChart account. I do not see those test results in my account. The relative can see personal and private details about my medical appointment. MinuteClinic MyChart needs to be fixed so that me and my relative's personal information is not merged. I visited MinuteClinic on 2/6/25 and paid copay at that time after entering my insurance information on their website. I was administered both a Flu test and COVID test which I believe to be covered by my insurance. My debit card was billed $131.13 on 3/1/25. I believe that MinuteClinic failed to process my invoice through my insurance company.Business Response

Received a bill for date of service 12/10/23 for which insurace information have been supplied a total of 4 TIMES!! Insurance infomation was given at the visit as well as 3 additional times since via mail and via telephone. Why do I keep receiving bills for this date of service for something that is completely covered by insurance. I have spoke with the insurance company a total of 2 times and each time they have advised that NO claim has been submitted. They advise the clinic must be submitting the claim to the WRONG ADDRESS!! I have spoken with minute clinic and advised of such to just KEEP RECEIVING BILLS!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? IS THERE A LACK OF INTELLIGENCE ON THE PART OF MINUTE CLINIC? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE OR IMPETUS TO DO WORK THOROUGHLY? The fact that the same exact issue was experienced with my mother's account for the same date of service proves that there is a serious disconnect with billing on Minute Clinic's part. Both of these bills were contested at the same time (during the times listed above via mail & phone) with only my mother's appearing to be resolved. My bill is STILL OUTSTANDING. even though the exact same insurance information was supplied for my date of service. Instead of repeatedly sending me a bill for a covered service, I would suggest you FILE THE CLAIM CORRECTLY!! That will be the ONLY way the bill will be paid. In the interim, STOP SENDING A BILL TO MY RESIDENCE OR MY NEXT STEP IS TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE ***************************************** AS WELL AS THE *****************************The amount of time that has been stolen from my life to handle this repeated situation should be criminal!! A flu shot should NEVER require this amount of clean up work on the patients part. I will NEVER do business with Minute Clinic again in life!!Business Response

I went to urgent care and received a bill that was much higher than my insurances explanation of benefits. I tried calling the company several times and waited on hold for over an hour never able to talk to anyone about my billing questions. The company then decided to charge my credit card the full amount of ****** instead of the $20.00 it should have been.Business Response

My son was sick and we hurriedly went to Minute Clinic to have him checked out. Visited the office on 1/17/25 Was charged 2/9/25 Total amount charged $1231.40 When you arrive on-site, there is a sign with pricing information. For general illnesses, it lists the visit as: $99-$139. I was charged 10 times that amount. Minute Clinic has done nothing to help resolve this issue.Business Response

Ive been having some weird health issues so I thought it might be a good idea to get a diabetes test just to rule it out because it does run in my family. I was working in ********** away from where I live and wouldnt be home for a long time. I figured my insurance wouldnt cover it because I was out of state but at the CVS Minute Clinic they were advertising the test as costing around $59 so I figured Id just pay out of pocket. When I went in the physician asked me about insurance and I told her I didnt think my insurance would even cover it but she said she might as well try. Couldnt hurt right? It did hurt, a lot. I got a bill for around $600 for a test that theyre still advertising as costing $59. When I tried to get it resolved by calling ***, ****** the billing company and my insurance company they all said they didnt know how to do anything about it. When I asked to speak to someone above them that might be able to help at the *** billing ***** they said their manager didnt have authority to do anything either. If this isnt an inentional scam it most certainly shows a high level incompetence from both the physician and the billing ***** Youd think the physician would point out the fact that if my claim is denied I have to pay the amount that theyre overbilling the insurance company instead of the $59 that it would have cost out of pocket. I dont want to sound paranoid but all of this incompetence seems extremely beneficial to the companies bottom line. Im just trying to figure out what recourse I have because it seems crazy that I should have to pay 10x as much as the price that they advertised because they dont know how to do their jobs. I was also curious if this fell under the No Surprises Act? This bill certainly was a surprise. Thanks in advance for any help or info that you might be able to provide.Business Response
